I think William and Harry are both damaged by the actions of their parents. They saw, heard and read too much as children.

I agree. Inter generational trauma, which I believe Charles is victim of too. Hope they still manage to find a way and next generation will never have to deal with the issues.

It’s like he’s gaslighting himself. He really is a bit thick, bless him.

Did you watch the interview or the netflix series? Did you read the book?😮

So now Harry is damaging his own children.
They will read and hear about all the stuff he has said and written in the last 5 years.
Petulant, bitter accounts, invading people's privacy, telling "his truth", no concerns for anyone else's mental health or wellbeing.
For money.

He does have a job with Better Up though doesn't he? I've just checked and he's still on their leadership team. Did anyone ever find out what a 'Chief Impact Officer' does and how much the role is paid?
He's third on the leadership bio's so he must be fairly important. The leadership team seems to be very testosterone lead judging by the number of men compared to women.

Some quotes from the article

Harry mentions his wife, Meghan, only once by name, a reference to something she told him about how telling the truth “is the most efficient way to live”.
“She said ‘just stick to the truth’. It is the thing I always fall back on. Always.
“And if you think like that, who would be stupid enough to lie? It takes up too much time and effort.”

He is told that Rudnieva thought part of the reason people liked him was because he is quite Ukrainian in his attitude to life: he does his own thing, in his own way.
“You know who else did that?” says the prince. “My mum.”

Lying is not right. Of course you should tell the truth but there are time it’s better to be quiet than tell the truth.

"An insider is sharing details of the “very emotional” and long-awaited reunion between Prince Harry and his father, King Charles, after nearly two years of estrangement."

I hope this is made up shit. Otherwise Harry you’re even more of an idiot than I thought.

@CarefulN0w I’m thinking of Baldrick’s ‘I have a cunning plan’ which is anything but!

Yet despite all that one son has been able to have a happy marriage and children. What's Harry's excuse? I wonder if he would have been the same if he had married one of his long-term girlfriends or would he have had a happy family and been a support to his father and subsequently his brother?

What makes you say that. When I look in I see something completely different.

He's with an American and they don't give a fuck. Airing their dirty laundry is therapeutic.

He's a different personality and hasn't got the same responsibility as he was never expected to be king. William could never have got away with the stuff Harry pulled in his youth. Most people think Harry had the better role; all the wealth and privilege but without the same responsibility and restriction. And I always had the impression he hated being royal anyway. But maybe he actually was resentful about William's heir apparent status.

Do they look harmed you can't answer for them. They probably know a lot more than what you think. You don't see the royals thanking anyone because they know.

Thing is that quote is so weird. If you just tell the truth all the time because that is the natural part of your character, you don't think about having discussions about how to tell the truth. Or need a little quote from your wife that you need to remind yourself that telling the truth is good.

He's exposed himself again.

Falseknock · 15/09/2025 11:19

Not after what happened to his mother. That's probably why he rebelled.

drivinmecrazy · 15/09/2025 11:19

Having a ‘meeting’ with a father you hadn’t seen in many many months , that lasted less than an hour, I’d be surprised if they had enough time to discuss someone’s complex medical condition.
I think the meeting was purely perfunctory, likely to be a pre trial before they spent any substantial time together.

as for finance and Harry going cap in hand or to bolster solidifying his share of his fathers personal estate, I think this has already been set in stone and enshrined within multiple trusts, regardless of Harry’s actions.

i, like many people, hope for a reconciliation between father and son, but think nothing more will come of it.
after all his attacks on his brother and his family are surmountable 🤞

A poster on another thread last week said that Harry has to get back into good grace in the UK before Chas dies because afterwards, William won't even consider it.

This is precisely it. He knows things with William are damaged beyond repair, so he’s trying the “I want to make amends with my father before it’s too late” angle - while none too subtly implying Charles is on his way out, despite no public suggestion of anything of the sort - hoping it will tug at a few heartstrings and he can get back in good graces while he still has a potential supporter, and before William is in charge.

The big problem - well, one of many - with Harry is that, for all his wailing about life as the Spare, he’s never really understood where that will put him later in life. He always thought he was a bit special; that he was the playboy prince the press loved to follow and that even people who don’t really like the royals were cheering on.

What he forgets is that, back when his parents were getting married, Prince Andrew was all over the press for his “Randy Andy” antics, and tabloid readers lapped it up. Andrew and Fergie’s wedding was huge news - as were they for many years, even if the press coverage wasn’t exactly flattering. But then William and Harry began growing up, William had a brief moment of looking like he might inherit Diana’s looks rather than Charles’s, and suddenly there was a new generation who were more interesting and, crucially, were in line for the top job one day. Andrew was have been vilified for the past few years, but before that there were a good 15 years or more where he was largely an irrelevance. A few “rent a royal” stories, but no one particularly cared.

And maybe Harry is finally realising that that’s what lies in his future once William is King. William who has three photogenic children waiting to supplant Harry in terms of press interest, just as he did with Uncle Andy.

So why did he want to stay part of The Firm ? Why did he throw a massive tantrum when he was refused HIHO ?
Of course he wants to be part of it . He wants the 24/7 security , the police escorts instead of sitting in traffic jams , titles for his children etc etc

I didn't read his book. I had no interest in reading it, I find the anger and hate towards them bizarre.
I don't click on newspaper articles about them, it is usually bullying and mocking.
I saw the Oprah interview.
It was no more shocking than other celebrities reveal all interviews.

You haven’t read the book, you saw the Oprah interview but apparently didn’t listen to it. What exactly do you know about the situation, that you feel compelled to comment?

The old saying goes "you can't choose your family". What Prince Andrew has done is far worse and he never gets this amount of scrutiny. Lord Mandelson has lost his job but not our Prince Andrew he has a get out of jail card. Yet people say it has nothing to do with racism?

This thread is about Harry . If you look you will find threads about Andrew where 99.9% of posters despise him .

Nope I have never seen the same amount of scrutiny given to Prince Andrew. As a matter of fact I've seen many posters stick up for him and even dare I say it blame the victim.
