Part 4 of a nice, unproblematic thread to discuss some of the fab outfits from the Duchess of Sussex, and some of the many great causes she (and Harry) and Archewell supports.

Another picture of everyone with Dr Sophie Chandauka being in the middle as she absolutely should have been as the chair.

Yes, exactly. In between the two teams and centre stage.

Thank you for giving Dr. Chandauka the respect of actually referring to her by her name.

IsoldeWagner · 14/04/2024 06:25

I agree,. It would have been nice to let Dr Sophie Chandauka present the trophy.
A woman from Zimbabwe who, through her own endeavours has become a research scientist and business woman. Her MBE was for Diversity in Business, having founded the Black British Business Awards.

skullbabe · 14/04/2024 06:46

As I said yesterday - the links did actually have information about who was on the podium if people had cared to read them with interest about the event not solely as means to find something to criticise. But thems the breaks.

skullbabe · 14/04/2024 06:46

Meghan and Delphine more relaxed

I agree, Dr Chandauka should have been presenting the trophy and clearly wanted to at least stand next to Harry for the photographs, which is understandable. Actually, if the photo is cropped down (as they more often than not are), it will be Meghan at the centre, not Dr Chandauka.

I liked the top half of the polo outfit, didn't like the bottom half as much, and not sure about the bow at the back. Shoes were lovely, just think wedges would have been more appropriate for the setting. (I think I must be the only one who doesn't think she suits flat's - certainly not the flats she wears).

Hair and makeup perfect.

PigglyWigglyOhYeah · 14/04/2024 09:42

It's unclear to me why the highly respected and accomplished chair of the organisation that the polo match was played to raise money for wasn't presenting the trophy. Why is the wife of one of the players doing this instead?

Harry and Nacho look happy together, that's nice.

Yeah, I tell you! Harry's got "I'm just soooooooo miserable, I really would much rather be in the UK sunshine performing royal duties for the RF" written all over his face! LOL 😆

TallerSally · 14/04/2024 10:06

skullbabe · 14/04/2024 00:46

Nice picture of the podium - I think Meghan's
insistence that Sophie be the centre of the picture as the chair as opposed to the Harry’s right side as she was trying to go was a good one - Sophie is front and centre in the pictures this way. But what do I know.

Edited

Love this pic! Was there a memo about ladies wearing white to da polo?😆

I'm pretty certain that he wouldn't much rather he performing official royal duties back in the UK.
It's well documented how much he struggled with much of that.

I agree.

There was plenty of opportunity for Meghan to shine.

Hogging the limelight, and making sure one is centre stage is wearisome. And not really appropriate in the circumstances.

Royals understand this.

I'm 100% agreeing with you! 😂

The British press are full of sit about how Harry desperately begging to return to the UK pick up scraps off the RF's tables, which is obv total BS, so I thought I'd make a little Sunday dig and take the proverbial pss...

I'm lovin'it! 😎

TallerSally · 14/04/2024 10:11

Oh well, I tried (editing last post) 😂

I have seen reports that he wanted to return to the UK to perform some duties, but I'd take that with a pinch of salt.
He really found official duties and tours something of a challenge, as he recounts in Spare. It's really not a life for him.

Who the hell gives a toss??

I assume Sentebale and Dr Chanduaka, the effective host or special guest of honour at the event, would “give a toss”. The moment was incredibly awkward and completely unnecessary. Even Meghan Fan Rag Page 6 described it as so. All Meghan needed to do was to gracefully step out of the way and/or Harry should have been welcoming to Dr C and untangled himself from his wife for a moment to allow her to stand with him on his right hand side with the trophy for the publicity shots needed for Sentebale’s own publicity. Meghan and Harry had already got their money shot of them kissing at that point. There was no need to make things awkward for her.

Are you kidding? I absolutely LOVE that Meghan did that! It was just perfect and the right thing to do. 100%

Mymilkshakebringsallthepapstomycar · 14/04/2024 10:21

Well good for you. To me it was crass and rude.

ArcaneWireless · 14/04/2024 10:23

Money shot?

Aye. Plenty of them ower the years.

Mymilkshakebringsallthepapstomycar · 14/04/2024 10:26

And as I pointed out above, Meghan will be front and centre in any cropped photo of that moment with Dr C.

LumiB · 14/04/2024 10:48

I watched the video, Sentebale was standing infront of Harry not next to him with her side and part of her back to the camera it's an awkward position a way. There qas gap between Meghan and the other lady who she was gesturing to move closer to fill the gap she then seems to say something and gesture to Sentebale to fill the gap, the other woman also gesture too.

Not sure why Megahn is getting all the falck when the other woman was also using her hand to indicate the gap.

It meant Sentebale was then facing forward to the camera.

Having done group pics before there's always the odd bit of move here, come over here comments. Hardly indicative of someone wanting to steal limelight.

you love that Meghan told the woman who is the Chair of Sentebale to move so she didn’t get between her and Harry? Making a fuss on the podium to take control of the positioning was just perfect and 100% the right thing to do? 🤔

Sentebale is an organisation, not a person!

Each to their own. I thought it was 100% the right thing to do.

And frankly, it's completely and utterly irrelevant in the grand scheme of things.

It was a fantastic event, all those there seemed to be enjoying themselves, the pics look lovely, no-one involved has complained about Meghan or Harry, so it's all absolutely fricken' good!

Well done all around!

More please, Meghan, Harry, Nacho, Dr Chanduaka and Sentebale!!!!!!!!!!! 😍😍😍😍😍

Completely agree . And why was Meghan right in the centre ( 6 people on either side ) ?
