Is anyone going to take one for the team and buy a copy of SwanSong so that we don’t have to? I remember one particularly heroic mnetter who bought the book, actually read it and then précised it for us each day.
Volunteers please take one pace forward.

<rest of thread takes one step backwards, smartish> 😁

A terrible move by H engaging with CS if he wants to mend bridges and get some royal glitter for the hamlets. Another very poor decision from them

Inaugural Spirit of Invictus Awards tonight in London …. will MM accompany PH? Will this blow CS off the front page? Will there be a near catastrophic car chase at Marble Arch or will their convoy get split up near Heston Services?…..

Ohh the pantomime…..

😅 yes and I enjoyed that cameo in the one you edited PH into.

...maybe they could just photoshop the kids into a rural English primary school? No convoy needed.

@Usernameinabeyance 😅 Seriously though I feel in Meghans world Harry is very much an outsider. It always seems about her. She muscles in on most of his engagements and makes herself the centre especially in regards to previous Invictus game. Rather than acknowledge what Harry brings to her world she gives the impression Harry needs her more she needs him … which thinking about it, from Harry’s emotional standpoint is probably true. She seems far more robust and thick skinned.

How do we know this about Camilla?

It's been quoted in multiple sources that she told "friends" that "Harry's been brainwashed". Can't be arsed to google but have definitely read it more than once.

I think it’s being serialised in the Daily Mail. You perhaps could read archive pages of it via archive.ph 👍

If the Telegraph's "understanding" is correct, relationships with Uncle Charles are going to go south pretty quickly - Harry will have to find somewhere else to stay in future.

Earl Spencer did not tell Harry and William about book claims

Princes and Buckingham Palace were not warned over contents of memoir about Diana

I can’t imagine anyone would believe a word that comes out of Charles Spencer’s mouth.

I never knew that. Thanks. I need to revise.

Makes it worse. The laptop screen is angled up. So approximating the field of view of the camera, only her eyes are showing ? (att). Whoever she is talking to has mostly ceiling to look at.

In any case. This is an online entrepreneur at work. I would expect her to have her workspace set up for doing zoom call conferences ? Likely in a faraday cage room with a wired cam to outside... for security of course. I would imagine they have a no camera rule :-)

I am sat at a normal desk just now. Laptop on desk. mouse at right hand, the webcam is fine. Mug is at right hand, behind the mouse. Elbows on the desk. Keyboard at hand level.

This setup is just ergonomically wrong. IMO. The chair is too low for the table. Or the table too high for the chair.

Here is the photo I am looking at. In the mirror. Not the AI ones where the spare chair legs are not matching the chair backs.

Meghan Markle’s birthday 'gimmick' quietly shelved after major mistake - The Mirror

Also from the mirror article photos, something with the necklace. Tagged that onto my screenshot. They look different. Yes resolution, but looks like a software smoothing tool has been used there. In the article photos, same chair and clothes. But the first photo has been heavily manipulated. It's not a depth of field thing going on there.

Ooooo thanks. That’s def an AI “mistake” with the necklace. I too assumed that jeoffs picture was AI and scrolled passed.

Good points. What I often wonder is why Harry's self-confessed use of "medication" tends to be a frequent subject of discussion while little mention is made of Markle also indulging - especially when most people will have seen the photos of her wedding to Trevor and the after-party, where she can clearly be seen handing out suspicious-looking little white packages to their guests.

She has absolutely no excuse not to join him. No doubt there'll be a huge fanfare

I was using the photos from the Mirror. I don't think it's AI. Just overuse of the smoothing brush and a very low res photo.

Now, I have no way of knowing for sure, I don't have insta, but I think it is the photos the dynamic duo send out that are low res. I do not think it is the news are compressing it to the extent these are compressed. News photos are usually a higher res.

I say that because I can't pin point the focus point of the photos. That has been smudged out with software. I can't see the fucus plane, if you see what I mean. One can usually find it from other objects in the photo. What is in focus, and what is not.

Oh dear ! Just read the comments! 99 percent are not very nice , I think Charles Spencer has misjudged the reception his revelations would receive…..

So the Telegraph says W and H didn't know about the contents of the book and the DM says Harry knew ("reportedly"). All good for clickbait, I suppose.🙄

I don't think supporters of the RF have ever forgiven him for the eulogy he gave at Diana's funeral. The cheers from those outside were audible, but I'm not sure the sentiment was widely appreciated.

Delurking to say I’ve just seen on LinkedIn reports that Harry’s team is puttting together a smear report on Justice Nicklin - as per The Telegraph - and consensus is that if true this reflects very poorly on Harry.

I’ll say! I was at a work event yesterday in the City and never before have I seen people in such consensus over a topic - everyone thinks they’re ridiculous and need to shut up and go away.

“The researcher behind the Duke of Sussex’s phone hacking claim is preparing a campaign to discredit the High Court judge who threw out the case, The Telegraph can reveal…”

No ! 🤣 , just never have and never will read a book about a royal that isn’t a history one! , I was just assuming that certain people would love to start a thread that might lead to more criticism of Charles! 😁

There is a "Royal Row" going on already - I dipped my toe in and have scuttled back to familiarity. Some of what I read has left a really nasty taste tbh.

I find it strange that this has been leaked. How can they possible think that trying to smear a high Court Judge because he came to a reasonable conclusion over a weak case is a good look 🤔

I was in our local library earlier and asked if the waiting list for the Diana book is long . She looked at me and said that there is no waiting list !

We’ve seen the literal King and Queen being driven around with less fuss than this.

There are plenty of stories of the late Queen, the present King and William out and about with minimal (visible) security.

About 10 years ago I met an ex cpo (as usual, my info is hot off the press 😅). He told me that the late queen was a nightmare for slipping out of Windsor Castle and into the town. So, not just the once. Afaik, no one ever spotted her.
