I’m really struggling to get enough iron nuggets ☹️. Do I need to travel to another island to get them? If feels like I’ll never manage to build a shop at this rate!

@Jayne05 yeah you need to travel to other islands to hit their rocks. Some have 5 rocks on them so you will soon rack them up. If you just do it on your own island will take you forever! As a tip too, when you are done on the other islands with getting resources, eat some fruit and smash the rocks to get the last bit of iron/stone from them. Just don't do this on your own rocks!

Dd and myself have been playing animal crossing in some variation for ten years now. Hadn't realised it had been long but I bought the wii with the city folk game when she was just five. We'd been counting down the days for this one.

I love most things about the game and the only way it could be perfect is the same console multiplayer being split screen and not tethering players to each other. It was the feature we were really looking forward to as we share a device, but it's shit :(.

I have peaches (native) apples and pears and would love if someone would be willing to trade the above for some oranges and cherries. Flowers are something I need too, only have windflowers, hyacinths and pansies so would love to visit anyone Nook store to buy seeds too.

I'm going to go through and add peoples codes but if anyone is interested in either just trading fruit and flowers etc, or in playing I'd happily send my code via PM. I won't run in your flowers or take anything without asking first and that's all I'd ask for any visitors too.

I have the family subscription for the Nintendo network which lets you add eight profile I think.

I'm only using five of those slots. If anyone isn't wanting to pull out for the membership I'm happy to add any MNers to my "family" and give you free membership until the end of December. I'd need the email address linked to your nintendo account to invite you to my "family"

I'm currently on a travel island. Just gonna try grabbing what I can from that and will generate a dodo code.

There's a trick to get tarantulas.

Use a Nook miles ticket to travel to an island, clear it of trees and flowers, you need to chop the trees and dig up the stumps so you'll need to have eaten fruit for strength.
Flowers just need to be picked and not dug up.
Dump it all on the beach.
All you'll need left with is creatures spawning, walk around the island chasing any insects away and tarantulas will spawn.
It took me a while but I filled my inventory up with tarantulas and sold them for over 200k bells.
They're easy to catch, the main thing is to not run, just edge closer even when they're legs are raised then when you're close enough for your net to reach swipe them.

Anyone else buying the guide when its released? I've got it in pre order and hoping it's like the new leaf guide where you can tick off items you've bought in the last etc. It's dds book and she's paying for it with her bday money. The last one got a lot of use so hopefully this one will too. I currently have an app that cost £2.99 and has a tick list and price guide of all the bugs, fish and fossils.

I find the bees and tarantulas much easier to catch in this game than the previous ones. I've had some amazing luck with my mystery tours and have had three islands riddled with them, last night I had an island that gave me six oarfish and every other ocean fish was red snappers and football fish.

One I'm on now is raining and I really hope I catch a coelacanth. Took me three years to get in city folk.

If you install the MyNintendo app you can libk your game to the app and use the phone to chat to visiting friends. It's much much easier than using the switch screen.

Oh my God, I have found my people!

...Apart from the fact that I'm still waiting for it to arrive, pre-ordered it off Ebay a few weeks ago, was meant to be delivered by last Friday at the latest. I've sent them a polite nudge to say "hey, I know things are hectic right now, but... a little communication?"

I started with ACNL when it came out in 2013, then got ACCF and ACWW over time. I was weirdly excited about ACHHH, so much so that I ended up with a version of it that I probably shouldn't have had, as half the features were missing!

Please watch this space, I will be back when the game arrives!

Can I join?

Started 4 days ago, just waiting for my museum to finish building but opened my shop this morning.

Need clay for the bridge though, when I needed iron all I got was clay and now it's the other way round

We are loving it too, got 4 different family members that can visit and the 'playdates' are a really nice way to connect up. We did a treasure hunt last night by burying cool stuff. Son has labelled fruit trees by putting a custom pattern on the floor which is pretty useful. We've taken a branch of the museum each, I Love Love my sealife 😂

Just had a rainy island. Spent an hour trying to catch a coelacanth. Failed epically.

But did get a String fish and Blue Marlin which Blathers will be pleased with!

Still no sign of a string fish gah... lol

I think I'd like to do the visiting tonight if anyone is about!?

I have all the fruits now I think so if you post your dodo code between 7.30 and 9.00ish tonight and any fruits you could do with I will pop over with some :)

I spent bloody ages on my island trying for a Stringfish. Got one almost immediately on a mystery island. Was raining, not sure if that makes a difference!
