You are most welcome to this school staff support thread to get us through stressful times. It is meant for school staff only – a sort of room of requirement. Baiters, haters, goaders, and bashers can jog on somewhere else.

If you are NOT staff and just have a general education query please start your own thread.

You can play here if you are a member of one the following groups-

-ABBA - anti bashers and baiting association
-SWAB - school workers against bashers
-SWOT - school workers opposing teacherbashers
-STARS - schoolworkers together against ranting + slurs

Do not give the staffroom password just in case it attracts the wrong sort

Other requirements for staff room entry include the ability to find the staff room, the ability to find a clean mug in the staff room, knowledge of the photocopier codes, and the ability to sniff out where the booze is stashed - Thirsty Tuesdays, Fizz Fridays now in operation.

If you come with a stick to goad us then that is not allowed in the staffroom and you will receive a detention

11.59pm on Sunday, Lonely.

Iamnotthe1 · 30/12/2020 16:35

@Mrsbrownsgargoyle

God, you can really tell who's been U4Ted can't you.
It's ridiculous. It's like someone in that group has got hold of Gav's black book from when he was chief whip.
SantaAssociationRepresentitve · 30/12/2020 16:35

No one is asking about the safety of staff ....

Monkeytennis97 · 30/12/2020 16:36

Turned to Sky news now

Isthatitnow · 30/12/2020 16:36

I think I’m going to have to resign. My own family needs me alive and well.

The "schools are safe" lie has to be maintained at all costs.
TheHoneyBadger · 30/12/2020 16:36

Wondering if one of the U4T women have another love child of Boris' to hold over them.

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 30/12/2020 16:36

Knee jerk reactions about school closing? ICU capacity in London is at 114% a closing might have been a knee jerk reaction about 6 weeks ago FFS.

Mrsbrownsgargoyle · 30/12/2020 16:38

I know, Rafals 😥

RigaBalsam · 30/12/2020 16:38

Only remote for y11

ItsIgginningtolookalotlikeXmas · 30/12/2020 16:38

There was a question about vaccination which he side swerved I noticed

Frlrlrubert · 30/12/2020 16:38

Does he realise that a 'knee jerk reaction' is a reflex - I.e. something you do immediately instead of dithering about thinking when there is DANGER

flumposie · 30/12/2020 16:38

What a load of shite. They really don't give a shit about us.

starrynight19 · 30/12/2020 16:38

This job is just not worth it Sad

TheHoneyBadger · 30/12/2020 16:38

He needs to stop doing fake thanks - every time he thanks us and pretends to have any respect for us just makes me want to kill him more.

NeurotreeWenceslas · 30/12/2020 16:39

Green was the only one to mention sen schools so she gets a small star from me.

flumposie · 30/12/2020 16:39

So glad I've not wasted my holiday planning lessons for next week yet.

SaltyAF · 30/12/2020 16:40

Has he definitely said that close contacts won't be sent home?

WhenSheWasBad · 30/12/2020 16:40

Stupid bloody government.

I have a horrible feeling the situation in the NHS is going to get considerably worse over the next week.
I really hope no one I love needs emergency treatment over the next 6 months.

PumpkinPie2016 · 30/12/2020 16:40

So basically, in secondary, things have just sort of shifted on a week.

As I understand it, 11/13 online next week, others at home (online?) Apart from vulnerable/key workers. Then 11/13 return from 11th and all others taught online. All back 18th. Waiting now for further details from the head for plans for our school.

Primaries have basically been thrown under the bus Sad

And still nothing on exams!

Saucery · 30/12/2020 16:40

I hope the testing does materialise. Will save me having to drive a minimum of 15 miles despite there being a test Centre a mile away every time the dangerous conditions in my workplace give me Covid symptoms.

SmileEachDay · 30/12/2020 16:40

Where’s that from Riga?

TheHoneyBadger · 30/12/2020 16:40

@RigaBalsam

Only remote for y11
Well then what the fuck are we meant to be doing with the kw kids? Teaching them stuff that none of the other kids have access to?

This is ridiculous. I've set my remote learning and if everyone had then the kw kids could be doing that remote learning in school not having different provision than kids at home.

Am I meant to now remove the lessons I've set?

NeurotreeWenceslas · 30/12/2020 16:40

Whole thing a pile of shite.
