Yes I was wondering about that too!

Will any of it involve doing the school run??!

PHs school runs appear to have been first week then straight back over the Atlantic

Can't see all the royals turning out to 2 special Carol events.

bluegreygreen · 30/09/2026 12:09

The concert for the King's Trust it's likely to be similar to one of his charity engagements, with people involved with the Trust attending.

ETA It may be the UK equivalent of the King's Trust Gala dinner which was held in New York.

Can't see all the royals turning out to 2 special Carol events.

They won’t.
Catherine’s features the Middletons and various more peripheral royals of their generation.
Team Wales if you will.

Charles’s service will feature older Royals and people associated with The King’s Trust.

I wouldn’t expect much crossover. Nothing to do with choosing to support one rather than the other. Different generations, different charities and different benefactors and donors etc.

Also KC’s one is a fund raiser. Catherine’s is about recognition and rewarding those hard workers who support the charities. etc.

Why is he attending this? Smacks of a faux royal gig

Because stupid organisations invite him, still thinking he's royal adjacent, but I would guess that the King's letter on Harry being a private citizen will result in a lot less of this kind of thing.

At the end of the last thread, a poster commented that “white van, men with back packs” is almost identical to what happened at Fairford and that the Sussexes can’t even be original with their security threats. I absolutely agree and I’m sure there are other examples of the Sussexes copy catting other well known incidents eg the near catastrophic car chase to echo what happened in Paris and Meghan jumping in to the pool in the exact same pose as Diana. They really do think no one will notice 🙄

I agree and now further details are coming out …not terrorists , no bomb or explosives and one phoned the police himself!
ham really should have waited before copying this particular event….they are going to look even more ridiculous!

I don't think he would or should be invited to the POW's Carol Concert

But I wondered whether KC would invite him to the King's Trust one because he's in a 'damned if you do and damned if you don't' position with Harry

I can't see H&M being invited to Sandringham and, I believe, there is usually a large family dinner at BP prior to Christmas for all the extended family and I can't see them being invited to that either (because the Wales would refuse to attend if the Sussexes went) so the Carol Service is the only possible event they could be invited to

"But I wondered whether KC would invite him to the King's Trust one because he's in a 'damned if you do and damned if you don't' position with Harry."

I don't think the King is in any position over Harry. While the tabloids may try to stir their usual trouble, I doubt the general public could care less if Harry is invited or not. Besides, this is an event for the King's Trust, so the focus should be on the Trust and its work over the years.

I could actually see them being invited to that, if they are invited to anything.

It's extended family, and it's a short event (people drive there and then leave afterwards); unlike Sandringham, where people are staying over.
There would be little time for private conversation, and I'm sure the Wales family could easily keep out of their way.
It would be a good way to show to the world that there is no 'feud' but that they remain on the outskirts of the family - wedding and funeral acquaintances.

Will they even be here at Christmas? The long Christmas holidays are a great opportunity for Harry and Meghan to take the kids back home to warmer California, where they can check on the chickens and spend Christmas with granny Doria.

Tabbytiger122 · 30/09/2026 11:11

Not even wedding acquaintance.
Ham got no invite to Peter's wedding, that must have stung!

Is it certain he didn't get an invite or was he just not in the country?

If they had been invited, they'd have been there! All that publicity! The cameras, the pictures!
The kind of exposure they love.

Starryfifty · 30/09/2026 12:31

CG on Dan W. She said courtiers were aware of Meg taking notes on visits and Palace do not respond to communication from HAM. KC would be crazy to allow them anywhere near the RF. It been nothing but chaos since they have returned and this museum gig is a deliberate faux Royal gig. They will continue with this unfortunately

Marking my place to get access to October's Public Engagement Court Circular for the Royal Prince of England

I don’t see why Scotland, Wales and N Ireland should escape the honour of being princed by H! Lucky so-and-sos.

I see KC is hosting a Carol Service this year ~

Event Name: The King's Trust Christmas Carol Concert
Date & Time: Wednesday, December 2, 2026
Venue: Westminster Abbey, London
Description: A ticketed fundraising gala featuring timeless carols, special readings, and musical performances to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the charity.
Tickets/Cost: Ticketed fundraising event; further details and booking are available directly via The King's Trust Events Page

Do you think KC will invite the Sussexes? If he did, it would take pressure off the POW inviting them to her Carol Concert

There is no pressure to invite them to Catherine's service. No one in their right mind would expect them to be present.
The press will spin it, obviously. But that's for clicks.

The Imperial War Museum event isn't something Harry himself has organised. It's a fundraiser organised by something called Unity For Freedom, which collects funds for aid to Ukraine. It's a US-based organisation so they probably don't understand what a royal actually is and, because he's been to Ukraine a couple of times, they thought he would be a good attraction. They're obviously a bit naive.

OFFS The Tale of the White Van has made the radio news linked to RAF fairford. I guess that means that the radio news agencies are still in the WhatsApp group. I don’t need to guess who made the connection. If only the combover was as well stretched.

The connection with Fairford was made in a statement issued by HAM's 'officials'. I detect the hand of Meghan. M must have been determined since the weekend to make something of Fairford.

Given that the Fairford goings on are sounding more and more fishy, I’m not sure anyone is going to be too bothered anyway by the Sussexes overt machinations to insert themselves in to a situation that doesn’t seem to be what it appears at first glance. That mackerel seems to be back again…

Starryfifty · 30/09/2026 13:00

Don’t the RF members usually take their children to the pre Christmas lunch?
it might be the first opportunity for A&L to meet the cousins.
Though I can imagine the cousins closing ranks to the interlopers, headed up by Mia Tindall 😜

Charles won't risk inviting HAM, surely. Everyone would enjoy themselves far less. Or he could do a Doodle poll asking whether they should be invited.

If they're in the UK at the timeI guess that might make some sort of sense, bluegreygreen. There'd still be the risk of them buttonholing anyone prepared to talk to them and reporting "a warm welcome from the family" later, but apparently a LOT of extended family attend so it should be possible to contain them

Personally I'm still hoping they'll have cleared off somewhere - anywhere - else by then, but we'll see

I honestly don't see why KC should include them in anything. If he does, it will be leaked. Meg felt ignored, blah blah

I thought they were going back to California for Christmas?

A spokesman for Harry and Meghan, who moved back to the UK last month, called the actions “an extraordinary lack of judgment” in the wake of the suspected terror plot near RAF Fairford, with a number of American children with families connected to the base said to attend the school.

two news articles ( independent and mirror) both included the above quote from ham !
yes they are now risking the welfare of other children in their pursuit of security!
disgusting behaviour.

I don't believe William and Kate would be willing to go to any event where HAM are present. Why would they, after everything those two have said and done over the last few years?

According to “ sources” H has decided to commemorate Remembrance Day privately .

This really annoys me.

Yet again, the Sussexes have no care for anyone else's privacy or security:
