Well, good luck to them. They want to be in the headlines and talked about, they want celebrity and a quasi royal life, fine. Let them get on with it. If they want to promote her pancake mix and their children - their choice. Some people just like to live in the public eye.
As long as they're not dishing out other people's private details and telling lies for money, it's all progression.

The amount of projection on this thread, I mean honestly @OtherS the children have no chemistry - really??! You got that from this photo?

The same people will cry foul if that was done to the Wales’ kids 🤷🏽‍♀️

I like the picture. I think it’s good that they conceal the children’s faces from the media. Too many nit jobs and also why would any parent expose their child to nasty personal comments about their appearance!

Oh my god, there's another thread where George was picked on. Awful. Like he's responsible for bloodsports! Just leave the kids out of it.

I agree! That's the way they choose to live. As long as they don't harm others, (and to be fair, they seem to have stopped that now), then what's the problem?

Well, it happens even with side on, or back views! It's a problem though, because they're part of the promotion. I can't see a way round it

This is absolutely the question - why would any parent expose their child to nasty personal comments by posting pictures of them online? Especially a parent who has complained at length about the harm of being photographed through his own childhood, and has campaigned for children’s online safety, and the importance of keeping images of children off the internet 🤔

The teasing with glimpses of their faces is worse than just a standard photo imo. There’s absolutely no need for any images of A+L to be made public at all, they could have a completely private childhood as many children of celebs do, it’s just a particularly grim choice of the parents to use them as clickbait like this. I suppose the answer to the question is that ultimately it’s all about attention for the parents, keeping up with the Waleses, the chance to use a grandiose pseudo working royal caption, and of course promotion of their commercial interests

@Raisondeetre

See the attached photos about smiling emojis.
In the bottom right corner of the message box there is a smiley face. Tap it and you will open lots of emojis. Or you can use your own emojis from your keyboard. This may be on the mobile app only, though. Good luck and Merry Christmas 🎄

Thank you.

Ultimately they care more about promoting their ‘bra’ than they do about their children’s privacy and wellbeing.

I think that is true for any famous person who posts photos of their children. We don’t need to see photos of Royal kids any more than we need photos of a musician or influencers children. Or any non famous kid! It’s just bad parenting.

If they really wanted to protect their children from media and public scrutiny then they wouldn't feature them at all on public SM. But they do, and the children are.

H&M choose to be public figures. They do not need to involve their children at all.

JemimaTiggywinkles · 20/12/2025 10:11

The Wales’ don’t really have much choice about their children unless they want to end the monarchy altogether. They also don’t campaign about keeping children’s images off social media, nor bang on about how damaged they are by the press intrusion to their childhoods, so a few pictures every now and then don’t come across as hypocritical.

That said, I don’t really see what people are nitpicking about this photo. I’m not a fan of posed “natural” images, I prefer either posed or natural rather than a fake one. But lots of people do the fake natural ones and this seems perfectly normal for that category.

PurpleDiva22 · 20/12/2025 10:12

What a vile thread, berating the appearance of children and critically analysing a nice family photo. "Oh but they shared it publically" yes but I've no doubt if they didn't share one there would be a thread wondering why and giving out about them for that too. I also wonder if Kate and Will posed in the same way with their children looking similar would the comments be the same or would there be gushing compliments over how amazing they all look. Some of you are obsessed with hating this family and it's strange why you invest that much time into hating a family you don't even know in real life. I dont get the obsession with the Royal Family anyway so I'll never understand it fully but bloody hell give yourselves a break!

This, exactly.
It's very important, as you say, for the Sussexes to remain in the public eye.
That's who they are.
This sort of thing obviously does the trick because here we all are!

QuornToBeWild · 20/12/2025 10:42

Harry scrambling around to find ways to make money just shows how distinctly average and non special the royals are. Without money that is handed to them, most of them would be vastly unprepared to live in the real world. If the Royals were told tomorrow that they were no longer Royal and had to pay for themselves, especially in the lifestyle they’re used to, most would completely fail. It’s disgusting really that the institution is allowed to raise children who have nothing useful to offer the real world, no real talent or skills. At least Harry keeps going I suppose, that shows some level of resilience, although I think it’s probably more to do with the belief that is instilled in them that they’re special so it’s more like self belief because they’re raised to be so entitled. I think they would all use their children in some way if they were told tomorrow they were no longer handed their life on a plate as they know there would be interest in the next generation, and most wouldn’t have anything else to offer.

Some really nasty comments on here.
If you don’t like someone, and lets me honest I’m willing to bet that there isn’t one person on this thread who knows either H or M, then just don’t let them bother you.
There are far more evil people in the world that H or M. You don’t have to like them but criticising someone’s photographs is just silly.
They are not forcing you to buy anything from them and they most certainly won’t be sending you this Christmas card!

Well it might be a bit complicated but he attends various events with his father and grandfather due to his position. It would be just odd to stick a smiley over his face. As for family group photos well I guess that's the modern day equivalent of the whole court watching the Queen giving birth to the heir to the throne. Joking 😂 No one is forcing you to look at them.

Royal children are not in the same category as celeb children. As part of the royal family they may eventually have a working role so it makes sense for them to be introduced to the public in a very carefully managed way. I believe the Waleses handle this well.

There is absolutely no reason for Harry and Meghan Markle’s children to have a public presence at all. This is merching pure and simple.

Do you not think people would be asking questions if the Wales DC were not occasionally photographed? Remember the furore when Catherine wasn’t seen for a couple of months ? If they were never seen some people would complain about paying for children who are never seen.
The Wales DC are seen at official events and photos are issued at birthdays etc .
That’s it .
Contrary to what Meghan claimed there are not 50 paps waiting to photograph the DC as they go to school .
