Every time I think he can’t get anymore tone deaf and narcissistic he proves me wrong.

StartupRepair · 15/09/2025 06:45

I don't know where to begin. Remember Kate and Charles being 'accidentally' named as the racists in Scobie's book? Remember how the Netflix program trashed the Commonwealth, the Queen's legacy? Remember the nasty things he said about William and Kate?

Superhansrantowindsor · 15/09/2025 06:46

These days you can lie to your hearts content as long as you call it ‘my truth’.

PigglyWigglyOhYeah · 15/09/2025 06:47

If you come from a family with the motto ‘never complain, never explain’ then any kind of personal revelation is airing one’s dirty laundry in public, never mind writing about penises, losing virginity and all the rest of it. It’s as if he just absolutely refuses to contemplate that what he has done is wrong. If he had said, as a PP suggested, ‘I made a mistake, with hindsight…’ etc I might feel more generously disposed towards him. As it is, I dislike him even more, now.

Superhansrantowindsor · 15/09/2025 06:52

When William is King he knows he will lose his title.

Chiefangel · 15/09/2025 06:53

Well his mother was definitely right when she herself described him as thick.

Yiayoula · 15/09/2025 07:04

I would like Charles and Harry to be in contact again, privately, so the King could see his grandchildren.
I emphatically would not like Harry to be welcomed back into the royal fold as though nothing had happened.
He simply cannot be trusted to be discreet and respectful.

ThatCyanCat · 15/09/2025 07:14

I really did like them both when they decided to leave for America and I think a lot of people did. I've never seen anyone barrel through so much public goodwill.

ThatCyanCat · 15/09/2025 07:15

Superhansrantowindsor · 15/09/2025 06:52

When William is King he knows he will lose his title.

He's the born son of a reigning monarch, surely he can't lose the title of Prince?

The duchess of Sussex sounds better than princess henry

Quite. If Meghan objected to the proffered title of Earl of Dumbarton because it had the word dumb in it, then I don't think her being known as Princess Henry is going to cut it. Although she's currently cosplaying 'trad wife' so who knows?

moondune · 15/09/2025 07:21

I imagine a PR exec has told him to donate a headlining amount of money to a charity and then hug a child in a war zone. ‘Then the UK public will love you again!’

So that is what he did.

i think he’s mentally ill. And thick.

Tontostitis · 15/09/2025 07:21

NewAgeNewMe · 15/09/2025 05:35

I actually think he believes some of the stuff that comes out of his mouth.

I think he believes it all. The Palace PR machine did an excellent job of making him likeable out in the wild he's showing himself up over and over again.

Sporadica · 15/09/2025 07:22

Half of those stories were never even known—like how he treated his teacher, how he put cream on his frostbitten part, or how he lost his virginity, just to name a few.

The teacher thing may require further scrutiny, but do you really think that anyone else should have a say in how the other things are talked about (provided he doesn't name the sexual partner)? If so, why?

MarshaMarshaMarsha · 15/09/2025 07:26

Apologies if I’ve missed any discussion on if but is this a big hint that Charles is sicker than they have let on. It sounds to me like Harry is not expecting him to recover?

Bunnycat101 · 15/09/2025 07:28

In every organisation I’ve ever worked in media statements are checked by multiple people and then checked again. He is being poorly advised and obviously doesn’t realise how hard the palace previously worked to protect him from himself. Outsourcing to a PR firm will never give him the same access to advice that he had previously.

JSMill · 15/09/2025 07:31

H can say what he likes about the book. The public judged him by what he said and it wasn’t a very favourable verdict. I don’t like him saying that the ‘focus needs to be on my dad in the next year’ because you could infer he knows something about the king’s lifespan.

MargaretThursday · 15/09/2025 07:33

Makes you wonder whether his PR person is being ignored, appalling at their job, or wants him to self-destruct.

Someone needs to teach him the words "no comment" or give him a few phrases he can trot out that say basically nothing.

Hels20 · 15/09/2025 07:34

54 mins with his father. The King spent 16 mins with my sister when she was dying when he visited a hospice. I expect they exchanged pleasantries and the King told H that if he revealed anything about their conversation then he would be toast. So far he hasn’t directly - but it does feel like he is gesturing that the King really is quite ill.

I just don’t see how any member of the family can trust him. It will all be v superficial visits. The relationship is broken.

KittyHigham · 15/09/2025 07:42

Just because he a legal right to do it, doesn't mean he should @Sporadica. He violated others privacy in a global forum. No one needed to know how he lost his virginity and he knew full well that speculation around who it was with would be intense. He chose to go ahead with that. Same as announcing to the world his brother is circumcised. No one else's business

He also has the right to air dirty laundry but he has to accept the consequences. Saying what he did wasn't airing dirty laundry makes him look stupid. Just as his justification about inaccuracy in his accounts being "his truth" confirms he is untrustworthy.

And his most recent comment about the focus next year needing to be on his Dad, shows utter disregard for his father's best interests

Butteredtoast55 · 15/09/2025 07:42

One of the things I despise most is his certainty that he has a beneficial effect on his father's health. It's like his pompous statements about wanting to be sure HMTLQ had the right people around to advise her, i.e. him
The stress his behaviour must generate for KC is unimaginable. He's such a loose cannon that every conversation will have to be handled so carefully and that's before you consider the impact H has on other family members and the responsibility KC has for that. This just shows that he leaks to the press constantly, cannot keep anything private and has zero self awareness. He really is a twat.

stayathomegardener · 15/09/2025 07:43

I don’t see how his statement regarding the King can be taken any other way than implying his cancer diagnosis is more serious then we are led to believe or indeed terminal.

Outrageous behaviour when Charles has clearly wished to keep any information private and damp down speculation.

I think if the Royal family take him back now in any official capacity he will tank them all.

Tkaequondo · 15/09/2025 07:44

He keeps re-writing the narrative, over and over and over again, to whatever suits him in the moment. Too bad he has the memory of a goldfish.

Viviennemary · 15/09/2025 07:47

He has no self awareness so can always justify it when he does something idiotic. Like Meghan writing on those bananas with felt tips. That's why neither of them can represent the royal family again.

netflixfan · 15/09/2025 07:48

He and Meghan will get booed if they come back.
