There are so many UK veterans who could benefit from the £26m being pumped into Invictus - adaptable housing, retraining, mental health. It's a complete vanity project, and the fact that the veterans have to self fund while the patron gets his expenses paid seems to completely escape the attention of the press,

I do agree about the iniquitous amount spent both in the bidding and the similar amount Harold's looking to the UK government to sub and I agree about it being a vanity project. I view it as similar to the Andrew problem in finding something, anything for a useless but entitled spare to do.

However Invictus do fund the vets plus two family/friends accommodation and meals albeit through one of their partners.

Why do this man and his wife upset people so much? They’re not criminals, they do good for charity, they're happily married with children, a lot of nice people like them. There are genuinely repulsive people you can direct your anger at.

This is why I get so pissed off with the party line on here from the Meghan fans, always claiming about how vile the “British Media” were to Meghan and that the Royals control the press and Kate never gets awful things said about her when it’s clearly not true.

Kate and her family had a lot of unkind things written about them. The papers used to love tearing down James Middleton for his varying degrees of success in business. Having read his book, I know he was going through a really tough time mentally during that period. Those stories could have pushed him over the edge.

They are as good as criminals in my book. Morally bankrupt, driven by greed. Waste of oxygen, both of them. I’m not angry, I’m baffled and disappointed that such people can still pull the wool over people’s eyes.

I don’t think Kate never gets awfil things said about her. She gets a bit of it now and then. Meghan however gets much more negative articles than positive. There’s a definite bias imo.

I would hardly describe the ‘Where is Kate’ worldwide media storm “getting a bit of it now and then” imagine having to go through that when you have just been diagnosed with cancer and need to tell your three little children you are ill. Imagine being named as the so called Royal racist and that very night having to put your glad rags and your game face on in front of the worlds media. How she coped I will never know. Yeah Kate has it easy compared to Meghan 🙄
