Other requirements for staff room entry include the ability to find the staff room, the ability to find a clean mug in the staff room, knowledge of the photocopier codes, and the ability to sniff out where the booze is stashed - Thirsty Tuesdays, Fizz Fridays now in operation.

If you come with a stick to goad us then that is not allowed in the staffroom and you will receive a detention

Feel quite demoralised after my office stint today. Apparently parents have been posting all over SM about their mixed household get togethers over the holidays. Pupils flying back from travel corridor countries and coming straight into school. Which is not against the guidance, amazingly, but is not limiting contacts is it!

In November we had one even worse than this!

A family told us they were self isolating after their Dad tested positive - We sent meal vouchers and all sorts to them - on the day they were due to return I was tipped off by a parent that they had actually just arrived back from Pakistan yesterday (Pakistan was on the isolation list).

The Head & I had no choice to report the incident to the police - they were great! within 30 minutes they were at the house and they received a fine.

I've got a bit of love for Tom Sherrington even though I am not a scientist. He has proper kicked off over the last couple of weeks on Twitter, unlike some if the other twitterati who are obviously trying to feather their nests with the government by remaining silent
