I live in it. The south west of Ireland. I’ve moved around a lot internationally, including hot, dry, sunny places, and it’s by far my favourite.

Kendal Cumbria

You like cold and rain? I can’t imagine! it’s my worse nightmare!

DelphiniumBlue · 13/10/2026 23:37

Wales..we stayed near Fishguard and the whole area was flooded, country roads impassable etc, nonstop rain, but it seemed normal to the locals. The local ( indoor) market certainly seemed prepared in terms of of wellies and rain gear, we were very grateful to be able to get everything we needed.

EclipsesAreBoring · 13/10/2026 23:39

Pembrokeshire, near Fishguard.

CrispyK · 14/10/2026 00:16

Saundersfoot, near Tenby (Pembrokeshire again!) in June. Rained all day every.single.day.

A close second to that is Snowdon area.

Plockton, Scotland. Was there for two weeks and it remained solidly until the last day. 😣

It’s never cold! Mild climate. But wet, yes. I lived in the ME for a few years and much prefer the climate here.

didntlikeanyofthesuggestions · 14/10/2026 00:26

The north. Dreary.

Lemonapplepear · 14/10/2026 00:28

Snowdonia!

According to my Alexa 😁 your average temperature in the summer is 15 degrees, that’s cold in my books. 😂. And with rain… I couldn’t cope. But as my mum would say - what would happen to the other colours if we all only liked yellow?

mmmarmalade · 14/10/2026 00:38

Bath!?

Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿
We literally drove across the border and it started to rain.

LadyWiddiothethird · 14/10/2026 00:42

Isle of Mull.

Goodmorningeveryone26 · 14/10/2026 00:47

Dartmoor

Kleptronic · 14/10/2026 00:56

I’m going to buck the trend and say Manchester, every time I go it rains, every single time and I’ve been there lots as I’m only 40 miles away. Been to Wales loads, been to Mull, been to Dublin and Galway and Belfast, been all round the Lakes and it’s still Manchester. Love it but always damp.

CherryKerry · 14/10/2026 00:57

Craziest rain I've ever seen was in Turkey but it passed in 20 minutes and then we were straight back in the pool again 😆.

Wettest place ever in terms of just raining and never stopping for weeks is where I am in Scotland. A few years ago it rained for every single day of the school summer holidays, parents were all round the bend with it.

Do you remember when we had snow over most of Ireland but Kerry was the only place on the satellite map that was still snow free?
