Other requirements for staff room entry include the ability to find the staff room, the ability to find a clean mug in the staff room, knowledge of the photocopier codes, and the ability to sniff out where the booze is stashed - Thirsty Tuesdays, Fizz Fridays now in operation.

If you come with a stick to goad us then that is not allowed in the staffroom and you will receive a detention

I straddle 2 local authorities (well not personally: am not Colossus) : in one the Lab MP and the LD elected mayor are calling for and supporting school closures and lifting fines. In the other true blue borough the council are sending out FB posts about 'supporting schools to stay open'. Lots of positive comments to our mayor and the MP. the council in my school's borough : safe to say it went down like a bucket of cold sick.

I’ve not done Lang for ages but recently studied Men’s Health in media for representations of men - this cover to be exact - some great stuff on imperative verbs/semantic fields etc.

After my bolshy moment with HoD this morning she has emailed me asking me to go and see her tomorrow morning after the one lesson I have with the exam group...I hate that email!

That's crazy. Ours are in far apart rooms and still having staggered lunches in their usual year group areas and using separate toilets.

My head said today schools should be closed so feel they would be supportive of us sending section 44 letters if it does come to that. They did allude it would be better if Boris just did it tonight though!

I love the sperm one though. The sperm is active, valiant, swimming purposefully etc and the egg is a passive blob waiting to be rescued.

Am feeling desperate. We pulled out all the stops for online learning last year, but have been told today we need to 'up our game'.

Hello all!
Utterly exhausted after Inset. No downtime given for any lesson prep (online or in person) but 'as a concession' the meeting took place over zoom rather than in the hall. HT will want us all in regardless even if they close the primaries as we are to cover KW children in own classes while teaching online.
So sorry to read of your colleague, @Evvyjb - awful news to come back to.
