Without wanting to belittle pilots in any form, being a pilot doesn't require you to have good emotional intelligence and it doesn't require anything above a "high average" of 110 IQ.
It requires above average degree of motor skills and processing skills, and above all the necessary training and sustained experience.
This applies to the vast majority of skills that anyone on the higher side of average can do. I do not know how to crochet because I haven't learned to crochet. I didn't pass an A Level maths exam because I never studied or took the exam. I am very competent at my professional specialism because I apply myself to it.
It's what you do with the raw ability that matters.
As it happens, I have a genius level IQ. Pushing 160. But I don't particularly apply it to genius level problems. Frankly, genius can run you into trouble sometimes, and due to past experience I'm done with trouble. The smartest thing I've done with my life is avoid trouble, and I'm not really ambitious. I'm quite happy thriving in my little corner of the world without acclaim or some megabucks salary.
Harry thinks that he deserves all the acclaim based on a) who he was born, b) achievements from years ago and c) things he was heavily supported with.
