Meghan is a sweet and kind lady.
Wherever the RF do "charity" "work" they don't donate money. In stead they go there in clothes, cars paid for by tax payers with staff paid for by staff payers to cut a ribbon.
Even the builders, architects and people who will work in the building do much more and actual work than the RF yet they must be hallowed for it otherwise their followers blindly wail at the thought of them being criticised.

The recent headline that social housing will be built on RF land for example is a case of the more you look the less you see.

William says his life's work is to end homelessness and takes an annual photo with a man portrayed to be homeless. He doesn't donate his money to actually build anything. This recent report is for a minute amount; 20 or so units.
In fact this is a planning requirement to build a certain percentage of social housing in every new development.
1 for every 9 or so.

Congratulations to Mayhew and God bless Meghan.
Even though the RF and BM hate her and use the press against her to deflect from those who must not be criticised she has kindness flowing through her and has donated her own money to a charity in the UK.

PS don't buy a pet if you can't keep them and try to find a home for them if circumstances change.

But why can't you just praise Meghan without making it a competition?

Thegreengreengrassofhomes · 23/02/2024 11:34

What a strange post, it reads like something written by a PR intern

Dolma · 23/02/2024 11:34

The donation has been made through the Archewell Foundation, it's not Meghan's private funds. And the vast majority of the Archewell Foundation's money appears to have come from a donation from Tyler Perry. So maybe it's Tyler Perry that has kindness flowing through his veins.

Overtheatlantic · 23/02/2024 11:38

Hmmm…I’m a fan of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex but this isn’t going to end well, OP. Or are you aware of that and stoking the fire?

LeavesOnTrees · 23/02/2024 11:42

Methinks this a bit over the top.
You write like she's the second coming of Christ.

At least the poor little cutey animals will benefit.

Kinneddar · 23/02/2024 11:43

I'm assuming this is tongue in cheek because otherwise it sounds as if it comes direct from the Archewell office.

And as pp said the money didn't come from DoS money it came from the foundations - big difference

The charity clearly state the donation was by Meghan.

Expectedly the BM who are usually all over her every move are silent on this.
Kate has never given any of her money to any charity, but she's "working hard".

At the Archewell offices 😂

Doesn't it? "Meghan is a sweet and kind lady". "God bless Meghan".
Jesus.

She's obviously well loved by many and it rubs you the wrong way so stay away!

I’m pleased that Mayhew were able to open their wing honouring Oli and I’m sure that they were happy with the donation and the speech by Meghan.

What I’m not sure of is what is to be gained by this post pitching this as part of the Windsor Wars. Surely you can see how inflammatory and incendiary your post is now to the people who will use this opportunity to rip apart her very existence by pitting her against members of the RF that she left. It happened already in a similar thread last week about William and it’s going to happen in this one.

Haha I'm sure she is.

Your opening post made me smile.
I find the whole saint Meghan, evil Royal Family narrative absurd but entertaining at the same time.

Maybe someone should do a musical on it.

Cornettoninja · 23/02/2024 11:50

You diminish her act of charity by seeking to diminish others by comparison. I don’t think she really needs people like you in her corner if I’m honest.

AttaThat · 23/02/2024 11:52

Kate has never given any of her money to any charity

Well, she’s never done a speech and a press release about giving money to charity…

Pmsl. Behave yourself.

you knew exactly what you were writing and it was written to provoke. You’re not good enough to hide the transparency.

skullbabe · 23/02/2024 11:54

Or are you aware of that and stoking the fire?

Seems to be the point. See what’s already starting to happen.

CoffeeCantata · 23/02/2024 11:55

Good for her. I'm an animal lover, so what's not to like?

But the tone of your post is ridiculous!

Kinneddar · 23/02/2024 11:56

Kate has never given any of her money to any charity

No, Kate has never made a song & dance & publicly patted herself on the back for making a charitable donation. People with money & class are far more likely to make private donations than issue a media statement about it

Dolma · 23/02/2024 12:13

It's in your own screenshot - the donation was made through the Archewell Foundation.

Kate has never given any of her money to any charity, but she's "working hard".

How is Meghan making a donation through the Archewell Foundation different to Kate making a donation through the Royal Foundation (which spends £15m a year on charitable endeavours)?

SilkFloss · 23/02/2024 12:15

OP, I think you're embarrassing yourself on here as you clearly don't understand how these things work.

Back in your box, I think.

Overtheatlantic · 23/02/2024 12:26

I thought half term was last week?

shockthemonkey · 23/02/2024 12:27

Why so gushy, Strawberries? You just sound a little over the top, manic even.

What is the meaning of the comment to the left of your attached image, all that talk about "peasant societies" and "ribbons" and "making dirt fly"? Is "making dirt fly" a good thing in this context, or a bad thing? Who is "that family"?

As PPs have pointed out, it would likely be more accurate to thank Tyler Perry for Meghan's largesse.

Spectre8 · 23/02/2024 12:32

Not to derail but some of the comments make me wonder doe seat even have her own money? She hasn't worked in a job and amassed her own money.... and anything she recices vaintoyal family is ultimately traced back to tax payers.

Interesting though

Vespanest · 23/02/2024 13:02

How to spoil charity work by spending more time spewing vitriol. Why do that?
