Buckingham Palace have said they won't be commenting further on the book. But I expect plenty of others will be and it's not even published yet so I started this second thread. I really liked Diana and thought she got treated shabbily by Charles. But really writing a book of gripes 30 years later is not on imho. I noticed on the news Harry declined to comment on it. Sensible decision for once.

They are low IQ for the most part. Harry could barely scrape an A Level. Inbreeding leads to low IQ.

In her varied sojourns here, Meghan was made Patron of the National Theatre. You would have thought Edward, given his apparent earlier interest in the arts, could have cultivated this connection rather more.

That seems a confusing non-sequitur - perhaps it wasn't intended as such.

The Queen gave Meghan the patronage of the National Theatre, one of her own patronages, when it appeared she and Harry were going to remain as senior royals.

Edward has several theatre patronages, of which the most prominent is probably the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain, whose patron he has been since 1987.

I was watching it on TV with my youngest who, when the camera panned around to Catherine, said ‘oh look the Queen’”. 😃

Oh and regarding the women’s football, William and /Charlotte attended the 2025 women’s final in Basel.

@YourAmplePlumPoster William seems bright enough but Diana wasn’t. They do marry into other non related families. Catherine is bright enough but Harry was the struggler. More like his mother.

I've always thought it a little disappointing that there does not seem to be, amongst the younger generation of royals, a strong interest in heritage, heritage being their USP. Any smidgeon of interest in the Arts is to be welcomed. I agree that Catherine might be the one to cultivate such an interest in the children.

Even given their fractured relationship and mutual antagonism, both Charles W and Charles S do have that hinterland of more cerebral pursuits.

Agree - what's the betting there is a split in profits agreed between them. I definitely think H&M are lurking in the background of all this somehow.

As for books being 'stolen'. All rather convienitent for them all.

They are all as bad as each other- although I suspect the Spencer family are a cut above in toxic behaviours, and there is a lot of Spencer in Harry.

Trying to police what a son says about his difficult childhood experiences with his mother is a very shitty thing to do

Diana wasn’t academic - but clearly she wasn’t stupid- and H possibly takes after her. KC is more intellectual and William got his degree.

Is it just the times to some extent? I know that some of my “cultured” friends have adult children who don’t share their enthusiasms.

i hope William will take up some of his father’s enthusiasms eventually. Catherine does have an Art History degree.

I’m sure there’s lots of stuff we aren’t aware of. To use the Royal Box would mean an official visit and all that entails.

She also plays the piano, is into photography and has a degree in history of art. Quite a bit of cultural hinterland there apart from tennis tbh.

This is too funny, they are living and breathing British heritage

A recent coronation, recent state funerals, ceremonial events, access to historic jewels, wearing historical ceremonial regalia, living in historic buildings. George,has just started at a school that has a 500 year history.

Roxring, my feeling is the younger generation are indeed embedded in it, but not necessarily looking around and taking much interest in it in the way KC3, for example, does.

She may well take photographs and play the piano but she doesn't show much interest in others who are wonderful at both

Why would we have to know about it? She may well have a personal interest. She may not. That doesn’t mean she has to share it with you or anyone else. Do you still have an interest in something you studied 20 years ago or has your life moved on a different direction since then? Or did your degree serve as a basis for something else perhaps as is very common

The Wales family don't post all their activities and those of their children on social media.
They are not constantly seeking publicity.

Of the top of my head, she and /Charlotte highlighted the work of Scottish composer Erland Cooper when they played the piano piece he composed. That went viral around the globe.

They also promote the photographer, Matt Porteous, an amazing photographer and they always credit their photographers
