I only got round to reading it on hols this week. Most of I knew already, but I was shocked at Harry's description of William. I always thought they were close. He is very nasty about William in the book. What were your thoughts?

This is what I think. Harry is a spoilt, pampered member of a family who live where no one says 'no to them. He appears to have a persecution complex and is the one who has done the main trashing of his family, or telling of 'his' truth about his oown family. Meghan just seems to have listened to his 'Poor me' narrative and gone all Californian, enabled him massively and is not only now stuck with a man child, but is being trashed way over and above reason for being a bit OTT in a Californian actress way (which is who she is). He has been the one who has trashed his family, yet its all her fault according to a lot of people.

the issue was Harry was very popular as a royal, and then he got with Megan and the behaviour publicly and very quickly changed, he was attacking his family, wanting to hang with a listers, demanding he got given money and stuff, and so people said what’s different, what’s changed ,oh it’s Megan. So they blamed her.

but the world moved on and he’s blamed for his own actions. And very disliked by the public for it.

she did though massively enable him clearly, which quite frankly was idiotic, and she’s also paid a hefty price for it, she’s just so out of her depth and also deeply disliked.

i honestly think they are both simply not very clever, a bit thick. and out of their depth.

I think maybe you're right, because people have seen him grow up, and probably swallowed all the PR about cheeky fun Harry. I suspect he didn't really change. It was just that he took for granted the smokescreen that being a member of the RF gave him and wanted more. Meghan is not stupid, she's probably more intellectually accomplished than the rest of the Royals but she is definitely out of her depth and has some sort of saviourcomplex ?( re Harry and maybe at the start, the Royals) . That is possibly because she didn't really spend a lot of time with Harry and his family before they got engaged and he hadn't told her the reality, either because he didn't think it was worth mentioning or he was terrified she'd run a mile

interesting theory, you’re basically calling her a gold digger. Funny how you started this thread throwing shade at Meghan, almost like you wanted a pile on, and then your commmets start becoming more neutral and complimentary as it progressed…wonder why 😉

i am also not sure I think Megan’s issue is she has a saviour complex. I think she thought he was the fast track route to global fame, hence the a lister presence at the wedding. We can safely assume that wasn’t Harry;s bag.

i don’t rate her intellect at all, even I as a lay person could see the stupidity and reaction they would get from the stuff they’d done, from the lying about being married the day before, the mock courtesy shit on.

both of them lack intellect. There is no way round it. If at least one of them was even average smart they’d not be in this situation , now desperately trying to rescue their images and leveraging charitable causes to do so.

we all watched Megan spout her shite in the interviews. We all know about rhe a list nonsense, the fake Spotify podcasts, how difficult they are to work with, the accusations of bullying of royal staff, the burying of the findings in the report.
