Just in case she got lucky and is in the one school that still goes to the pub.

Well, that's because I opened all the windows. Sorry again.

PumpkinPie2016 · 29/12/2020 10:34

We also have snow here! It's lovely. Getting ready to take DS out for a snowy walk to the village soon.

Good Christmas baking! I am a terrible baker so I'm always envious of those who can bake Cake

DollyMixtureLulus · 29/12/2020 10:35

Jings, things are crazy out in wider mn world. How can we be so needed (illiterate, vulnerable, starving, depressed children) and so despised at the same time?!

Piggyinblankets · 29/12/2020 10:35

harriet I have put on 7lbs and am now grumpily eating shortbread.

ChloeDecker · 29/12/2020 10:36

I’ve come with milk for the teas and coffees! (And any hot water bottles needed!)

Really would love some snow in London-it would really cheer my little one up!

Jinglingmod · 29/12/2020 10:37

I think I've lost a few pounds over Christmas (much needed)... I've even been too miserable to eat much 😲

Piggy, are you my spirit animal (chief window opener)?

MsAwesomeReindeer · 29/12/2020 10:37

No snow here. Just a cold and frosty morning.

Hercwasonasnowball · 29/12/2020 10:38

Popping in for a little cry. Was supposed to (responsibly and legally) see a friend today but now am not (long story involving government incompetence). I'm so fed up with this shit. I'm dreading going back to work. I know whatever happens we'll cope with but I need time to mentally prepare. I'm not a 'wing it' person naturally and it takes so much energy.

Mrsbrownsgargoyle · 29/12/2020 10:38

Place marking with offer of my last homemade parmesan biscuit.

flumposie · 29/12/2020 10:41

I've put 5 pounds on. This is on top of the weight I put on last Christmas and lockdown weight so in reality have over a stone to lose. Starting to be healthier in January as have chocolate and alcohol presents to consume this weekBlush

ChloeDecker · 29/12/2020 10:43

I hate winging it too Hercwasonasnowball and have already spent hours tweaking my resources to work on a Teams lesson for KS3. It would have been a whole lot easier if we could have had some socialising (in the higher tiers at least) to recharge some batteries but it’s been the complete opposite.

CallmeAngelGabriel · 29/12/2020 10:44

There were a couple of hum-dinger TB threads on here overnight. Two of them were deleted by the night-watch. 0/10 for effort on the originality front, but still people got sucked in.

MsAwesomeReindeer · 29/12/2020 10:44

Harriet I lost about 6lbs in a couple of weeks when I first started low carb. I have plenty left to lose, including about 5/6lbs I've put back on over Christmas. I'm getting back on the low carb wagon on new year's day. It is difficult for the first few days as you get over the carb cravings, but it's easy once you get over that. I lost quite a bit quite quickly by doing SW a few years ago too, but put all of that back on.

Piggyinblankets · 29/12/2020 10:44

I may well be jingling! I have a pole for the top ones and everything!

Achristmaspudsskidu · 29/12/2020 10:48

Here we are, secondary staff colleagues-7 easy steps for you Wink. It sounds easy leash.

RigaBalsam · 29/12/2020 10:49

Is this seriously it or are they waiting for a National lockdown?

So we are back in packed classrooms on Monday? Brilliant!

What was even said at the meeting!

CallmeAngelGabriel · 29/12/2020 10:51

I reckon they are sitting on what was discussed/decided at that meeting (if it even happened) until later in the week when they get some more facts and figures and decide whether Tier 5/Total Lockdown is happening.

HarrietDVane · 29/12/2020 10:53

@MsAwesomeReindeer

I tried SW a good few years ago - lost 2st and then hit a plateau which never budged. I really didn’t enjoy the meetings either. Low carb is worth a try; how ‘low’ do you go?

Hercwasonasnowball · 29/12/2020 10:54

Those steps are ridiculous. As if a SBM doesn't have another job they need to be doing Hmm

Jinglingmod · 29/12/2020 10:54

Ridiculous.

We do not have a room that could be used for this (hall is also the canteen) and we do not have any laptops. Or any spare rooms for children to sit in to await collection (other than one small medical room).

Logistically impossible in my school.

Jinglingmod · 29/12/2020 10:55

Also, in A MAT, SBMs don't really exist.

Data/finance/HR/IT all supported and work centrally. We have three admin staff. That's it.

CallmeAngelGabriel · 29/12/2020 10:56

Don't most secondary schools use their halls for exams?

90 seconds per test????

Who pays for all that equipment?

How come PPE is provided for these staff members, but not for the rest of us?

Viciouslybashed · 29/12/2020 10:57

I can't believe how simple it is 🤔. This is insanity.

Piggyinblankets · 29/12/2020 10:57

Well , all of those 'easy' steps would work just beautifully in my split site school!

ItsIgginningtolookalotlikeXmas · 29/12/2020 10:57

Think I'll take a break from looking at news online and take ds out in the snow. I like seeing it when I don't actually have to get anywhere! I hope there will be some more sensible news later for you all.
