I’m not commenting on the kids’ appearance, other than to say the boy is clinging to Harry as though his attention is a rare thing and the girl looks reluctant to be there at all. That’s just how it looks to me.

This is just the beginning of an acceleration of these images to promote a wholesome family image, maybe to improve Meghan Markle’s popularity, more likely to advance her brand. It’s somewhat at odds with their declared aim to protect children from online harm but as we know, what Meghan wants, Meghan gets.

What was shocking about it was my point, folks have been sharing summer photos for holiday cards for a while now - can’t say I understand it but I won’t call it shocking.

i have never heard of a Holiday card

We have family and friends in the US, some who are Christian. They sometimes say Happy Christmas but Happy Holidays is much more common and is just what they say. They’re not forcing anyone else to say it, so there’s no actual issue, other than people who seem to dislike every tiny thing Meghan and Harry do and that mumsnet is well known for its dislike of ‘Americanisms’.

People make themselves look very silly taking issue with it.

Of course, it’s another RF moment they hop on to for leverage for publicity for themselves, William and his family post an outdoor family photo for Xmas, less than 24hrs later Meghan posts an outdoor family photo that she wants/needs to create public discussion and critique, she appears to be a very complex character, with an unhealthy focus on trying to impersonate the RF.

No I’m British but chronically online.

Oh they all do, to the minutiae but are all much better and sleeker at it than H&M and they don’t have a tabloid machine dragging them for every breath.

if I did have the tabloids doing what you say, I’d not give them oxygen.

I’d keep my head down, not post photos or make comments.

I’d just get on living my life quietly. But they don’t.

So my take on that, is, that they want the publicity whether negative or not.

No, they were quiet for the first year after leaving before Oprah, finding a house and gaining footing - it was relentless, I remember it, threats about the year in review, how they were going to be broke, how much they disappointed Queen, how much William hated Harry, how they hoped he would divorce Meghan and return. How they couldn’t wait to strip his military titles. It was ugly.

Remember when Meghan disappeared for three months a couple years ago and the where’s Meghan articles started, the Telegraph even drew a graph of her appearances, they claimed she deserted Harry. The Daily Mail had their own version. So no I don’t believe they will be left alone.

The very last thing Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex want is to be left alone! 😂😂

@NewAgeNewMe there’s too much money in hateful content around them. look at Tina brown randomly popping up to quote a dead woman, of course the Sussexes responded, there’s a thriving ecosystem tabloids can plug into anytime for drama. H&M are not perfect by any means but it’s not all on them.
