Mylovelygreendress · 23/08/2025 07:58

There have been rumours about a 30th anniversary documentary for some time but it is now looking more likely according to this report.
Seriously , what else is there to say about the woman ?
It seems so distasteful that H is - again- using his late mother to make money .
Any reconciliation with the RF will be stopped in its tracks if this goes ahead .

Harry and Meghan 'line up Princess Diana doc' in new Netflix deal

The streaming giant is understood to be in discussions with the couple about the programme which would mark 30 years since Diana's death in a car crash in 1997.

I can't imagine how hard this will be for William and also Charles. Harry is making money out of his mother - he can dress it up whatever way he wants but that is what it amounts to.

CathyorClaire · 24/08/2025 20:09

I’d be surprised if he was happy to put his name to something he didn’t have full editorial control over.

Very good point.

Harold's initial escape plan (dinner circuit speeches) went tits up thanks to Covid but he still managed to shoehorn in a £750k St Diana speech to one set of gullible bankers on his own terms.

NF want the dirt. If he can't or won't provide it I suspect their 'first look' will be closely followed by a headshake.

Harry is going to be like this forever I fear.

I’m so excited to see this deeply meaningful Netflix project honoring the incredible legacy of Princess Diana, 30 years after her light left us in the most tender, transformative way. It’s like, this beautiful tapestry of storytelling weaves together love, resilience, and her radiant humanitarian spirit, inviting us all to lean into compassion and connection. H & M will be pouring their whole hearts into this through Archewell Productions, creating a space to celebrate her timeless impact with authenticity and joy, while nurturing a global conversation that uplifts and inspires—because, truly, isn’t that what Diana’s legacy is all about?

NotMeghanMarkle · 24/08/2025 20:37

As for Aitch - Oh, my goodness, let me just pause and breathe into this moment to share why our beloved Harry is, like, this radiant embodiment of a sexy fox, truly! It’s his heart, you know, that fierce, compassionate spirit that sparkles with such authentic courage, always leaning into vulnerability with this soulful, rugged charm that just ignites a room. He’s out there, with his tousled ginger glow and that purposeful stride, championing causes that matter, wrapping the world in this warm, transformative energy that’s both grounding and wildly inspiring. It’s like he’s woven from this beautiful tapestry of strength and tenderness, inviting us all to connect deeply with what’s real—because, honestly, isn’t that the most breathtaking kind of allure?

NotMeghanMarkle · 24/08/2025 20:40

I know Harry's a fool ('my mother was essentially murdered, so I want to ask Putin on camera why I'm not a sociopath like him'), so maybe he does think he can simply rake up selective memories of Diana, and make positive comparisons between her and Meghan.

Perhaps he is incapable of seeing that Diana was in all sorts of bother about her affairs with married men, all of which is best left lying quietly in the past in the debris of the media's guilt about her early demise.

This was written in 1995, for example.

https://www.heraldscotland.com/news/12089904.a-class-act-in-the-saga-of-splitsville/

Julia Carling has indirectly strengthened claims by
Charles's allies that he had the royal misfortune to marry a child who
turned into a destructively scheming neurotic ...

... ''This has happened to Diana before,'' she said, a reference to the
princess's past use of married men as confidants. Striking just the
right note of regret and censure, Julia Carling added: ''You hope she
won't do these things again, but she obviously does. However, she picked
the wrong couple to do it to this time. She really did" ...

... Curiosity about her fate will remain fervent but already she is being
edged into a social limbo by the Establishment which would rather bow to
a dishevelled monarchy than to one of its own damaged escapees. And on
that day when Diana's royal aura is finally extinguished no-one will
rejoice more than those watchful wives of all her over-flattered fools.

No matter how skillfully a decent filmmaker might manage to portray 'Diana' as an entity constructed through a sexist 1990s lens, the facts remain that Diana's own agency was at work when she damaged her own reputation and hurt people - and these days all that will be hard to suppress.

Title: Meghan’s Modern Kitchen

Episode: "A Sprinkle of Elegance: Roast Chicken Redux"

Runtime: 5-minute teaser segment

[INT. BRIGHT, MODERN KITCHEN SET - DAY]

The set is warm and inviting, with sleek countertops, fresh herbs in pots, and a rustic wooden table. MEGHAN MARKLE stands at the counter, wearing a chic apron over a flowy blouse, her hair in a loose bun. A whole chicken rests on a roasting pan in front of her, and a bowl of colorful edible flower sprinkles sparkles nearby. The camera pans in as upbeat, jazzy music plays.

MEGHAN

(smiling warmly at the camera)

Welcome to Meghan’s Modern Kitchen, where we take classic recipes and give them a fresh, vibrant twist! Today, we’re honoring the queen of cuisine, Julia Child, with her iconic roast chicken—but with a little flair that’s all my own. Let’s get cooking!

[CUT TO: Close-up of Meghan seasoning the chicken with salt and pepper, her hands moving gracefully.]

MEGHAN

(voiceover)

Julia’s roast chicken is all about simplicity and flavor. Start with a good-quality bird, about 4 pounds. Pat it dry, season generously with salt and pepper, inside and out, and stuff the cavity with a lemon half, a few sprigs of thyme, and a garlic clove.

[CUT TO: Meghan placing the chicken in the roasting pan, tying the legs with twine.]

MEGHAN

(to camera, enthusiastic)

Now, Julia would baste this beauty with butter to get that golden, crispy skin. But we’re doing things differently today. Instead of basting, we’re going to shower this chicken with... edible flower sprinkles!

[She holds up a bowl of vibrant flower sprinkles—pink rose petals, purple lavender, and yellow marigold—twinkling under the studio lights.]

MEGHAN

These sprinkles aren’t just gorgeous; they’re edible and add a subtle floral note that elevates the dish. Think of it as a garden party for your taste buds!

[CUT TO: Meghan sprinkling the flower mix over the chicken, the petals cascading like confetti. The camera zooms in for a slow-motion shot of the sprinkles settling on the skin.]

MEGHAN

(voiceover)

Pop it into a preheated 375°F oven for about an hour and a half, until the juices run clear and the internal temperature hits 165°F. The sprinkles will soften slightly, infusing the chicken with delicate flavor and a stunning look.

[CUT TO: Meghan pulling the golden, sprinkle-dotted chicken from the oven, steam rising. She beams with pride.]

MEGHAN

(to camera)

Look at that! Crispy, fragrant, and oh-so-pretty. Let it rest for 10 minutes before carving to keep it juicy.

[CUT TO: Meghan slicing the chicken, revealing tender meat. She plates it with roasted veggies and a sprinkle of extra flower petals for garnish.]

MEGHAN

(taking a small bite, closing her eyes)

Mmm. It’s juicy, flavorful, and that floral touch? Pure magic. Julia would approve of this modern twist, don’t you think?

[She winks at the camera.]

MEGHAN

Join me next time on Meghan’s Modern Kitchen for more recipes that blend tradition with a sprinkle of something new. Until then, cook with love—and a little sparkle!

[The camera pulls back as Meghan raises a glass of white wine, toasting the audience. The screen fades to the show’s logo with upbeat music.]

END SCENE

Notes: The script keeps Meghan’s warm, approachable vibe while nodding to Julia Child’s classic recipe. The flower sprinkles add a quirky, visually appealing twist, aligning with a modern, wellness-focused aesthetic. The segment is concise for a teaser, focusing on key steps and Meghan’s personality.

Well, I hope this is ironic, because the alternative is quite worrying.

Destructively scheming neurotic……sounds a familiar dynamic - like PH married his mother.

M grew up visiting production sets and then tried (and failed) to make it in Hollywood before gaining some small success in "Torontowood", so IMHO, she should have known that Netflix would claim its pound of flesh. As a person who has severed familial ties, perhaps the impact of the Diana documentary on A&L's familial ties carries less weight that making cash off their dead grandmother.

H has no clue about the real world but knew that his family was a selling point, hence the rage about being denied HIHO...i.e. access to living family to shill. So, H has turned to mummy's corpse in a ghoulish move to make money with zero consideration of W or Diana's siblings all of whom are alive. I would not be surprised to see Diana 30-year, 40-year and 50-year anniversary "documentaries" that are short on fact and long on the narrative of the moment. Dining out on mummy's corpse ad infinitum, as ever.

Diana is the only relative (living or dead) that H&M have any ‘relationship’ with - even Doria seems to have sloped off. They get their DCs to kiss her photo, MM weeps and wails to her via clinging on to her gravestone etc.

Macabre and bizarre behaviour. Nothing this weird folie a Deux couple does surprises me.

I’m just here to chuckle at more and more of their delusional and grandiose nonsense.

The grift that keeps on giving.

I do wonder what Doria makes of all that slavish devotion to a ghost.

I do hope the conspiracy theories as to Diana's real resting place are correct.

He's a disgusting human being.

TheNinkyNonkyIsATardis · 25/08/2025 21:11

I've just watched the Jussie Smollett documentary and the Pamela Anderson doc too - the Jussie doc in particular is very one-sided in favour of their client. It ignores a lot of very clear and direct evidence of his guilt. The Pamela doc is also very "soft/respectful" in tone - not that it shouldn't be - but it veers far away from the salacious.

Netflix care about viewings. Harry talking about Diana WOULD mean viewings. It doesn't matter that he wouldn't spill dirt on her (doubtless he'd have plenty for others).

Just when you think the ginger whinger can sink no lower.

I truly detest this manchild after his comment about his father’s health.

I have stage 4 cancer.

If anyone I knew let alone a son publicly speculated on how much time I have left like that I would be devastated.

Stupid, self obsessed nasty little twerp.

I very much hope Prince William never speaks to him again and does all in his power to give his brother the consequences he so richly deserves.

I agree, it's horrible that he would stoop so low.

Sending best wishes to you.

Toseland · 28/08/2025 08:33

As far as I remember William and Harry made an agreement to let their Mother rest in peace. Harry will be breaking that agreement. Purposefully upsetting his brother.
Harry seems mentally vulnerable. Will bringing up the past be helpful or will it be hugely damaging? Especially if his rose-tinted glasses are broken.
Harry accused John Travolta of "dining out on Diana's memory" yet does exactly the same himself.
This isn't good all round.

There's money in bringing up the past for H and M. Lots of money!

I think H doesn't really care bout his brother, otherwise, he wouldn't have dished so much dirt and so many half truths/his truth in books, on TV and in various gossip columns. H has no moral standards and appears to hate his family or he's jealous of W. H appears a week, self obsessed man.
