Two different posters, two differs assertions of what’s going on in the papers right now. Can you pick a lane maybe? Are the press being silenced by the Palace or are they not? Because it looks a bit like you’re saying whatever suits you, currently.

Of course there will be two camps when it comes to opinions on the approach. I’ve always respected a dignified silence.

But it wouldn’t. The statement already released, saying she knows this will generate interest, she’ll be back after Easter, etc, hasn’t quelled nonsense rumours. A new thank you statement will satisfy the 24/7 internet content machine for a day or so, then it’ll be, “but if she’s well enough for a statement what about a picture?” and “when’s the next statement?” She was also poorly enough to need surgery and a two-week hospital stay with a protracted recovery time; who’s to say whatever is going on with her isn’t a one-off? If she now has long-term health issues, it makes sense to hold the line: one statement for each medical absence, follow the plan to the letter. Otherwise it opens a door to endless updates and demands each and every time she’s ever ill again. I wouldn’t be her for all the ill-gotten royal wealth in the world.

More like a “you’re welcome” statement for bringing interest into your lives by giving you something to think about.

If the theories/speculation die down, they have played it well.
