They should house him amongst commoners in a council house just so he really feels his fall. I’ve nothing against council houses and I don’t mean commoners as a slur but that is how he must view the general public thinking we are all stupid. Happy Christmas Andrew!!!

I was confused by all this talk of Wood Farm and thought they meant the council estate in Oxford.

All to the good if W does intend a cull - my personal view is the RF is outdated. If we must have one, then just leave it at a King (or Queen) and one heir.

I would like a model like some other European countries. Small, modest royal family that cycles around etc.

Yes. That has never been an issue. No-one in their right mind would cheerfully face a jury trial on a “he said, she said” basis in a foreign jurisdiction, let alone when there is pressure to just make the lawsuit go away. The risks are simply too great, no matter how fervently you believe in your innocence.

That has never been an issue.
Perhaps not for you but it's as dodgy AF for me. Particularly as he still claims he never even met her.

Well Andrew's belief that he hasn't done anything wrong for a start.

A witch hunt is basically when a group or an individual are hounded for what they have allegedly done or said. I have seen at first hand a situation where people have been falsely accused of child abuse where the alleged victim has had no proof of their involvement. It ruins people's lives.

His belief doesn't matter. There are rapists, serial killers etc that believe they have done nothing wrong. Doesn't change the facts.

  • Andrew may have raped VG (not convicted though he paid without admitting guilt
  • Andrew went to "orgies" - likely involving minors or significant power differences, and therefore abusive orgies rather than consensual - and did nothing for those vulnerable people. Instead he dug in deeper to side with the abusers
  • Andrew continued his support of a convicted serial child rapist then lied about it. Epstein was eventually convicted of multiple rapes the second time around

For all of that, he gets a stupid title removed and gets moved to another luxurious property where he will continue his life of leisure. He is hardly hard done by is he?

It's not really surprising that the King and Queen would mention them but good that they did. Camilla does a lot of work in this area, as does Sophie. I'm sure they were despairing at Andrew's mealy mouthed statement.

Not happy he's coming to Norfolk though!

Norfolk? Is he?

Which European country would that be?
Let me tell you, these other monarchies are just as lavish and grand, plus there are scandals there, too!
Look up what's happened in Norway, Denmark and Spain for starters.....

TightlyLacedCorset · 30/10/2025 22:23

Blimey. I didn't hear the news! His titles are getting formally stripped, wow!! Didn't think that would happen.

Despite this statement mentioning the victims, the cynic in me feels the true reason they have gone this far is because of the existential threat it served to the royal family. And in contrary fashion, whilst I'm glad that stronger action was taken (how sad Giuffre had to die before anything happened) this whole sorry debacle just epitomises how horrible it must be to be royal and have to take these sorts of ameliorative punitive measures just so the institution can continue.

Question: If Andrew Mountbatten Windsor was to be served a subpoena today, by the Americans, in order to answer questions (I guess there is no case anyway but theoretically) could he avoid it like he did in the past, during which time his status had previously protected him?

LlamaNoDrama · 30/10/2025 22:24

Bobiverse · 30/10/2025 19:27

That’s what I was thinking but no one else is talking about the implied guilt!

Agreed! They're basically saying they think he's guilty, surely that's even bigger than him being stripped of his title and being moved along?

Vaxtable · 30/10/2025 22:24

LunarLights1 · 30/10/2025 20:46

He’s an alleged pedophile.

Where is the evidence he slept with prepubescent children?

Pedophilia relates normally to prepubescent children ages 10-13

Virginia was 17, when he was alleged to have slept with her, and the age of consent in the US is 16 to 18 depending on the state. Therefore he could be an alledged rapist if she was underage for consent

Not saying what’s happened to him isn’t right, no smoke without fire etc, but let’s get facts right rather than bandying about pedophile and nonce

CrimsonStoat · 30/10/2025 22:25

I believe the King is very very unwell and that William will be king sooner rather than later.

Me too.

Seriously 🙄

And the Machangulo Affair when the Dutch royalty bought a luxurious villa in Mozambique. The purchase had all the dubiousness of the powerful vs the voiceless. Corruption, no disregard for locals or the environment.

ETA: location of Villa

Does this suggest he's guilty of worse behaviour than we're already aware of? I agree it should have happened long ago but am curious as to what's finally pushed Charles to do this.

Good q.
I think

  1. the recent revelation that Andrew had blatantly lied to the British people and to his family about the end of his relationship with Epstein was the fatal blow. No coming back. Even his daughters must be able to see that if he lied about that, he’s likely lying about everything.

  2. there are almost certainly more dirty Epstein secrets to come out. Maybe some will directly involve Andrew, maybe only tangentially, but the Royal Family clearly wants to put up a firewall for when it happens.

  3. William’s new house is basically next door to Royal Lodge - no way does he want his pervy uncle on his doorstep. His fingerprints are all over this dagger.

That's why I loved former Queen Margrethe of Denmark, likely found having a sneaky fag out the back of a venue. Albeit probably with her tiara still on 😂.

They cost a fraction of our royals - you can laugh all you like but I have visited these countries, especially Denmark, many times, their royals are far more modest. It doesn’t mean they don’t have scandals, of course it doesn’t, and I would abolish every one of them, but pretending they’re comparable is just nonsense and no amount of laughing emojis will change that.

Edited

Quite. Plus the scandals of King Juan Carlos and various money schemes.
Princess Mette Marit's son and what he's charged with.
Plus all the grand events where they regularly wear tiaras and other bling. Bicycles my arse, as Jim Royle would say! 😂😂

TightlyLacedCorset · 30/10/2025 22:31

JacknDiane · 30/10/2025 22:12

Well done my arse

Charles is funding his brothers next mansion within Sandringham and no doubt Fergie will end up there too

Well at least he'll have a companion in disgrace. I don't think it would have reflected well on Fergie to have abandoned him wholly in his trial (deserved though it might be) after living off him and the lifestyle he provided for tears. Her profligate spending was part of the reason he had to go groveling to Epstein for cash and keep him inside as a 'friend'

Yes she should be with him. Perhaps they'll even remarry.

KeepAwayFromChildren · 30/10/2025 22:32

Thedom · 30/10/2025 19:16

Wow, that is monumental, never expected it to happen.

I wonder if something else is about to come out about him!

I suspect there is a custodial sentence on the horizon for Andrew which would be so much easier for the King (and the nation) to deal with if he isn't summonsed or arrested from royal property.

My gut feeling is they are adjusting the optics ahead of time.

Look it up. Genuinely. I'm laughing because it's such a ludicrous claim.

Epstein funded her, too.

I think that there is a charge coming relating to his asking his police protection officer to dig up information on Virginia guiffre. Even the met police are onboard with that.

😆😆😆Just snarfed my coffee!

Bye Andy! 🥳
