Asking questions is fine, however I may be getting the wrong impression but it felt more like criticism, the comments are the same as always 🤷‍♀️

It may be standard, but under what circumstances? It has already been said that the Waleses manage with one car. Given that the Sussexes security apparently failed to account for an ordinary level of traffic, I wouldn’t be too sure they have got this right either. How have they measured the level of threat without access to intelligence? It all seems to err more towards the performative rather than the necessary and was probably driven by the Principals imo. And it is quite possible that by over egging the security they have actually created a more dangerous situation. I think their security are between a rock and a hard place though. They may well advise one thing and the Sussexes will want to do another. They were quick to say that it was their security who had advised them that the school run was not safe, but we don’t know if that was before or after it was attempted. The Sussexes have form for abdicating responsibility to others

Oh god, the nametapes. Two children x 2 schools in the same week. No wonder they need a lot of staff.

I wonder how long it will take Archie, who is seven, to start telling his parents to stop embarrassing him and to drop him off at the top of the drive so he can walk in with his friends. For a normal child I'd say about a year - age 8-9? However I fear poor Archie is likely to go the other way and be filled with his parents' anxiety and just refuse to go to school at all.

Am I right in thinking these children will already have been subjected to the active shooter/school lockdown training which sadly seems to be a part of most American children's school experience?

I also wonder what their parents will have told the children to explain the sudden change of school, after all the fuss and excitement of getting fitted for new uniform etc and the first two days. Will they have been told Mummy and Daddy were worried the drive into school was dangerous? or maybe some other weak excuse? "We just discovered how lovely this school just down the road is and we think you will love it there even more...."

I should be extremely surprised if the Wales’ kids were turning up at school in a convoy with security guards opening the doors for them. We’ve seen the literal King and Queen being driven around with less fuss than this.

This is just ridiculous posturing, and bound to make H&M very unpopular with the parents at their new school.

I feel for the locals in the area where they are now living and roaring off in a convoy every day for the school run. I'd hate to meet them whilst innocently going on my peaceful bike ride through the lanes and local horse riders had best take note of school times and adjust their schedule accordingly. The main danger is hyped up drivers racing through the lanes and pushing through traffic calming to make sure they keep up with each other. Perhaps someone will notify local police and complain of 4x4 drivers having a race.

Do they have a need for this level of security? I doubt it but for sure we’ll know very soon if it’s all in their head or their paranoia is justified

I'm aware they don't announce decisions - though Harry will doubtless blab it - but unless they and everyone else delivers his heart's desire it seems likely the whole damned thing will kick off again with court cases and god knows what

I’m no fan of the gruesome twosome but I’m finding the picking apart of the security in order to find fault quite off putting.

But they have made their 'security' into a talking point. Not just in this instance but many times, over the past several years. Including a long, failed court 'case' defended at taxpayers' expense. Nobody else that I can think of has done such a thing. Ever.

So 'picking apart' those arrangements seems quite appropriate.

Many families far richer, more famous and more important than them take their children to school every day, in cities and towns all over the world. Not one of them has made a public fuss about their 'security'. Not one. If travelling to a private school with 4 'principals' requires high level security, causing inconvenience and delays to other families, maybe home schooling is in order. Or maybe go back to California. For some strange reason, they never seemed to have any problems there.

They have been here for 3(?) weeks . I am fairly confident that if it was felt they needed Met protection , it would have been instigated by now . Remember H’s sudden dash to see KC ; security was arranged for him then including his beloved outriders .

I think it's reasonable to comment on their current security arrangements, given that they have already, within only weeks, released several 'updates' about security issues.

What I find much more annoying is that due to his court cases Harry has almost certainly increased the risk to the rest of the family, given that few people will have previously known that the working royals only received police protection when on official duty (other than the monarch, heir and family).

I would be interested to know (though I never will) if there has been any increase in active threat or if a change has been needed to any of their arrangements since the court cases started.

There are plenty of stories of the late Queen, the present King and William out and about with minimal (visible) security.

Also, most of us muggles are only actually bemused-to-irked by them. There isn't some malevolent force out there trying to get them.

Their combined ego/neuroses pose more of a threat to their well-being. And you can't solve that with a motorcade.
