Just in case you thought he was thinking about his dad. Or the dailymail. It was a pre-emptive correction

😂

Did he run this interview past his PR team I wonder. If they gave it the thumbs up then H&M are wasting their money on them. If they advised him not to do it and Harry went ahead anyway then I'd be giving him up as a client if I were them .

Maybe he had the same PR team as (Gr)Egg Wallace?

And doesn't H stress, in his book, how their popularity with the public was the reason the rest of the BF got jealous?

Absolutely! He emphasised how popular they were. He said that their popularity with the public made other members of the RF jealous.
He never once said that Meghan experienced racism, or that either of them experienced negativity.

Only one person sounds obsessive here.

Oh, I've sooo missed the SS scoldings! Pa must've bunged H some cash.

skyeisthelimit · 15/09/2025 13:45

wow, he really is delusional isn't he. Did he not read his own book? Grin. Maybe it was a doppelganger who did all those tv interviews.

It honestly wouldn't surprise me if he claimed that 😂😂

Puzzledandpissedoff · 15/09/2025 13:47

Can I suggest we avoid the attempts at derailment, especially when they feature unfounded accusations?

In the meantime does anyone else remember the journalist in Malawi, where Harry snarled "Don't behave like this" when she asked a perfectly civil question about his aims?

Seems to me someone could do with using the same words to Harry, though it appears to me that he's now beyond taking that in

piscofrisco · 15/09/2025 13:47

He really should just stop speaking now.

When your beau is back in town?! Who talks like that unless their from the 1700s or out of a Mills & Boon novel.

"Beau" is a bit Gone With The Wind to me!

It's weird how she tries to monetise this relationship. They're middle aged parents, hardly love's young dream. And they've not been seen together in months. I'm not implying that that indicates trouble in the marriage, but references to 'my H', 'my husband' or my 'beau' are kind of empty. And it's interesting how she rarely refers to him by name. It's always in relation to her.

MrsMitford3 · 15/09/2025 13:51

JustineRobots · 15/09/2025 12:55

Then why did millions of people watch it on television? Hold street parties?

You’re inventing a public outcry at this marriage that never actually happened.

I live in Windsor.
It was crazy here-the Long Walk was full of champagne carts and food stalls and a very festive atmosphere. The weather was gorgeous.

The whole town was buzzing-the M&S actually changed the name on the front of the store to Markle and Sparkles.
Flags and bunting everywhere.
It was extremely an extremely happy and joyful vibe (even though we had metal detectors at the end of our road and parking was impossible)

I don't think they could have had a more positive reception from the public than they did.
People were so ready to get behind them.
And they threw that all away with their subsequent behaviour.

Prince Harry's outburst at reporter over 'simple' question

Prince Harry became angry at a reporter over a 'simple' question during a high-profile tour. A royal correspondent has shared how she faced a sharp reaction from Prince Harry after asking she...

Yep, I can attest to that.

I was a passenger on a flight into Heathrow that flew over Windsor maybe half an hour after the ceremony itself and the crowds still looked enormous...the idea H&M had little support initlally is nonsense.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 15/09/2025 14:02

That's the one, @Mylovelygreendress
There was no need at all for Harry to snarl as he did, but then there's no need for him to do a lot of things he does

Falseknock · 15/09/2025 13:05

You're obsessed with the royal family that's why you watched them. You read the news articles, the books you watch them when they do interviews, and their Netflix series. You want them to fail that's why you watch them. I read all the comments when they first got together and when they married "I can't believe the Queen allowed it to happen".

define obsessed? You seem obsessed with making up a story that isnt true. Of course some people won’t have liked it, that’s how everything works .

ThePoshUns · 15/09/2025 14:03

Falseknock · 15/09/2025 11:35

The old saying goes "you can't choose your family". What Prince Andrew has done is far worse and he never gets this amount of scrutiny. Lord Mandelson has lost his job but not our Prince Andrew he has a get out of jail card. Yet people say it has nothing to do with racism?

I hate to break it to you but Peter Mandelson is white also.

PinkFlloyd · 15/09/2025 14:06

Harry is living proof of the Dunning Kruger effect.

Lunde · 15/09/2025 14:11

Harry just can't help himself - can he?

He'd had a pretty good week

  • carefully curated events
  • access for "invited" press only (so front pages & no negative stories)
  • meeting the King after 18 months
  • The donation announcement guaranteeing him top billing on the BBC news

So all he needed to do on his trip to Ukraine was smile, wave and talk about wounded veterans... but he couldn't do it. He had to bring the conversation back to himself and "his (un)truth". First by re-litigating his complaints from Oprah/Spare with the delusional comments that he didn't air dirty laundry. Then like a pre-schooler who knows a secret he can't help dropping hints that he knows something big by implying that the King's medical condition is very serious. For 1½ years there have been no major leaks about the level of the King's cancer but within a few days after Harry visits "a year" is put in the public domain......

BigWillyLittleTodger · 15/09/2025 14:12

@BadDinner If it’s all the late Queen’s fault that Harry is clueless on every aspect of royalty what should she or Charles have done if Harry had no interest or intention of learning about the history or the constitution? He’s had the best education money can buy, she could hardly shine a torch in his eyes until he complied. Harry is a middle aged man, it’s up to him to educate himself if he feels he didn’t pay attention in class, but he clearly still isn’t interested as he has said so himself, that’s not Charles or the Queen’s fault that’s all on Harry.

AutumnLover1989 · 15/09/2025 14:12

He has always struck me as a bit dim and Meghan has been filling his head with nonsense 😔

Horses7 · 15/09/2025 14:15

Falseknock · 15/09/2025 12:52

Yes give up you have no idea what they planned. The British public would never accept Harry marrying Meghan.

Load of rubbish - vast majority thought MEagain a wonderful addition to RF and were genuinely delighted for PH - I did and so did everyone I know.
The press ran some news fodder which wasn’t accurate or pleasant but that’s what they do - Kate and her family got similar stuff. Press are in the business of selling papers!
M&H could have been so brilliant for the UK and the Commonwealth but they blew it by their attitude/behaviour almost from the start.
They will be a thorn in William’s side for years unless he takes almost unprecedented action ie remove their Royal status - in the short term W would probably take some criticism but in the long term it’s the only course to take. In fact Charles should take the pressure off W and do it himself!!

Weepixie · 15/09/2025 14:21

I was on a train going between Munich and Zurich and had an international crowd taking it in turns to watch the wedding on my IPAD.

Imagine your father had married your innocent teenaged mother for convenience, while continuing his affair with another woman throughout the marriage.

Imagine he was head of the Church of England, but stood at the church altar lying when he vowed be faithful to his bride.

Imagine he drove her mad with his infidelity and coldness.

Imagine all of this went on in the public eye and the whole world saw her humiliation.

Imagine she died, your father married his mistress and you are supposed to pretend you respect them, and revere the pair of them as the king and queen.

How the hell would you feel?

Aren’t you forgetting Diana’s multiple affairs in that little story?
