Other requirements for staff room entry include the ability to find the staff room, the ability to find a clean mug in the staff room, knowledge of the photocopier codes, and the ability to sniff out where the booze is stashed - Thirsty Tuesdays, Fizz Fridays now in operation.

If you come with a stick to goad us then that is not allowed in the staffroom and you will receive a detention

@CallmeAngelGabriel - definitely yes to gin! Monday gin is a thing now.

@BreadSaucery - I can only dream of glue sticks. We’re at the ‘scrape it out with a spatula’ or face the dreaded pva stage now.

Hi @HarrietDVane I’m primary too - Year 3. Also post infrequently but that’s mainly due to our two year old being utterly incapable of independent play (spoilt by doting grandparents all day when we’re at work), so when she’s in bed any ‘free’ time is taken up with schoolwork.

I agree, secondaries are bearing the brunt of this right now. At least a stern look quells even the most feral of pandemic hyped eight year olds. I doubt it works on teenagers....

@Timeturnerplease - I’m also Year 3. The cold, disapproving stare works brilliantly at school, but is fairly ineffective against my teenage DDs.

Greenwich seeking legal advice. Looks like they won’t be retracting it for tomorrow because the letter was received too late.

Assuming Friday is INSET does Gav really want to do this over 2 days. If Greenwich just said no, it’s not going to be resolved by Friday anyway. By the time the government manage to legally enforce it term will have finished.

I really haven't got anything to say so I'm just marking my place. Except that both DCs are snotty so god knows what I'm going to do with them given that Welsh primaries have shut. It's so embarrassing having to keep taking time off.

BBC website has no mention of this evening's moves.

Just had the most fucking irritating parent email ever. Their child is lovely fortunately. Keep trying to picture the child and stay calm to stop me stomping round my house swearing loudly.

If it weren't so terrible, it would almost be amusing.

I feel like one of the compliant kids in the class, sitting back and watching the naughty kids winding the (weak and ineffectual) teacher up, and receiving more and more desperate threats of phone calls home and detentions.

I hope Greenwich stand their ground.
