Absolutely. I'm really worried about all the incompetent government decisions are widening the north/south divide. Wars have been started over less.

And that’s where I am! This has all been a joke to get to this point and so many teachers, children and parents have been hung out to dry!

So next week they'll be wanting to test kids-how big is the uptake going to be when they know a positive result would mean the whole family isolating for 2 weeks over Christmas? Why do they leave everything too late?

I’m actually shocked the government has finally admitted schools are a source of transmission. Honestly thought they’d just keep lying (government has form for this).

As a Northerner I’m slightly pissed off it too spread in London to make the difference.

Also incandescent. The fact they were even discussing it on R4 this morning re "should we close London schools?" when the media ignored Manchester, Liverpool, the NE and Hull... Full on rage.

(I'm not north, I'm Midlands. But just look at how ignored Leicester was... The Education Secretary and PM didn't even know they start back a week early there. The fucking Midlands exists even less than the North to the media.)

Please don't blame us down south ! We have been shouting about unsafe schools since Spring too. It's disgusting what the government done ignoring northern and midlands areas - but not our fault. We are all together in this I hope. We are being treated like 💩

One of mine (own) got sent home today to self isolate for 14 days. Things aren’t too bad in my primary but it is tearing through my eldest’s school so really hoping we don’t get another phone call next week for them.

Oh no, I’m not blaming the people who live down South! Just the ones in Govt and Public Health. They can get to fuck.

@Danglingmod I'd love to be northern ! Yorkshire is my favourite place on earth. Had the misfortune to be born in expensive London. Hard to leave family. Although retirement in seaside town is my aim.
