Is there any more to be said. I expect there probably is. So I started a new thread. Be interesting to see what their next move is. It's like a game of chess A we getting clarification. I want to know if they'll be doing walkabouts, hospital visits, and so on. Being greeted by dignitaries at home and overseas like they were on their visit to NY and Australia.

Indeed. Imagine not having any kind of opinion on Keir Starmer, Andy Burnham, Netanyahu, Elon Musk...or many other people who are in the public eye. How limiting.

All those things are true. What is also true is that Harry is hugely privileged. His privilege could have allowed him to live quietly, be a present father and adoring husband, play polo, and fund charities whose work has value for him. A difficult beginning does not have to deny you a worthwhile adulthood.

Also, H&M have shared a good deal about their lives, their ambitions and their views on the RF.
Plus various private details which really ought to have stayed private.

My (adopted) DDs experienced domestic violence, hunger, physical abuse and abandonment. They have grown into thoughtful, caring, responsible young women.

Yes, with on- going mental health vulnerabilities, so they access specialist support when they need it and it is available (not always available)

They are compassionate and understanding towards their birth parents, while also acknowledging their failings as parents.

They don't have trust funds. They have been failed at times by state schools, but i couldn't afford private.

Harry's upbringing had failings, but hundreds (thousands?) if children every year have worse, without corresponding advantages. Especially at his age, where you would hope a bit of maturity would have provided some context.

So many neglected and abused children have little chance in life; no top tier education, exotic holidays, expensive counselling on speed dial, no escape from everyday work and chores to get through.
I had the privilege of meeting Ziggy Shipper. He had been a young child in Auschwitz, but survived and made a new life in England, married and had a family.
He had no bitterness, but felt that he was lucky to marry and have children, get a good job and have a safe life.
I often think about Harry and his life, and how he could have done so much, and stepped away from bitterness, petulance and blame.

It must be a very narrow and cloistered life.

Thank you for all the kind support. I am privileged to be their mum, and am very proud of them. My point is that it is possible to have ACEs (adverse childhood experiences) and still become decent human beings. Even without the top quality support Harry had access to.

At some point we all need to take responsibility for our actions, and the consequences of our actions.

Absolutely. You helped these girls to get to a place beyond their troubled start, so that it didn't define them. They have become decent young women, not limited by their ACEs but making something positive of their lives.

Anyway, that's why I don't buy the 'poor Harry' narrative. Yes, he's had some crap to deal with. By his own reports his parents were loving and did their best, whatever their mistakes and failings. He has had every access to professional support for his mental health.

He is in his 40s. Not his teens/twenties when we can all be a bit chaotic.

He is a parent, and his children need him to get himself together, rather than be Diana's orphaned vaby

Ye just like people judge by what they read by posters on here and form an opinion of that poster based on what they write, the tone, language etc. So if someone forms an opinion of a poster that they must hate two people because they spend day after day posting about them and saying how angry it make them then that's also perfectly okay to post that comment. After all if they people don't want to be judged for what they say then...😉
