One (2023?) that involved both brothers had Harry on screen after William left the building. Following that they have alternated events.

I have seen Charlotte Griffiths discuss this twice; she had more information on the second occasion. Each time she was very clear what she knew and what was speculation.

They’ve even confirmed they never told the school:

‘Sources close to the Sussexes insisted that they had not informed the school for security reasons and added that many celeb families with children at the school used bodyguards on the school run.’

So it’s safe enough for the kids to attend the school, but not safe enough to tell the school that the kids won’t be attending. Make it make sense?

Which is ironic because, allegedly, he said, "she'll let you do whatever you want!"

What are the school age requirements anyway? It varies even in the UK. I believe in Scotland the kids start a year later than England. Of course you are free to home school your kids but not sure how that works or if it's only hippies that do that

I don't think a charity for vulnerable homeless (mostly) men needs a dim, weed-smoking, whinging brat working for them. There are many, MANY other people who would be far better qualified for the role.
Why do people think charities should have Harry foisted on them? He has zero skills, zero understanding and zero charm.

In my corner of the Cotswolds there was brief excitement when DP followed a chap in a top of the range brand new Audi through Tetbury with the number plate HRH 5. He says it was a finance bro type dude not Hazza though he did his best to get a decent look for us all!

It’s the children I feel so sorry for. Uprooted without any preparation (allegedly) and then according to the latest DM article they’re going back to California for October half term - they’re not going to know whether they are coming or going or where to settle, and then to come back to school with jet lag, it’s setting them up to fail, surely? Mine were always shattered in October half term when small, they last thing they needed was to get on a plane. And what about a chance for play dates and days out locally to settle in? (Although I fear lots of folk wouldn’t have them over for a play date for fear of being misquoted and Markled?)

It’s a very sorry state of affairs and I can’t see it ending well.

Harry’s September ‘schedule’ reminds me a bit of the time when finally all my kids were in school and I was not working, people would ask me what I did all day,‘er, I went to the post office, oh, and the garden center, took the dog for a walk’, as I struggled to come up with anything that sounded like I might be busy !

The Sun article also tells us randomly:

• they pissed off a koi carp business who worked in their garden, so they dropped meg n Harry as clients. Also seemingly it costs 5k a month for maintenance of these fish!
• they pissed off the local bar as they didn’t want to be on any waiting list

Being honest, and having spent an inordinate amount of time around men with substance abuse issues, I think Harry would be very kind.

I actually think he’d benefit from a gig like that. But it would have to be a solo one.

He has his issues but I do think when it comes to people who are struggling he’s sincere. It’s when he’s focusing on himself that he gets into trouble.

And he’s an Eton grad. As it says on the Eton thread, I think they can be polite, kind, welcoming. I don’t know the guy, but suspect if you met him he’d come across quite well. I think he could even roll up his sleeves and help with things.

Age 5 in England is compulsory school age, if home ed you can officially deregister if you want, but as yet there's no official home ed list as such, you just have to get able to evidence that you're providing a full time education.

Checks on this varies. There's more home elders than there used to be post pandemic which then creates a separate issue of children missing in the system but anywaaaay.

I feel the same. I like the big thread (and no doubt keeping all our collective nonsense in one place is easier to moderate) but it’s hard to follow!

I appreciate that -but MM has got two titled children who will hold American citizenship that she has to bargain with.

It's as though they believe that referencing "security," and in particular "the security of our children," is an all-purpose Get Out Of Jail Free card to be played in all situations. Even when it has absolutely no logical basis or connection with the scenario whatsoever.

This weirdly reminds me of my SIL. She would make endless terrible and selfish decisions, and regularly demand that her family bail her out lavishly. As soon as they did, she would have another blazing row with them and cut them off again. This pattern repeated for many years. My SIL's Get Out Of Jail Free card was her son: anything which SIL wanted was dressed up as "for DNephew" in some tenuous way. Poor DNephew was just a pawn to be deployed to manipulate other people.

I can honestly see some parallels with a lot of the behaviour here.
