Apologies, as I’m going back in time here. But I still keep picturing Tom Bradby’s face in his interview with Harry - when Harry rolled back on the racism accusation. That, for me, was a fairly pivotal point. He constantly reverse ferrets, the most recent being coming back here vs “I can’t see a point when I’d bring my family …”

Will be interesting to see what happens over the next week. I know that RAVEC decisions are not publicised, but there’s no way that we won’t know what the outcome is. Harry will be letting us know one way or the other. I do worry about the RF a bit if he is given tax payer-funded security - a lot of people are not going to be happy and they’re probably going to direct their anger to KC3, even though he has no say in the decision.

For me, the biggest question is still why have they come back here? It makes no sense, whatsoever, with regards to their whole rhetoric over the past 6.5 years. None. Zilch. Nada.

I can't actually remember thinking anything about it at the time. I got so fed up with the hysteria and the continual tv coverage I pretty much stopped watching tv that week. I did watch the funeral procession because I like a bit of ceremonial, but again didn't think much about the boys walking.

While there's no shortage of other drama, I imagine Meghan is loving the way she can use Instagram to make 'cryptic' yet meaningful references to set speculation going. If only she'd got that acting job and had more to keep her occupied.

As someone who lived through the whole thing, I'm really not that interested in Diana anymore. The funeral era public hysteria seems like something from another lifetime now. I guess the book has a big audience, but I'm not in it even though theoretically I'm the right generation. I do see it's hard to have carefully separated Diana and HAM threads though.

A belated @jeffgoldblum thank you for yet another thread, I have missed a few as I’ve not been well and have only today started to feel vaguely human again! I see it’s the Wild West on the board 🤠 I’ve tried to catch up on a few but I was riding into crazy town so quickly doubled back.

It’s akin to an ex-Hollyoaks star from 2002 turning on the Christmas lights in Wigan. Especially one who went to Tinseltown to “crack America”…

I think RAVEC should tell them they are getting a lot of security but for reasons of security they cannot tell HAM what the security is except that it will be so discrete that no one, including Harry, will know that they are there….
