Perhaps its deliberately being left to William so that King Charles doesn’t have to be the one to do it to his son. Because, despite everything that has happened, I suspect he probably still loves him very much.

Of course he does. Im sure on a personal level, the whole family misses him and is probably very worried about him being so isolated. Its telling that the 'sussex squad' make out that entire family hates them now and is out to ruin them because of a petty vendetta. Only one person in this equation actually behaves in such a cold hearted, mercenary fashion and its not the RF.

Me too, Starry. I actually thought KS was one of the better interviewers, she’s very well informed and her interviewees all seem to love her. She gives them time to answer and doesn’t talk over them.

For Andrew Lownie fans he’s done his own interview with Tom Sykes and appeared on The Royalist as a guest.

He may still love him..but I’d query the “very much”!

I say this from personal experience of family members who’ve behaved horribly. You don’t stop loving them in an instinctive way but that’s all…the joy, affection, warmth, trust…all those things tend to go and it’s very painful. All you’re left with is the “blood’s thicker than water” trope, and that’s pretty basic.

Totally agree. I've recently seen a different side to my adult son (a change in career seems to have allowed/encouraged this to happen) and, though I still love him, I've definitely taken a step back from him and, which hurts me more, from his family who I now see in the same way. We have become polite acquaintances 😥. I think KC may be in the same headspace - he still loves Harry but has had to step back. Very sad.

I'm sorry to hear that, however, sometimes there's nothing you can do. You have to think of your own sanity and wellbeing 💐.
I think about William and everything he's been through, imagining that his own brother would be of help and comfort in life, yet here he is, betraying him for money.

On the subject of a tell all book, I think MM probably has a lot of juice on the RF courtesy of her wildly indiscreet husband, all of which will be embellished beyond recognition.

But that’s no reason not to neutralise them with everything the King and Parliament have at their disposal.

As AL has said, the Duke and Duchess of Windsor had no offspring so it was easier to curtail them. A and L will be a future problem if their status isn’t properly and publicly resolved.

I’ve been supportive of the Grey Rock treatment but it won’t work in isolation.
The RF website needs sorting out, it’s ridiculous that with all the resources they have at their disposal, BP can’t keep its basic public information up to date. Any teenager with a mildly techie bent could probably sort it out.

Titles need to be removed, they’re redundant while H and MM are not working royals and send the message that the door remains open. If this is wrong, it needs saying. (If it’s right, that’s a whole different issue).

If the Dukedom can’t be removed except by an Act of Parliament (and I’d argue there’s a good case for one), it must surely be capable of modification. Edinburgh was converted to a non hereditary peerage so that it couldn’t be passed down beyond the direct holder.

The time for the long game has passed. Harry is a disrupter and is pushing every button he can for a reaction. I think the RF have to be careful not to be provoked into hasty action but the situation needs addressing with more dynamism than we’re currently seeing.

I’m not particularly a fan of Andrew lownie and that isn’t going to change regardless of who he’s now reporting on, I will only say this ….the supporters who have been vocal about his worth ( nobody here obviously) , how will they feel if his new target is now ham?

@Lifestooshort71 so sorry to hear that. I’ve had rocky times with one of mine and could have lost them a couple of times. I know how painful that is. There is hope though, keep the faith, things can get better.

I’m not sure about AL, he did some excellent work uncovering some of the worst stuff about AMW but I found other claims in his Entitled book difficult to believe. He seems to have a very personal dislike of the York family.

I agree with you and Jeff on Lownie. I know he’s revealed things which needed to be exposed but there’s just something slightly unsavoury about his motivation. There were a few little hints regarding AMW which indicated a personal vendetta.

I despise Andrew - no issue with his exposure - but it doesn’t make Lownie an entirely admirable character in my eyes.

This is how I feel, in fact he said as much about AMW and targeting him on the rugby field.
I applaud people who investigate and present evidence against public figures, though, and it does need to happen to HaM. They've not faced that up to this point.

On the subject of a possible meg-book it seems that the recent massive ramping up of these blind gossips will further erode what credibility she has left.

An ever growing list of things saying she was very much an actress in the Prince Philip mode, even if totally malicious and without foundation must be damaging to her reputation.

Also agree. I mentioned some time ago my specific issues with Lownie, and the reason I didn't buy his book. I did read his early articles and watch several early interviews with him.

It was also noticeable, while people talk about how well sourced he is, in interviews or articles he has a habit of slipping in a salacious detail and then saying 'but that hasn't been confirmed'. You are still left knowing the detail.

I do think he had a specific issue with AMW, so don't know if he will be the same for the Sussexes. I watched him early on but stopped because of his manner and for the reason above

Blind gossips are simply that - gossip. They do not have to have any basis in fact. That is one of the reasons I originally objected to them being posted.

CDAN/Enty Lawyer was sued in 2023 and had to publish a retraction. It eventually led to him losing his anonymity, due to details in the court filings.
I don't know if there have been any other cases against him.

Yes , I made a thread ( 2 I think) to follow his book and discuss the information about Andrew and honestly? It left me with a bad taste in my mouth, salacious details that were not relevant ( but expressed with uncontainable glee ) , stories about him and his friends basically bullying Andrew at rugby matches and most off putting! , the unpardonable revelation of Andrew being sa abused as a child! , that was disgraceful, not his secret to reveal and I’m sorry to say had Andrew been a woman a lot of people would have condemned him for revealing it!
for me it took away from the very real evidence of Andrews criminal behaviour, which is primarily what I wanted to know about .
