Shiny new thread. Work means I've only walked 5.2km this week, though Fitbit says it's 11.9.

I'm not sure either but Mr 40x12 is adamant that we will. I've got a lot going on this week so don't know if I can find the time. DS wants to though so we went for a walk today. His phone logged 15.7 km, but mine is on 11.5. We walked together.

I didn’t get any shinies in that event. I play every day on the way to and from work (slow bus!) and some evenings too and a fair bit last weekend. Clicked on every single lileep and anorith I saw which was a LOT (and the very few onix!) but nothing. Very disappointed

I got two shinies during the event; a buneary and a seel. Not quite what I was expecting!

No shinies here either. Can't remember the last time I got a shiny anything!

No chance of 50k with this weather.

Ds2 and I both have shiny eep! And Ds2 got a shiny dude, first spawn of the event.

I didn't get any event shinies either but that's par for the course. I did hatch this yesterday though which cheered me up. Mind you I would have preferred a riolu or chingling. I just cannot seem to hatch either of them and it's getting boring now.

Took her to the park yesterday afternoon and there were only a handful of other people there, 3 of them had border terriers!

It's my understanding that we will get the bonus stardust for the second week even if we got it for the first.

Do you know Little Donkey? Its a gym. I'm sure I've never noticed a donkey and I've been up and down that road hundreds of times!

@BaronessBomburst The little donkey is the restaurant next door to Aldi, it used to have a donkey outside haha! I love that gym - my mon's seem to last ages there

I did very well during the event shiny-wise; 2 Lileeps, 2 Anoriths and an Onix and then I've just caught this little cutie a few minutes ago. A good week for me

We can now check IV from Pokegenie without coming out of PoGo on iPhones. That’s going to keep me busy for a while!

I'm giving up on the 50km this week.
I've been walking with DS. His phone has tracked 28 km, mine says 21 km. He'll go for a walk with DH this afternoon too whereas I'm at work all day and won't be home until after 7.30 pm. I just won't have the time to walk 30 km over the weekend!
Oh well, it was only a bonus anyway.

Oh, but on a more exciting note: you can nominate stops in Germany now, as someone said upthread.
Well, my village and half the town are in a German Ingress cell! It's always annoyed the hell out of us before, I mean come on, the wrong town is bad enough but the wrong country?! And the weather is always wrong too as it's often raining on the hills behind us, but now the group are going mad nominating anything and everything. I didn't think it was possible as Mr 40x12 and his Ingress mates have been pretty efficient but gyms and even more stops are appearing daily.
DS and I are going to work though the cycle paths out the back at the weekend to see if we can get any stops added for his classmates who live on the farms there. One of the level 40 players says he'll submit the photos for us.

I can’t work out how to do pokegenie on iPhone without coming out of it

Soubriquet if I open PokeGenie and keep it open in the background, taking a screenshot in PokemonGO brings a pop up at the top of the screen. It times out after about 3 mins though so you have to keep PokeGenie active by popping in and out of it.
