Harry expects he will have the world at his feet again after the Invictus Games

i find the fact he thinks he’s some kind of dragon slaying hero and top parent too funny

The delusion is strong in this one

Ffs. He really thinks he is the only one from a dysfuntional family and has his own dc. And so wordy!

Millions of people have a tricky life. Millions. They get on with it. Have some bloody self respect, man.

He is so insulting. I dont think there is anyone left in his entire extended family he hasnt been publicly rude about.

You'd think he would keep off the subject of family, what with dodgy uncle andy, his ghastly wife and his entirely orchestrated enstrangement of his close family. Of course they dont want anything to do with him!

He hates them because he isnt the first born prince, bevause he has married a fucking nightmare and cant leave bevause they will all say' i told you so' and he will feel stupid and humiliated. Yes like others marrying in haste. And because he is just a massive bell end.

Well said. Its likely what most people are thinking. Especially the marry in haste part.

I assume the story the Sussexes are objecting to is this one:

https://archive.is/dVMEC

It says that Harry 'is expected' to attend the Diana Award, as the brothers have taken events in turn in recent years, and William attended an event earlier in the summer.

The Diana Award – which celebrates young people who make a difference to the lives of others – remains one of the last formal charitable links between Harry and his brother William.
The Prince of Wales made an appearance on behalf of the charity, which was set up in his mother's honour, earlier this summer.
'Harry is expected to take the lead at this event,' said the source. 'The brothers tend to take it in turns.

Fairly innocuous reporting, but the later speculation is that Meghan may attend, which may not go down well elsewhere, so I assume that it what has annoyed the Sussexes.

Edit to add archive link to Mirror story of Sussexes' objection:

So that was it? , that was the article that prompted a rather pissy clap back? , they really need to pick what they respond to with better care and attention, the clapbacks only serve to blacken their reputations further than if they had stayed silent.

At the risk of possibly insulting your relative, I have met many dogs over the years named after that exact same vengeance seeking Roman general. Most of them have been very sweet. It's a very popular US pet name. As is Prince, Princess, Duke, Duchess, Lady, King, and Queenie. I have met numerous cats and dogs with those names.

I'm currently reading a book with a cat called Princess Doughnut...

Sorry, very off topic and still running behind!

Well, I can't guarantee it - who knows what can set off a Sussex reaction? - but it's the most recent one that mentions the Diana award and it does say Harry is 'expected' to attend.

The article on 23/08 that mentions the Diana Award said it was 'not known' if the Sussexes would be there, although it had mentioned that the brothers took turns and William wasn't due to attend.

Meghan inadvertently provides free publicity to crap-looking new lifestyle brand of former BFF Mulroney

https://www.dailymail.com/news/royals/article-16096027/Meghan-Markles-ex-BFF-Jessica-Mulroney-lifestyle-brand.html

I guess it’s all about the perimenopause. Mine was horrible, I won’t deny it. But quite frankly what helped was a bucket of estrogen.

This just might be the very pinnacle of pretension.

”ready to author the next chapter”
”women in transition”

What a horrible use of language and frankly a load of old shit.

I can’t see you being wrong blue! , it was definitely the Mail who were apparently wrong and I’ve seen no other articles about it , but the one you found 🤷‍♀️

Such verbal diarrhoea. You can see how Meg and Jess were friends

Thedom · 02/09/2026 17:59

Meg the self acclaimed ‘young mom’ won’t like the idea her contemporaries and former best friend are placing her firmly in the middle aged category by association.

That's the basis for narcissistic friendships, isn't it? You both tacitly agree to believe each other's BS.

Until something goes wrong and then you don't!

More silly buggers from contradictory Sussex leaks.

https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/royals/harry-meghan-william-diana-award-37618376

I hope DM logged source and should out them every time it comes from hams WhatsApp group or leaked through a friend, as I can see this is going to be the new schtick.
DM should refuse to run stories from unnamed sources, put your name to it or bugger off.
Lmao that they hadn't been invited.

Interesting discussion! I agree with loads!

George Clooney isn't quite as private about his children, a pair of twins, as has been said on this thread., tho' more than Harry has been for sure. George announced their names in Paris Match when they were born and has spoken about them in the press quite a few times. He's said they go to school in Europe. The privacy laws are stricter there, but there have been photos in the media of the children. There was a photo of them in a Spanish gossip mag a month or so ago, faces blurred. But some photos in the past haven't had their faces blurred.

Just wanted to add that!

I'm always intrigued by the use of cashmere as a perfume note. Cashmere as a fabric smells of whatever it's been washed or stored in. Before that, in its raw form, it smells of goats.

Just M being pretentious as per. Cashmere is expensive so she likes that idea, even though as you say it doesn't really have a smell. The candles in honour of their own birthday and wedding dates is a new level of narcissism on the world stage. People don't even do that for their own children and selves, but she expects people to do it for them bc they are so incredibly special. Never mind the dates have no meaning anyway. It's stupid and embarrassing.

The point is that neither he nor Amal share social media images of them, share details of their lives, nor try to sell merchandise based on them.
Quite a chasm of difference.

Justdancevance · 02/09/2026 18:34

I think i read George making throwaway comments about the languages the kids speak at home as they spent a lot of time in Italy and France, that they share his love of practical jokes, and they’re smart like their mum. Nothing I’d class as oversharing ?

and I’ve never seen anything apart from blurred put faces in the distance

Yes, it certainly doesn't compromise their privacy!

Yes, it’s all very ‘HEADING INTO MENOPAUSE? Buy into my vision as you enter middle age and your kids start thinking you’re really uncool and pretending they don’t know you in front of their school friends’.

The arrogance is absolutely breathtaking. If it's true

Gosh that Diana Awards denial is a pretty snarky clap back to a pretty inoffensive article. Mind you , I imagine the DM isn't on H's Christmas card list. 😊It wouldn't surprise me if H is keeping a very beady eye on that paper.
"Facts matter. Accuracy matters" . Well yes but it seems to me this was some mild speculation about whether he (and possibly wife) would go to a gala dinner , and pretty hazy at that. I do like the way the person who posted that (the original not Jeff ) completely misinterpreted the spokesperson's words. 😃

George has shared some details of their life though but I get the point, I said it wasn't like Harry. Just thought it was interesting to share as their was convo about it, that's all. I think I'll go back to lurking now!

No problem! It's a discussion, you're making a point, which is fine!
I just think the Sussexes are making a mistake with this, really.

Starryfifty · 02/09/2026 19:09

Yes it’s arrogant. It’s a standard expectation from schools about safeguarding of children. Every single child is entitled to that protection. There’s no need for a special reminder for the children of famous people.

BasiliskStare · 02/09/2026 19:28

I think one good thing is that H&M aren't going to turn up to the Diana awards - dare we hope they may be going to keep their heads down somewhat ? Or am I naive beyond reckoning? 😊Maybe best not to answer that !

edit - missed a word out.
