Shiny new thread. Work means I've only walked 5.2km this week, though Fitbit says it's 11.9.

@bettytaghetti @BaronessBomburst I've opened gifts from you today so we are ready for tomorrow. I will make sure that anyone else I can level up with has a gift from me in time for 4pm and won't open any myself as I have lost track of who is who and who is participating and I don't want to trigger anything for people without a lucky egg on (I'm Malidice).

Just to clarify on the friends thing. If it says one day left to great friends and you send or receive a gift on opening that does that make you great friends or do you have to send a gift at 1 day then open another to become friends? Sorry if that sounds confusing lol

Hi, I know I'm late to the Pokémon party, but do you mind if I join in?

I've had the app since it started, but only played it on whim. Started to get back into it recently.
I'm only a level 22, with no shiny Pokémon, but I'm keen. I'm trying to fit playing it in with life and work, which isn't easy. Esp when the app decides I haven't moved much when I have.

@whereareyousleep. Depends. If there is a blue halo around the friends avatar, you have already gone up one day in your friendship today. Any more interaction won’t count on that day to your friendship level.

As far as I can workout, the interaction that counts is opening a gift, whenever it was sent. Just sending the gift doesn’t trigger on it’s own.

I also believe trading and raiding counts on increasing friendship levels, to just opening gifts.

To everyone I’m planning on levelling up with tomorrow with MsSnuddle and TheFrankster. I may not be able to join in after all. My dad’s in hospital and I’m driving over to to do some shopping for mum and then take her to visit him. (Stubborn old bugger refuses to use a Zimmer frame and keeps falling over, did it once too often so he’s been hoiked in for tests).

I’ll try and find time between 4 and 4.15 to slip away, but won’t be able to do that if I’m driving. Apologies, but real life sometime creeps in!

I was hoping someone could explain Community Day? My phone sent me a message about it but when I click to read it it opens Pokemon Go and I can't see the message anywhere. I've looked in News and Events etc. I think we miss lots this way as judging from this thread there have been quite a few "special days"?
