I think she fluffed her lines - she probably meant "meaningful" in place of one of those sentimentals - another word she uses a lot

The professional actress and outstanding communicator in total control there 😒

Starryfifty · 27/07/2026 15:17

The master chef is bad, bad, bad. Her "acting" , word salad crap and his "surprise video call" it's utterly cringe. How big was the payout for this?? It can't have been much. What is the point if it ?

AliasGracie · 27/07/2026 15:22

I wonder what Charles and William think of it all!

Puzzledandpissedoff · 27/07/2026 15:24

MrsFinkelstein · 27/07/2026 13:52

She has form for this. Archetypes instead of Stereotypes etc

You beat me to it, MrsF Wink

It's just another futile attempt to look as if she knows what she's talking about when in reality there's not the least hope, so then the fake empathy, the doe eyes and all the rest are brought in, presumably in the hope they'll rescue the situation

“Optionality” was another new word when she could have just said “options” (or choices) for choosing their ingredients.

I dread to think

ComePlayMyTrombolise · 27/07/2026 16:02

“Make it sparkle for Meghan Markle!” Sofia shouts, and doggone it, that is just about the most brilliant bit of wordplay anyone present has ever heard. The kitchen practically explodes with happiness.

Surely she corrected them here as, and I quote, ‘Meghan playfully interjected, "It's so funny too that you keep saying Meghan Markle, you know I'm Sussex now," explaining that sharing the Sussex surname with her children is deeply meaningful to her’

Although, I’m hard pressed to think a slogan that can be used to rhyme with Sussex. I’m sure the hive mind of MN can come up with something though.

Let it ???? for Meghan Sussex.

The hair flicking, the flirty smiling , I half expected her to ask them if she could have a lick.

ComePlayMyTrombolise · 27/07/2026 16:04

Oooh how about ‘Cook some drumstick for Meghan Sussex!’

I've seen quite a bit of it now, and it seems to have the air of the American Express adverts from the 1980s that Not The Nine O'Clock News used to take the piss out off.

I don't think they spend much time thinking about it. They both have busy lives and what Harry and Meghan do doesn't really affect them, unless they won't reply about whether they want to book a room for the night.

The comment about sharing her name with her husband and children, made to Mindy Kaling, seemed exceptionally tone deaf given that Mindy is not married (as far as we know) has never named the father of her children and has kept their privacy.

I thought I saw a little grimace of hurt on Mindy’s face.

I’m not sure there will be any great interest in a 30th Diana Death Anniversary ‘celebration’ if I’m brutally honest.
I was a big Diana fan. Cried all day of her funeral. Read every story/watched every tv show about her for maybe the next 2-3 years.
Went out shopping on the day Charles married Camilla and didn’t watch any coverage.
Was desperate to go to the 10th anniversary concert -in fact we bought tickets.
but I think that’s because Duran Duran were playing.
As it turned out I couldn’t go due to pregnancy complications.
DH tried to sell tickets . Turned out he couldn’t even give them away. We’ve still got them somewhere.
FF to twentieth anniversary-did anything happen? I know there was that uncomfortable meeting between W & H when they did the unveiling of the frankly bloody awful statue in Kensington Palace Gardens but that was a few years after 2017 I think.
Now we are approaching 30 years - isn’t it time to leave her in peace now? I think that’s will be the message coming out of KP.
The world has moved on massively. So much has happened since that August night in 1997.
The causes that Diana championed are being looked after by a new cohort of people. Charities set up in her name have closed down and funds have been distributed .
Both her children are older than she was when she died. All of her grandchildren have been born.
I genuinely don’t think there will be any public desire for it.
(And I’ve grown up and really like Camilla now who has won me over with her quiet ‘just get on with it’ attitude, her love of dogs , her championing of DV and the fact she is a secret Terf).
Move on Harry. You’ve milked your mum for all she’s worth.

@DaisyDooley

That’s a great post.

AliasGracie · 27/07/2026 17:22

Don't know if anyone has noticed but Cat Jarman has posted a pic of CS taking her to visit the grave of his brother. She points out that the family were brought up at Park House. I do wonder whether it's a deliberate attempt to correct that notion that Althorp was where Diana was brought up.

The Royal Family WhatsApp group must be on fire 🔥

I'd love to know what Mike Tindall has to say - especially about the podcast

I seem to remember that they was an intention to call a halt to anniversary events after the 25th and the statue unveiling. I don't see any reason for a new Netflix show ut it seems HAM think there is a new payday in the 30th.

I don't understand the HAM obsession with the constant Diana reminders through clothes, events, stunts and even graves 🙄You are right about everything moving on - even Harry's "personal" donation to Children in Need came from him closing a Diana charity.

Lunde · 27/07/2026 18:51

Was Masterchef trolling Meghan by showing her standing in a damp, dank empty car park waiting to make her "grand entrance"? It sort of reminded me of her speech at the UN in Switzerland.

For arguments sake if they do produce a Diana documentary, what can they put in this “documentary” that we don’t know already? It’s either going to be a Saint Diana documentary which will be a snooze fest or one that tears into KC and Camilla, and if he is trying to get back in KC’s good books the latter would be pure folly. I suppose if he has Charles Spencer onside there could be a more intimate look at her growing up and of course the money shot of laying flowers on the grave if CS allows it or they managed to sneak a camera in without his knowledge. Netflix will no doubt produce a slick production with all the bells and whistles but all it will be is a glorified channel 5 documentary with a Harry voice over.

Did you mean she asked them if they wanted a lick - but like her last culinary film as hotdog girl?

hoteltango · 27/07/2026 19:17

Shauna of The Vintage Read Show has said that there is no Diana documentary. She refers to Alison Boshoff's substack (https://alisonboshoff.substack.com/p/there-is-no-film-or-documentary-about) where Alison writes:

"Sussex sources swear this aint so. ‘There is no film or documentary about Diana,’ they tell me. Senior sources at Netflix indicate that there isn’t anything in the works with them, and they have a ‘first look’ deal with the couple."

I personally find so much of what the Sussexes say to be utter nonsense, so maybe the documentary plan is the same.

Pamela Stephenson IIRC

Isn't that what Harry so rudely said to John Travolta?
