Harry's treatment of animals

Just saw the photo of Harry's bleeding polo pony on a different thread.

Why hasn't he been prosecuted for this animal abuse?

God knows. It’s sickening.

Corinthiana · 16/04/2024 07:23

That's because he gets away with everything. Has he ever taken responsibility or is it always someone else's fault?
If he was questioned about it he'd blame William or Kate. Or someone from Eton. Or his Grandmother's assistant.

Unfortunately polo is a cruel sport and very harsh on the horses. I’ve looked at buying an ex polo pony in the past and it’s joints, back and legs were very damaged from how it had been ridden. Spurs are used regularly and bleeding is something that will happen. It doesn’t show so much on a bay horse, but with the grey you can see the wounds.

Corinthiana · 16/04/2024 07:30

That's awful, @Crazeland , I think most people have no idea how cruel it is.

lunar1 · 16/04/2024 07:37

I had no idea what an awful sport it was 😢

SallyWD · 16/04/2024 07:58

I don't think the rest of the Royals are particularly kind to animals either. Charles and William have often played polo and they all go hunting. However let's focus on Harry as usual.

CrunchingOnSand · 16/04/2024 08:07

I agree its awful, going by the photos.
However most of the Royals should be called out - others play polo, take part in hunting etc.

Feel free to add contributions with info about others.

How much you damage the flanks of a polo pony depends on whether you wear spurs at all, and if you do what type.

I've yet to see a pic of Prince William on a bloodied pony, so suspect he uses the more rounded ones

CurlewKate · 16/04/2024 08:33

Polo is a cruel sport. Who knew....

Wait til I tell you about horse racing!

A relative took on a couple of ex polo ponies that were still quite young but could nl longer be ridden. She cared for them for years so at least they had a lovely retirement. They passed last year.

FYED · 16/04/2024 09:48

Anyone that plays polo is adding to animal abuse, not just Harry. William and Charles too, probably more.

Horse racing is cruel too, the last Queen loved that and many Royals attend the races.

Anne is obviously not in control of her dogs, they’ve attacked children and other dogs in the past.

The guards wear bear skin hats

Lots of the Royals hunt.

Bunch of cunts who couldn’t give a fuck about animal welfare.

CormorantStrikesBack · 16/04/2024 09:50

He kills stags, shoots birds, is cruel to horses but bleats on about Rhinos, etc in Africa. Hypocrite. And William.

FYED · 16/04/2024 09:59

Edward was also investigated for animal abuse although lack of evidence meant he wasn’t prosecuted. There are photos of him threatening to hit his dogs with a walking stick when out shooting pheasants. Another cunt.

Yes of course William is kind to animals. I just did a quick Google search and there are dozens of articles about William hunting - birds, stags, wild boar. You name it, William has killed them for fun. He's no better than Harry.

CurlewKate · 16/04/2024 10:07

Not specific to Harry, this one. Incidentally, although I agree with most examples, shooting stags is not necessarily cruel.

WarshipRocinante · 16/04/2024 10:07

None of the royals come out well when you look at how they treat animals in regards to the sports they all enjoy. Not just Harry. They’re all pretty awful.

If numbers need to be controlled, leave it to the experts. Royals and other cunts doing it for fun isn’t ok. When non experts do it for fun, the animals are more likely to suffer.

CurlewKate · 16/04/2024 10:17

@FYED I suspect someone who has been shooting since childhood and taught by experts could probably be classed as an expert. Not my choice of activity. But not cruel. Unlike horse racing. For example.

LivingInChesapeakeShores · 16/04/2024 10:19

Its not just Harry, the Royals as a whole treat animals badly as has been highlighted in this thread. Awful people who need to be got rid of.
