Im thinking the clamouring over their titles being removed because they are not resident in the UK might have reached the king and his advisors might have suggested he consider it the King publicly moves fast when he makes a decision remember he went from doing nothing in particular about Andrew then suddenly Andrew is rehomed and lost his titles ive no doubt these things took time but publicly they were fast maybe the king moved in the shadows for a few months hence the "sudden" move

Tina Brown is hugely famous. They even name check her in Sex and the City as one of the people who run New York.

Yes, she made quite an impression on him : I found out when I read a review of his late novel The Pregnant Widow (not read yet) and the character of Gloria was apparently based on her.

What's changed? That's easy.
They were working Royals before.
This time they're private citizens. Can live where they want, work where they want.

They could have chosen this option in 2020 - to stay in the UK and make a living as private individuals.

But MM arrived in 2016 with her agent, accountant, lawyer and PR agent in tow. Her lifelong goal of Hollywood elite / A list never changed - PH / RF was just a stepping stone. She always had her eyes on the prize and was always going back.

Her team did a great set of deals for them initially NF, PRH, Spotify etc …. but it doesn’t appear that they were able to harness this good fortune by bringing any talent, creativity or work effort to the table - so no sustainability.

Squandered. Coffers run dry so need a brush with the royal glitter to boost the brand again. Except it won’t work. They are a source of ridicule and no one aspires to their toxic / pantomime brand. But I also suspect that MM knows this so is dropping her defective, debt-ridden, addict STBXH back into the care of his family and she is scooting back off to the sunset. Doubt PH has clocked this yet and it will be a slow fade.

They’ve said what’s changed is their “network” is more prepared this time. WTF does that mean? Their online network has been accused of all manner of uncivilized activity so it’s a little disconcerting.
