If he were a working Royal then he would have to accept being told which charities to visit and what to say and he would never do that.

A reminder of how his presence had zero impact on fellow attendees of the Time 100 Sports awards in July in NYC. He is treated as a nobody with people averting their gaze and no interest from the press.

Was the baby death one at BP - there was one I remember.

IIRC It was some sort of of reception at BP when they were working royals - indoors (might have been veterans could have been disability groups, might have been something else). Meghan is introduced to an older woman in a wheelchair and doesn't look too happy about it - especially as Harry drifts on to speak to someone else. Meghan flashes her usual insincere smile, and the woman starts to speak (I think about her daughter) but Meghan just walks off when the woman was mid-sentence, attaches herself to Harry and starts the rubbing/tapping his back thing that seems to mean she is bored and wants him to hurry up so they can get out of there.

It struck me at the time
-Meghan was really rude to people that she didn't consider worthy of her time
-she had poor acting skills that she couldn't manage to feign interest for an hour or so
-she couldn't bear Harry speaking to people without her
-she wanted to get out ASAP

And it seems to be the way they have arranged their "charity work" since they left
-quick meet and greets but no real conversations - it was clear in Australia that Meghan stepped in, looked for the camera and then on to the next person
-lots of "in conversations" where they are asked pre-arranged questions but nothing unscripted - little audience participation
-lectures rather than dialogue
-only their pre-approved photographers and journalists - edited photos
-awards ceremonies but with them getting awards rather than giving them

... everything is stage managed and choreographed!

I totally agree about everything being stage-managed. I saw a photo of her earlier this week, with her chickens. I couldn't work out what was odd, but then realised that she isn't looking at the camera. All of her photos are special / private / everyday photos in the 'reportage style' that was popular a while back. All obs done for the camera... How dull.

These comments from that article are out and out blackmail! And frankly ignoring a direct statement from the king or queen now matter your relationship with them is treason! , Harry is very lucky he lives in the time period he does! , this behaviour would have a significantly harsher punishment than having his titles removed!

🤨 so basically, in the huff because they aren't getting taxpayer funded security?

Yes, both of them should be on a barge sailing on the Thames towards the Bloody Tower to await execution. Can you imagine!

They are very unwise to push this matter. If recent royal history shows us nothing else is that you can't win against the palace. The institution has the luxury of time, wild cards do not. The palace may find it complicated to remove titles, but they will get all the government support they need if Harry starts mouthing off his student politics grasp of complex events (I feel I'm being unkind to students here).

It isn't blackmail, blackmail requires a person to have leverage. This is a tantrum from a toddler without power or a plan.

Pretty much! , because he’s not getting taxpayer funding or security, he’s no longer going to abide by the conditions of the sandrinham summit and further more is going to go ahead and involve himself is political interference with foreign countries aswell!

I think she wants to centre As Ever in the Cotswolds and give it that English country garden look and feel. Mind you she could be in competition with Diddly Squat farm shop and her arch nemesis Jezzer.

What's the history between Megan and J Clarkson?? Funny, but when the Cotswolds was mooted, I wondered how she'd get on with him.

Clarkson wrote an extremely unpleasant column wishing that Meghan would be parade through the streets like Cersei on Game of Thrones. It was disgusting and inappropriate even by his standards

We know that! But Harry’s inflated ego doesn’t and his intentions are clear! , no doubt if it’s pushed back on or called out he will backtrack or blame the press or others.

Yes, he does appear to believe he has some kind of political status which is delusional even for him.

Well he’s the kings son , prince of England, Diana’s heir, public figure, Mrsleon ( all things he has claimed himself) but let’s not forget the time he stated that if anything happened to him the U.K. public would be devastated and the country would not recover!
his self important ego has actually now surpassed that of his disgraced uncle, who may well have thought these things but at least had the intelligence not to say it out loud .

I'd have expected nothing else, jeff, but that won't work for him either

Politics is a filthier game than most, and at least in theory its practitioners can be held accountable for their deeds - or at a minimum challenged about them

As we've seen Harry's likely to appreciate neither, and may well regard even the suggestions with princely distaste

When you have less self awareness than AMW you really are at the bottom of the barrel!

canklesmctacotits · 12/09/2026 18:53

In a way, I can follow their reasoning: we’re not costing the public anything and we’re financially self-sufficient. We therefore don’t owe you anything and you have no hold over us. We are free to do whatever we want. You do owe us security though because I’m never going to stop being the monarch’s son and brother and this is something I can’t do anything about. But beyond that, we’re free to forge our own path, do our own thing - any access we give you to our calendar so dates don’t clash is a concession on our part and you should be grateful because we really don’t have to do this.

I get that thinking. It’s like any grown child leaving toxic parents and going their own way.

Obviously, though, given they are throwing potshots at the toxic family and the media and the judiciary and the public and doing so publicly, no doubt because they feel nobody is going along with their version of freedom (and they really don’t have anyone powerful backing them in this), this is going to result in two things. This isn’t David and Goliath - it’s a snake taking on a lion thinking it will win. It won’t. It will lose. Secondly, although this will happen first chronologically I think, they will lose their titles/status and will force the King’s hand in distancing himself, his family, the institution and HM’s govt and the military from them.

I’ve just read a report that the Diana documentary is to be narrated by Meghan, who feels she’s best placed to do so because she knows what Diana went through as she too has suffered (more monetization, you ask? A leopard doesn’t change its spots, I say). If that happens, that will be the end of any relationship between family members and H&M. Not a constitutional matter so not the thing to trigger removal of titles/styles/etc (that’ll be Harry publicly criticizing HM govt policy on this or that). But a nasty, cruel theft from Diana’s living relatives other than Harry.

Well you would think that after flapping his ignorant gums the last few times and getting slapped down by ..trump …Putin …Israel and Palestine he would have thought better of it! But apparently this fool is so blinded by greed , egotistical entitlement and arrogance, that he’s just going to carry on .

That was absolutely shocking behaviour. She completely turned her back the woman, who was telling a harrowing story of being forced into child marriage, infected with HIV as a result and losing her child. Meghan was practically rolling her eyes clearly thinking 'would this woman ever shut up I'm trying to look like a nice person who plays with children here'. Ive never seen rudeness like it

How do her fans manage to miss this?

This incident is just one among many which blatantly show Meghan behaving shockingly. Her shallow self-obsession comes over so strongly.

He's one to talk. At least Meghan never punched a staff member. Why was he ever popular? I think having no interest in cars possibly made me immune to whatever it is that ever made him likeable.
