The best Meghan could do is use this marriage to manoeuvre her way into a better one.

What better marriage could there be? Leaving aside H and his dubious qualities, she had wealth, influence, publicity, the potential to develop her (alleged) humanitarian interests on a global stage....

Where would she look for a new husband? And what potential new husband would want to take on all the baggage that would come with her?

On a purely personal level I'd have thought any woman would prefer a husband with more intelligence and integrity, but even if Meghan knew what integrity is I doubt anyone with it would consider her an option

KCitsweyourHammiewevecomehomenow · 11/09/2026 15:28

I expect this list will die a quick death like Meghan’s 40:40 etc

No new charity with an ounce of sense will want to appear on it. No-one will want to appear at one of these events with him

I think financially they are ok. Not billionaires but enough until inheritance kicks in. I definitely think Pa is bank rolling them too

Someone is bankrolling them but I don't think it's KC.

And how HAM has played the blinder!

Now that Harry's announced his 'September Schedule', it's all clear to me: He's planning to carry on like a 'working royal' until KC and PW give in and take him back in an effort to control him.
PH (and MM is she's in tow) going to all these events will make them/him a de facto working royal and will make RF's insistence that PH is NOT a working royal look ridiculous because, in fact, he will be working and doing exactly the same 'work' as the 'working royals'.

Not sure how you have drawn that conclusion, they have behaved exactly as the Palace expected hence the statement release, the Palace knew they were going to try and be pretend royals, the only ones who look ridiculous are Harry and Meghan.

AlexandraCarrington · 11/09/2026 15:33

As long as they behave, I expect. And also paying directly for things such as their house or school fees rather than giving them a wodge of cash to spend as they please, which could end up being spent on dodgy charities or faux-royal tours.

No, it's based on an interview she gave with The Cut magazine.
She's spoken about nannies previously.

Staff in the UK, since they allegedly arrived last month?
I'm sure they hired plenty of labour in the US, but discrete, skilled domestic staff in the UK know their value. Norland nannies can choose who they work for, ditto butlers and housekeepers.
We will (probably) never know if they have managed to find top quality domestic staff, but i doubt there's been an orderly queue forming at the door.
Their reputation is appalling.

Who?

It was reported that Ian Wace was assisting them financially with their move to the Uk.

jeffgoldblum · 11/09/2026 15:35

Am I correct in assuming that this means Harry sent his itinerary to the “royal rota “ ? , the very journalists he insulted and mocked and tried to spin into some nefarious royal controlled conspiracy?
that “royal rota” ? , the same one he vowed he would not invite or brief about any of his activities?

I just don’t understand how two people (not just one) can be so deluded and dense.

Yes I’m sure they egg each other on and actually are both bad for each other, but you really would think at their ages they would possess a modicum of sense and wisdom between them.

This move back was never going to work without acceptance of the huge betrayal and hurt they’ve caused. Even then with mass apologies it’s a tall ask to want people to move on from all that’s been said and written and forge a future way forward. They still haven’t learnt a thing.

Even the most savvy PR professionals in the world would have trouble now positioning them in a good light. They’re just toxic and they wouldn’t listen and follow advice anyway. The definition of stupidity is doing the same thing again and again and expecting a different result.

I completely agree.

For me, one of the most striking images from the Queen's Platinum Jublilee was taken at the thanksgiving service at St Paul's Cathedral. Harry and Meghan had been seated immediately in front of the Queen's most senior protection officer, Major Johnny Thompson, who was clearly studying the interactions between them, even leaning forwards at one point. Given the Queen personally arranged the seating plan, this seating arrangement was not by accident.

The message was crystal clear: we do not trust you. Given they're both incredibly vain, I imagine they studied all of the pics and videos of themselves from the jubilee, but neither appear to have grasped this very powerful visual message.

They appear to be living in their own little la-la world where they feel free to hurl insults and lies one minute but are affronted and no doubt 'surprised' when they're not welcomed back with open arms the next.

Was that a "sources say" "report"?

Yes Jeff, didn’t they say they were only going to use up and coming journalists of their choice as well when they flounced?

On, oh I don't know, thread number 32 or 33, a pp whose name I've forgotten put forward a fascinating hypothesis. With H & M, she said that one could have reasonably expected each to enter the marriage with certain pockets of knowledge - one in the area of show business/entertainment, and the other in the area of the BRF. Instead of informing each other, as would normally happen in a couple, they "infected each other with their ignorance".

I really liked that theory.

I apologise if the pp recognises herself and I did her an injustice in this summing up.

They're both unpleasant people with lots of insecurities but they're different, and unfortunately the combination of their personalities was deadly.

Meghan seems to have researched Harry and effectively stalked him, and he was just ripe for the picking, having lost 2 gfs who shied away from royal life.

She then mined his tiny brain for information about all his resentments, insecurities, grudges etc and knew exactly how to press all the buttons. She particularly pressed the 'I lost my wonderful mother, Diana' button in all kinds of creepy ways. Harry was just too stupid to see what was going on. He ignored a whole beachful of red flags.

I'm sure she had Katherine in her sights even before she came to the UK, but one little comment from Harry such as 'You'll love her - she's been like a sister to me!' would have sealer K's fate. And the fact that Meghan then realised she was expected to kow tow to Katherine - well, that was it. Light the blue touch paper and scarper!

They've been a disastrous combo, especially for Harry. What he needed was a sensible, resilient, outgoing woman who (metaphorically) kicked him in the backside, told him to grow up and stop moaning about the highly privileged hand fate had dealt him.

How does things like this even come up in a conversation..!? Oi Ian, we want to move back to the UK, you wouldn’t mind paying for it, would you? I’ll text you my details.

How do they get other people to pay for them? And what’s in it for them!?

People genuinely worried about their security do not announce where they are going to be. But Harry is probably now emailing the Home Secretary and RAVEC that his risk has increased because his future whereabouts are known. I hope someone from the Met / local police / MI5 is giving him a lecture on how to not increase his own risk. It clearly needs spelling out to him.

What about a security detail named HAVOC

We get some retired army sarg who's gotten bored of the allotment and two RAF cadets (or scouts, whatevers at hand, any uniform will do) who could do with work experience and some of those Bluetooth headsets that celeb bodyguards have.

Sell it to Hazza as special security just for HaM and the Hamlets, and job done. They feel "safe" (I.e. like they've won) so they stop moaning* and the RF/actual security forces don't have the mither of trying to keep pandering to missives from the Markles.

*Moaning about this, at least.

I am side-eyeing KC3 the enabler.

How is any of this a surprise to KC3 and his team of advisors? The absurd mollycoddling of a 42 year old man needs to end and consequences need to be delivered.

KC3 needs to remove HaM from the website, relieve them of the HRH and Prince titles, have Andy relieve H of his Duke titles (twofer with AMW) and demand public apologies to the UK government, veterans, judiciary, palace staff, family and general public, plus a one year period of complete silence on family from the date of their last apology to ever again be in his presence via phone or in person.

HaM can be as reckless as they wish as Mr. and Mrs. Mountbatten-Windsor. And they can throw the biggest temper tantrum they wish...it will be over in half a news cycle as people don't really care...they're in it for the popcorn.

One thing that I disagree with Jan Moir on in her article (linked upthread) is where she starts a paragraph with 'Prince Harry means well ... [but]'.

Harry does NOT mean well. At this point, he knows exactly what he is doing and what he is working to destabilise. He is in the game to cause trouble for the monarchy which, like it or not, gives the UK and the Commonwealth Realms their Head of State and HoS's official representatives. Harry also seems to get a kick out of openly insulting and looking down on the UK population.

Some of us foresaw this in 2020. And so, here we are. The world is unstable enough without our HoS being nipped away at by this stupid little pissant terrier Dook with his love for foreign despots. Meghan's long gone and the royal family has frozen him out, and Burnham - a pragmatist at heart - is in no mood for it all.

(In fact I hope there's a reckoning and a dressing down for a couple of Labour MPs and x2 Labour peers from Andy Burnham one of these days.)

I absolutely agree that Harry doesn’t mean well, but I think you are giving him too much credit to say that he knows exactly what he is doing. He acts
like he does because he isn’t getting his way, not because he has some overarching idea of attacking the monarchy. He’s not that bright. He just thinks he is “getting one over” on everyone. I think his sneering about the UK is potentially driven by his wife originally wanting to leave here and go
back to the States. Obviously they look a bit silly now they have come back here for whatever mysterious reason. But although they are very thin skinned when it comes to receiving criticism, they are very thick skinned when it comes to their own hypocrisy

Just looked him up because I hadn't heard of him. Why would be want to assist them? He seems to be fairly low profile with a reputation to maintain. Why would he want to get dragged into the drama?

He has his own philanthropic endeavours; I hope he doesn't let H&M get their sticky paws all over them.

Definitely.

I think that was the occasion when it was convincingly rumoured that they were wearing wires. Meghan has a big collar and keeps on and on adjusting it - or something just underneath it. You can also see the outline of a wire running down her white coat-dress.

The other crazy thing about that occasions was that she had asked Dior to copy one of Wallis Simpson's outfits. To wear to a royal occasion! There are only 2 possible interpretations of that: either she is monumentally ignorant of history and pretty stupid or she was deliberately sticking up 2 fingers to QE and the RF.

And I dread to think what it cost...and whether Charles had to pay for it!

I really hope that that was a sartorial blunder in ignorance but I can't help but think choosing to dupe the wardrobe of an American divorcée* who blew up the monarchy (no gun powder required) would be a deliberate act of treason by couture.

*I am divorced, and not averse to Americans but it was the scandal of the age back then.

H is another AMW scrounging off all and sundry, he doesn't care what they want in return as long as it doesn't cost him. AMW was happy to be forwarding sensitive emails to Epstein without even reading them. He wasn't concerned about insider trading he was doing a favour for his biggest financial sponsor/procurer of all sorts. H also has zero morals and I can't help wondering why he is so keen to have free access to the security services info, he is too thick to understand it himself. Let's face it he has announced to the world how little security his family have when not working! Imagine the shit he says when half cut.

I think, unfortunately for Britain, any sensible, resilient woman would tire of the half blood spare prince of moanington very quickly. Even if it meant reluctantly handing back the second-best tiara.
