There have been rumours about a 30th anniversary documentary for some time but it is now looking more likely according to this report.
Seriously , what else is there to say about the woman ?
It seems so distasteful that H is - again- using his late mother to make money .
Any reconciliation with the RF will be stopped in its tracks if this goes ahead .

Harry and Meghan 'line up Princess Diana doc' in new Netflix deal

The streaming giant is understood to be in discussions with the couple about the programme which would mark 30 years since Diana's death in a car crash in 1997.

There's so much utter crap out there . I present this image set with real pigeon feathers which was allegedly available to buy on e Bay.

I think Meghan should get that for Harry - it flatters him enormously.

It was announced in the early hours. I was up at 5/6 am UK time (can’t remember exactly) and it had been announced already. The boys were sleeping in their beds at that point, I would imagine and it’s not like today when they might have seen the news on their phones. It would have been impossible to keep a lid on the news for long, especially that Diana had been taken to a hospital in a foreign country. It would have been leaked if it hadn’t been announced.

Real feathers, you say?
It actually is quite good for the genre, ie weird fan art.

William looks like Edward here, I think the artist has got confused!

When my dh died, our 3 eldest dc were with me in the hospital. The youngest one, who was 12, had been at a friend's house for a sleepover. We didn't tell him until later that morning.

I have wondered since if it was the right decision not to collect him from his friend's but, at the time, I thought it was the best and right thing to do. Dh died in pretty distressing circumstances, and youngest ds, being the baby of the family by 7 years, was a young 12. On balance, I think it was the right decision and he's turned out well so 🤷‍♀️! As previous posters have said, we all do it differently.

I'm sorry for your loss, @Chairity 💐.
That's tough, and when you're in a situation like that, it's difficult to know what to do for the best.
He's turned out well, so he's obviously a credit to you.

chunkybear · 02/09/2025 17:41

@Chairity - so sorry for your loss. FWIW, as a stranger behind a keyboard, I think you did the right thing, having a DS13 who is a young 13 year old I’d definitely have done the same - hugs

Chairity · 02/09/2025 17:44

Thank you both for your kind words. It was 8 years ago now so the grief, while always there, is bearable now (most days!)

💕 for when it's not

I think it's almost impossible to find the perfect way to tell a child such devastating news. It so depends on the circumstances and the child and you'll never know if you got it quite right.
Fortunately, most of us have never had to do that. We are fortunate indeed.

It reminds me of that pigeon dress that Meghan wore - think Australia 😂

She probably has as I've been unable to track it down on E Bay 😳

Ah, yes. Popular with the fans, I think.

It doesn't have to be be information for people to watch. The novelty will be Harry's involvement. Isn't he on record as saying he has few memories of his mother? Bet that fact doesn't get a look in.

They spent a lot of time apart according to Paul Burrell. H has nit disputed his comments about this.

"PAUL BURRELL butler from 1987 to 1997, said Princess Diana only had two weeks each summer with her sons. He revealed that the last summer of her life, Princess Diana spent two weeks with her sons in the Mediterranean before bringing them back to Balmoral.15 Jul 2025"

Apart from Burrell being an attention seeking nutcase surely that's because she had to share custody with Charles? Fergie wasn't even allowed to see her children at Christmas because Phil didnt like her
