Yes I have read that about George and when Archie’s name was announced and it was so obviously unroyal, it showed how unimportant to the future of the monarchy H and his family were.

I can’t imagine it’s just another Diana book to tie up with the anniversary - as if she’s just signed a deal then it’s potentially a bit late in the day to write, print, distribute and launch a book in time for the anniversary - but I have no clue on publishing time lines. I would imagine everyone is going to sick to the back teeth of Diana saturation by then.

I don’t think it’s even just that they don’t want to upset William as future king. I would imagine that they can see that Harry is only out to try and make money from his late mother and that this is the wrong thing to do on every level. As a personal friend to William, I’m sure that they will not want him to be upset by Harry dredging all this stuff up
again and putting his own spin on it

It's very hard to judge the exact social nuances of names when it's not the culture you grew up in.

It wouldn't surprise me if MM still hadn't tumbled to it. Harry, on the other hand... well, he's probably never had to think about what's upper-class and what isn't, at least not until recently. And who knows what goes through Harry's head? Apart from a light breeze from one ear to the other.

William has a tight circle, and I’d guess once you’re out, you’re out. I can’t imagine anyone risking that for Harry, unless it’s someone who has cleared it with William eg some childhood friends may do some diplomacy missions

Yes, CS has been wise in getting his book out very early, before the rush.

I had a laugh at a story told by Grant Harrold (ex butler of C&D), he went to Althorp a few years ago, and met Spencer. Harrold had bought one of his books, so he asked him to sign it. He said he would.... for £25!

i always associate the name Archie with the TV series Monarch of the Glen in which the stroppy second son inherits the vast Scottish stately pile and has to run it when he’s a Londoner at heart. What fun and japes it was n’t.

Personally I think they are back, Meghan has got bored of the circus and is having a chill playing at being country gentry - or Beckham style new money. While Harry spirals determined to prove he can still be royal to try to get back in with the family but cocking it up so badly they are all eye rolling him.

The kids are in a nice posh uk school, the other parents in the school are decent people and not gossiping (outside the group) and we will have a gradual wind down of coverage as Harry's appearances become so chaotic he stops being invited and they will all fade into the background of odd relations of the royal family.

The thing is, it was my first thought too, and just because he's paranoid it doesn't mean people aren't out to get him. Tell me nobody on this thread would have done that for a laugh, or potentially for a small financial reward.

Aside of Royalness (if that’s a word) of the name I don’t find Archie a very grown up name. Nice enough for a kid but for an adult?
