Archie is heard saying, 'I got this' in a distinctly American accent as fish writhe around in the lake waters.

Interesting that in the People video I just watched, People is spinning it with "and appears to have picked up his dad’s British accent. “Go! Go!” the 7-year-old can be heard cheering, his pronunciation sounding distinctly British."

I just tested this on my resident New-Yorker. I got him to cheer "Go! Go!" in his current accent (pretty much English these days; people occasionally hear a hint of something suspicious in it, but are polite and ask if he's Canadian). I then did it in my best RP, and asked him to do it in Brooklynese and we agreed that all three versions sounded pretty much identical.

Sorry to barge in here but I’ve just seen that video and I thought it was so strange that when the deer ran across the road Lilibeth didn’t look back at her parents. Have the children been instructed to always look ahead so that their faces don’t appear? Anyway I’m sure someone will come along to tell me I’m weird and ask why do I care?, etc. Grin

I wondered if it was 2 clips stitched together somehow (not an expert!).

I can't imagine a 5 year old calmly continuing while deer run across ahead of her - wouldn't she turn round excitedly to her parents and then turn back?

Thanks @jeffgoldblum 😊😁

Andrew’s titles seem to have effectively been removed in seconds at the Kings will. Why would it be any different for Harry?

LaMarschallin · 13/09/2026 17:22

Surely it would be odd if Archie had an English accent?
I was brought up in Wales with a Welsh mother and (very) English father but I sounded Welsh mainly because of my school friends and the people around us.
I thought Archie had been going to school in Cali.

Are they stupid? , anyone familiar with the location will be able to work out exactly where they are from that!!!

Yes, they're very stupid jeff, but at least we now appear to have some sort of proof of Meghan actually being in the UK ...

HarryLimeFoxtrot · 13/09/2026 17:24

It’s warm and humid here today. But I could definitely smell wood burner smoke. (I’m not in the Cotswolds or Northants).

JSMill · 13/09/2026 17:24

The deer have got to be fake. I have lived in the Berkshire countryside, which is full of deer, and I have only ever seen a flock of deer running together once. What are the chances it happened when M was recording 🤔.

I am pretty sure Rebecca English or one of the DM journalists said a few weeks ago , all the royal journalists know , or have a very good idea of where the two are living and the school. But they won't be revealing it. & yes I can believe H might be longing for a leak from the nasty British press. 👏 to all journalists (if they do ) who are keeping their lips / pens / computers sealed. I mean frankly it really isn't that interesting anyway & if it is leaked I'll bet a guinea to a pint of oranges it won't be a journalist it will be a loose lipped person in their immediate or wider circle.

I have to take a quick break as I have a short engagement in which I will be supporting our nation's dairy farmers and small shopkeepers. ☕

So the first thing that struck me was how amateur the filming was compared to the polished stuff the Wales family produce. I don't think that's an artistic choice but rather a sign of reduced income for social media.

Secondly it was boring. Badly filmed, all dark and jerky. I hope they have a lovely new life wherever they are but I fail to see why it needs to be filmed.

Unless they are trying to goad someone into releasing their location so they can try again to leverage security.

Do you think the deer running in the distance were genuine or AI?

Were HAM trying to make us believe they are in the Windsor area.

JaneJeffer · 13/09/2026 17:28

I was hoping for a Fenton moment Sad

Mylovelygreendress · 13/09/2026 17:29

Why are the DC in summer clothes and their parents in padded jackets etc ?

Maybe Fenton (FENTON!!!) was involved?

True….although there have been questions about the time it was filmed now ……I’m beginning to think nothing is real anymore 😱😱😱

According to the BBC, Andrew's princely title & HRH style were removed via a 'royal' warrant'. I don't know the specifics of how that works, being an American and all. His Duke title would have had to be removed by parliament, but my understanding is that Andrew agreed to stop using it and that it has been removed from the 'Roll of the Peerage', whatever that is.

I must admit that I do love the folderol involved in royalty and the peerage. Then again I don't have to pay for any of it. But I DO have to pay for the shitshow that is our current administration, but at least that clown will be gone in a couple of years.

ETA I don't know if KC has that heart to do that to his son absent some sort of crime or extremely egregious behaviour. So far H is just acting like an ignorant buffoon.

No. Who's got a roaring fire going? I'm oop North and it's 21°c.

That still of the fire could have been taken months ago. We know she likes to engineer her pictures.

IdaGlossop · 13/09/2026 17:32

But but Meghan is too scared to leave the house and thinks she might have to go back to Montesh*tshow because she misses her mum and she wasn't fêted when she set foot on our moist and humid soil....and yet here's a warm and fuzzy family film.....so now I am confused again, which is the whole point...manipulate, obfuscate...

Several of us all saying the same thing about their location!

Are those the same wellies she wore when she was parading up and down wherever it was when she first came here?

My thoughts exactly regarding the wellies.

Ah...interesting @Gonners
I found it difficult to hear his voice clearly or properly and didn't spend much time on it, but what I did hear didn't sound particularly "British".
However it is entirely possible, in my experience, that having spent more time with H than L has, that A has learned to accent mirror H's intonation and accent, especially if he has had a lot of exposure to it, perhaps as a shy child or one not used to interacting with others.

SanguineAutumnalCrow · 13/09/2026 17:39

bluegreygreen · 13/09/2026 13:30

For clarity, the King can remove the style of HRH and the title of Prince by Letters Patent, as he has done for AMW.

Remove of the title of Duke would take an Act of Parliament, for historical reasons.
This has currently been managed for AMW by removing his name from the Roll of the Peerage, which means that the title is not officially used, but it still remains.
There was some move towards introducing an act which would have removed Mandelson's title, and presumably would also have made removal of AMW's Dukedom easier, but that seems to have stalled.

Did you ever get a chance to read this article, @bluegreygreen. So much has happened these past couple of years that I can't remember.

It's by Master Graham Zellick, who is 'a Senior Master of the Bench and former Reader, is emeritus professor of public law and former Principal of Queen Mary & Westfield College, sometime Vice-Chancellor of the University of London, a former editor of Public Law, and was Chairman of the Criminal Cases Review Commission, President of the Valuation Tribunal for England and a member of the Investigatory Powers Tribunal. He is an Honorary Fellow of Gonville & Caius College, Cambridge and of the Society for Advanced Legal Studies'.

So, not just your average legal bod.

Yes, Fondmemories; it's a fair point which didn't immediately occur to me, but I've since picked up on that from the various posts

Not sure what the union flag and hearts are about though. Harry might think the scenes worthy of a heart but I'd be surprised if Meghan does

wordler · 13/09/2026 17:42

I don’t mind the video - although odd music choice.

Visually it’s a DIY version of the Wales kids birthday videos.

Going to be interesting to see where she goes with the Instagram images from
now on.

In honour of their new found love for the U.K. and because Harry desperately wants this scrubbed from the internet , I give you …….the freedom flight pictures! 😁
