Looks like William took George and Charlotte to see Taylor Swift for his birthday. Looks like Taylor was just as happy to meet them as they were to meet her.

Especially the last week or so.

People seem to be bringing their kids up very differently to how I was brought up or to how I would do it, but I wasn't fortunate enough to have children.

IDK about you but swearing was discouraged and the stuff we would watch would be quite age appropriate in terms of the themes. I would've brought my kids up the same too. Why do they need to be hearing stuff condoned and discussed in a positive light, that you wouldn't want to be normalised as behaviour for them at this time?

I even feel guilty enjoying that music myself.

Not just the royals, any TS coverage is a little upsetting, as stated in my post.

So there was a comment a while back in the thread about wanting to discuss the monarchy. The poster felt they couldn't discuss it when the Queen died etc

I would be interested in a discussion about the place of a constitutional monarchy in the 21st century and how it all works etc. But no one ever actually starts a separate thread.

Maybe someone who has posted here and wants to discuss the monarchy in general could? Not photo quality or the kids etc but a thread about the institution.

Charles likewise from the equally financially opaque Duchy of Lancaster. Let's not forget TLQ managed to claim the nation's seabeds as her own asset in that capacity.

If we're funding an unelected HoS surely a basic requirement should be complete transparency?

Anyways. Willy has longstanding form for dodging ducking in and out of 'duty'. Is attending a concert where the main performer (know little 'cos am old) seems to have an unrelenting penchant for displaying a sparkly camel toe now considered A. Child appropriate and B. If I were to post a pic of Kim Jong Un and his daughter at a concert and captioned it with 'cute pics of the great leader' or something, I can't then turn round and complain about people who would (rightly) post negative comments

Comparing the RF to Kim Il Jong is such a stretch it's probably that poster's exercise for the week. Interesting that that's the example they came up with, as well.

On a personal level I hope Charles and Kate recover from their illnesses and aren't in pain. I'm sure they will due to having the best private care that most people can't afford

Even the best of medicine can't always save us sadly if it's our time, but I hope they both recover ASAP.

i think it’s lovely he took his kids to a concert, they clearly were having a great time, they are allowed a personal life, to do normal things, and they have been through such a tough time due to their mums Illness, who the heck could begrudge them.

I personally can't be bothered! It just seemed to me that the people who want to discuss the monarchy would get better interaction if they started a thread about it rather than use one about a photo.

All I see is unbridled joy on a little girl's face. The sheer excitement of a child. A child whose mum has cancer. I cannot imagine feeling like those of you making horrible comments on here.

Yes, she has a reputation for being lovely and kind. Her music has fans of all ages and walks of life. It makes me laugh because I know some hard core music snobs that absolutely adore her. Even before she was mega famous.

People are jealous of the strangest things. Imagine feeling so jealous of a little girl going to a concert!

She's so relatable I root for her, even when Cruel Summer got back in the charts for the 3rd time or something, I was like, yay! even when she's already a billionaire or whatever. Apparently she has genuinely struggled with depression and anxiety in the past. So I hope her mental health goes well and I hope she finds a nice husband (if that's what she wants.)

It’s bizarre isn’t it, I’m sure they actually think the royals are sat on golden thrones all day being wafted by servants with fans and being fed grapes instead of the actual dull truth of them doing work on our elected governments orders.
