That's so nice 🙂.
Kudos to him for getting involved with Suicide Prevention. It's a fantastic cause.

William does a lot of work for suicide prevention charities - he's been doing it for well over a decade since the "Heads Together" days

Last year he made a very emotional video with the widow of a man who committed suicide after their child died
s

Through the Duchy of Cornwall he has funded rural mental health support projects

There is also the Insta reel where William was walking through the streets of South London with a rep from a Charity he was visiting when a woman runs up the grass bank shouting "I see a prince" and wanting a hug and a selfie.
What is noticeable about this clip is how calm his security response is.

It may have been the same occasion, but in similar circumstances William was walking along the street and ended up surrounded by people wanting to greet him. Again his security were going with the flow, while obviously being watchful.

Thank you, Lunde. It's very personal to me for various reasons, and it's such valuable work.

That bit was weird. He said he'd only seen them once in the back of a car then claimed they were spending loads of time with Oprah, when later the article said she spends lots of time in Hawaii. It was a bit "throw it against the wall and see what sticks" rather than convincing.

I think this is Montecito code for HAM
-have been seen at Oprah's
-refuse to socialize with the other neighbours who aren't useful to them

What is noticeable about this clip is how calm his security response is. (You can compare this clip with leaving Harry at Chatham house on July 7th where his team of big burly bodyguards are quite aggressive towards the small crown of journalists and IG volunteers while Harry takes around 5 steps from door to car). Here the security response by the 2 RPOs is quiet, calm and watchful. They take up positions, prepared to intervene, but there is no pushing and shoving,

Delightful … thank you for sharing @Lunde 😊

Armed guards at the kids school. Absolutely ludicrous

Over here yes, in the US, sadly not uncommon even in schools that don't have the children of the famous.

It's so short sighted of them, if true. How much better to have a reputation of being friendly to everyone.

There have been quite a lot of school shootings so this isn’t surprising,

There is the one when he surprised the women who were pulling a model horse from Wales to London for a suicide prevention charity in memory of her daughter.

William marrying Catherine was the best decision he ever made . He has been immersed into a close knit , discreet family and it shows .

I think a lot of the issues Harry stem from this, I imagine he’s very jealous.

I remember reading after The Flounce that the Middletons had invited Meghan to tea or something and she declined as she thought they were boring .

It doesn't surprise me, if it's true. Some people are just obnoxious and arrogant and don't see that it makes them look like fools. They need friends and allies, not more people who avoid them.

M is possibly the most boring, tedious speaker I've heard, so that's rather hypocritical. Or if she's trying to be fun it's juvenile and lame.

Well, they say only boring people get bored, so it all rings true.

Thank you @Lunde for posting this very important and touching video.
Prince William genuinely connects with people, whether in it be in happiness or deep sadness.
You can feel the empathy he radiates; it brought tears to my eyes, and has substantially added to my admiration of Prince William.

That was heart rending. He started to cry.
I respected him so much for that.

There's been various articles printed in connection with 9/11 the past few days. I was reading about the people of Gander Newfoundland where many planes were forced to land. There's one lady there who is famous called Beulah Cooper. " I don't shake hands. I'm a hugger" was her line . What ? Meghan surely wouldn't have pinched that would she? 😬

I am catching up with this thread, several pages to go.

If you don’t know the uplifting story of Gander and the Newfoundlanders is told in the musical Come From Away.

I actually saw the musical again last night on 09/11 it was incredibly moving to be reminded of the real stories.

Sorry for the derail.

They could probably have offered some very useful advice about integrating with the RF.

I'm surprised M's manners are so poor. She went to a private Catholic girls' school - you'd think manners would be so deeply ingrained they'd be automatic.

I agree she is so fake and over the top. Full of crackpot ideas like writing on bananas. She's a liability imho. I think King Charles will need to do a bit more reining in of the silly pair.

Shared from X :- Prince Harry and Meghan Markle no longer feel they’re beholden to uphold the values of Queen Elizabeth, which were beautifully summarised by Lord Nolan in 1995; essentially the rules of public life in Britain. However, the Sussexes are now claiming that despite their thirst to be public figures, they will refuse to uphold these principles, which are as follows:

  1. Selflessness
Holders of public office should act solely in terms of the public interest.
  2. Integrity
Holders of public office must avoid placing themselves under any obligation to people or organisations that might try inappropriately to influence them in their work. They should not act or take decisions in order to gain financial or other material benefits for themselves, their family, or their friends. They must declare and resolve any interests and relationships.
  3. Objectivity
Holders of public office must act and take decisions impartially, fairly and on merit, using the best evidence and without discrimination or bias.
  4. Accountability
Holders of public office are accountable to the public for their decisions and actions and must submit themselves to the scrutiny necessary to ensure this.
  5. Openness
Holders of public office should act and take decisions in an open and transparent manner. Information should not be withheld from the public unless there are clear and lawful reasons for so doing.
  6. Honesty
Holders of public office should be truthful.
  7. Leadership
Holders of public office should exhibit these principles in their own behaviour and treat others with respect. They should actively promote and robustly support the principles and challenge poor behaviour wherever it occurs.

I @TheRealHousewifefor one haven't seen these before. Apologies if they are common knowledge.

@Lunde , Thank you for posting that video again. I may be wrong but I do not believe W being visibly touched by that woman's story was faked ( not like the I can cry out of my left eye )

In the interests of balance - may I just say that whilst H&M may have lied about the RF , used them for their own purposes , not cared what their OW interview , docuseries , Spare did to the RF implied the UK was very very racist indeed , as long as it lined their own pockets - W is a Tupperware thief. Come on , let's be fair here, two sides to every story 😂

He most certainly is not @BasiliskStare !

Tupperware was washed and returned as all good Middleton adjacent people have been taught.

To be fair it was probably Catherine’s suggestion.

I remember reading after The Flounce that the Middletons had invited Meghan to tea or something and she declined as she thought they were boring .

Allegedly, she thought the garden party was boring as well which is supposed to be why they left early. It wouldn’t surprise me. She has no real interest in finding out about anything or anybody. Another example is when that poor lady was telling her about the death of her baby and she just turned away. She has no curiosity hence she is bored and if it isn’t all about her, she doesn’t want to know. I would say Harry is similar

BasiliskStare · 12/09/2026 15:34

@wordler - Thank you . I stand humbled and corrected. He is a fine upstanding man in all respects. 😂

Thanks to those who linked the “I love you bro” clip, really made me smile!

These threads move so fast, so I won’t be posting, will just enjoy reading as and when I can. I think I’m still in “my brain can still not fathom out what the heck they’re doing back here” mode.

Over the last few years, any time I read or see something that has originated from them, I always think god, I didn’t think they could get any worse! And then it always makes me think of a cartoon/mock photo that was posted on one of the threads I was on when Spare was released. It depicted Harry on the phone, speaking to hotel reception, and was along the lines of:

Harry: I’d like a wake-up call please
Reception: certainly Sir, everyone thinks you’re a cunt

Apologies for the language, but that pops in my mind every time I see their next screw-up.
