I’m so over CS now. Bring on the Well Child Awards and let’s hope Harry sobers up and behaves with dignity at this event.

Has his Office released details of his October public engagements yet ? 😂

According to Dan Wootton, Meg trying to wangle an invite to 40th anniversary of Phantom of the opera party in October. However, apparently KC and Andrew LW pals

Larretin · 20/09/2026 22:10

Just wanted to say thanks to everybody for not feeding any goady pigeons. However desperate they are getting.

Well, it’s half term on 16 October so he’ll have the Harvest Festival before that and then they’ll be in Cali for a fortnight restocking the hampers for the Christmas Fayre raffle prizes.

ALW was riding in a carriage at Royal Ascot, wasn’t he?

The only reason i reported this thread is that is a series of threads targeted at 2 individuals. I disagree with that. I have been on mumsnet for years. I disagree with trashing 2 individuals in a series of threads. I think it’s cruel. I agree with many sentiments on it but it is not right. Those people are still people. I am sorry as i dislike them too but it’s not right.

I remember the harvest festival over 40 years ago where we all had to hold up relevant food donations while singing 'All Things Bright and Beautiful'. Scarred for life.

Ok. You keep saying this, you have made your point. You have also said that you're leaving.
You can report any individual posts which you think are breaking guidelines, remember?
However, this obviously isn't the thread for you.

Baital · 20/09/2026 22:19

And don't get me started on the Christmas Nativity, where parts were allocated by the Headmistress (small village school, Headmistress born in 1920s) according to her view of your moral character.

My brother never made it past shepherd. I was an angel twice. One poor boy, the eternal scapegoat, was always a sheep (although the sheep and goats will be separated, I understand...)

Ah yes, the traditional harvest festival with carrots from the newly opened Sainsbury's (like manna from heaven for working mothers!) and tins of beans 😂
And then onto corn dolly making. God knows where they got the corn from!

Well, there are two golden opportunities for getting rid of the unsold As Ever stock right there. Hope the local food bank clients enjoy flower sprinkles!

Yes, of course. I never suggested that you shouldn't. I'm just pointing out that you've expressed significant dissatisfaction with this thread?
You've reported it, perhaps reported individual posts?
It's up to the mods now.
Perhaps take a break if it annoys you, was really my point.

This is on Spencer’s own TwiX account with a ‘tinkly laugh’ comment to accompany it:

‘Just sent this by a friend - I don’t read pieces in the Press about me (I’m not very interesting, frankly) but this is a light and fun take by @Tatlermagazine on Cat and me that made us both smile.’

Interesting timeline.

His youngest child is still quite young, I think. Was only about nine when he first met his fourth-wife-to-be.

But yet here is this paragon of virtue giving it out large about the supposed victimhood of HaM.

“Doing downward dog in front of the Van Dycks” 🤣🤣

Starryfifty · 20/09/2026 21:32

Yes absolutely. This is the end game

Agree. And it will go about as well as the previous "Endgame"

Uncle Charles and HaM are behaving as if it is the 80s/90s where print/tv were the only sources of information and people broadly trusted what they were told.

Spencer is not having a very good time of it on social media, where people are sharing information and his life choices, as well as Diana's are now being examined by people in ways they had never been before.

IMHO, it will end in tears for these drama llamas.

Starryfifty · 20/09/2026 21:37

Yes. Silence around AMW. Very odd (or is it?) 🤔

AMW probably sees which way the wind is blowing on this, and is reliant on KC for his housing.

hoteltango · 20/09/2026 22:37

There's an interesting video on YouTube of the church on the Althorp estate where the Spencer chapel is, and where Diana might be buried. But it starts off with a look at the Diana memorial overlooking the lake - it's made to look like marble but is wood. The maker of the video isn't particularly complimentary about Charles Spencer. It all kind of fits in with the HaM approach - it's all about surface looks rather than substance.

By all accounts the Montecito residents don’t have much regard for them either, now that some of them have spoken out, might make their return to Montecito a little bit uncomfortable should they want to park their armed bodyguards at the Bar of their favourite restaurant again.

Boudy · 20/09/2026 22:38

It is all such a muddle. CS on the one hand and then HaM. I just cannot think how this is all going to pan out. Surely this sort of stuff cannot go on and on and on and on!

Multibarpack · 20/09/2026 22:40

I don’t think Diana is buried on that Island precisely because it is a low lying island and you cannot bury people so close to water.

Very much agree, @Larretin.

Anyway, about HaM PR issues … I think they’ve yet again miscalculated. The more they appear to be digging up the past, the more is appearing on social media about the alleged pasts of M, H and Uncle Spencer. They risk a Pandora’s Box situation.

What strange people. That business with Spencer/Jarman and the ex-spouses and all the suing as well - I just re-read this and it’s all a bit ‘WTF?!’ territory.

A spokesperson for the countess [third wife Karen] said following the hearing that she had been “threatened with multiple legal claims” by Ms Jarman and Earl Spencer, which she believed were “co-ordinated”.

Partner of Earl Spencer settles High Court claim against his ex-wife | The Independent

Charles Spencer ended up paying both women’s legal fees, I think? While divorcing Karen and ‘dating’ Cat J.

The only(small) thing in AMW’s favour is that he is keeping quiet ,
HAM should take note .
