What is likely to happen to the Sussexes?

When the money stops flowing in? They are finished as a brand, MM has nothing original to offer and is tainted with the toxicity that has surrounded them. She personally has ‘bullying’ allegations and high staff turnover as well as her blatant dishonesty. There is evidence that they are no good at making podcasts / documentaries etc so no big income there. There is increasing ‘interest’ from US authorities into their financial dealings … what next? Surely KC3 won’t fund them, so how will they keep going?

You could probably say the same about the rest of the RF too - rotten from the top down.

Butteredtoast55 · 10/02/2026 23:04

I certainly think Meghan is tenacious and has the grit to keep trying new things. I suspect she'll end up acting again in fairly middle of the road Hallmark films or a low key drama. But I can't see how they can generate the income they would like to have to sustain the lifestyle they want.
I honestly can't see what Harry brings to the table so unless he sells his soul in another book I can't see him making much of a contribution.

Shutuptrevor · 10/02/2026 23:05

Walmart are probably hiring somewhere 🤷🏻‍♀️

TheSpidermanIsHavingMeForDinnerTonight · 10/02/2026 23:28

I don't think it will be too long before we find out.

ItsPoochie · 10/02/2026 23:32

I agree with @Butteredtoast55. MM will keep plugging away at different things. I can’t see them fading into obscurity.

GetThemFromTheBack · 10/02/2026 23:39

Why are you so sure that Charles wouldn’t fund them? He is funding his brother who is a sexual predator and general dodgy character, who has damaged the monarchy, so it wouldn’t surprise me if he funded people who hadn’t done anything anywhere near as bad.

I don’t think they’ll run out of money anyway.

blueshoes · 10/02/2026 23:44

Harry has an inheritance. I am sure they have millions from Netflix etc.

However, their burn rate must be very high, including the cost of security and the maintenance of their property. Therefore, it cannot last a lifetime.

They should just disappear into obscurity, ditch the security and trappings, and live a very comfortable life. Otherwise, the party might come to a hard stop. Then they will have to suck up to dodgy rich people like Andrew and Fergie did to bankroll them.

suburberphobe · 10/02/2026 23:46

Another bashing them post.

Do give over.

They saw the rot setting in. Good for them for getting out.

I keep reading this on threads on here, but surely he’s just keeping him contained. He kicked him out of his big house and made him not a prince. If he made him homeless and starving too (which seems to be what people think he should do) Andrew’s going to have to get money somehow and that’s even more of a problem for Charles, isn’t it?

Anyway, with regard to the Sussexes, I think they’ll be fine. The global superstar glamour philanthropist thing clearly hasn’t worked out as well as they hoped but they’re not going to be shopping at Walmart (or indeed shopping at all - they’ll have staff for that).

GrimDamnFanjo · 11/02/2026 00:03

Charles won’t see them out in the street. I suspect he’ll fund them to some degree. However, things may be different when William is in charge.

Oh give it a rest.

Lavenderandbrown · 11/02/2026 00:36

I find I cannot watch/ listen to anything with Meghan now. There was an Instagram about her promotion/ alliance with the Girl Scouts. When asked…do you see lillibet or would you let lillibet participate in girl scouts in the future? Instead of just saying yes of course if lillibet is interested Meghan immediately launched into some esoteric word salad response and I thought uugghh I’m never listening to her again.

Cant they invest all their money live off their dividends and be beautiful rich and exclusive?

caringcarer · 11/02/2026 00:45

They have a lot of money. H got I heritance that had been invested for him so larger than when he inherited. M is wealthy in her own right. M could always go back to acting or write a book. H is pretty useless but I expect he could try to sue another newspaper. KC would not see his grandkids homeless.

KittyTinker · 11/02/2026 06:51

The uk government recently announced that they want the population to be aware of flight emissions when booking flights, this sounds very much like Travalyst. They even use a case study supplied by Travalyst in the government information.

She's heading for 50 I think that route is closed. Established popular actresses struggle to get roles at her age

Ihateboris · 11/02/2026 06:59

Who knows what will happen? I'm sure they'll be a lot happier than the Royals! On a side note..I absolutely love this photo

There is increasing ‘interest’ from US authorities into their financial dealings …

Where do you get this idea? While I agree that they have financial issues and there's not an obvious, easy solution, I've seen no indication at all in the USA that there's any kind of legal problem. It does seem to be a topic of some persistent, prurient interest in the UK, but they don't live there.

Are you perhaps misreading the headlines about the Sussex Cricket Club's finances being investigated?

Burningbud1981 · 11/02/2026 07:27

After everything you’ve read in the last few weeks and you still think Harry and Meghan are the problem ….

Wisperley · 11/02/2026 07:32

They have plenty of money - Harry has loads of inheritance which is invested well somewhere so they will never be short. People are bored with them now, so I think they'll just fade into insignificance.

Sweetiedarling7 · 11/02/2026 07:35

They have more than enough money to be set for life.
Interest in them, and so their ability to attract attention, will keep fading away, especially when William is king.
Then they can enjoy their supposedly highly desired privacy.
I will miss the comedy though.

Overtheatlantic · 11/02/2026 07:38

I think they will continue living their lives and raising their children, and ignoring the unhinged people who hate them, especially those who live on salty island.

Thisseasonsdiamante · 11/02/2026 07:40

I think the last few months had truly shown up that getting out while they could was for the absolute best. They monetised their departure well even if it was at an enormous cost for everyone they ever came in contact with. They just need to keep moving forward. I can’t imagine how Harry particularly fills his days and has some purpose. Lack of purpose is incredibly bad for mental health.
