God I haven't listened to Katy Perry's music since my uni clubbing days when she was really popular

Since ds flew the nest, dh has been nagging me to go to jazz concerts. Not on your nelly! Though I suppose if Celine Dion were in the same row I could shift myself. However Harry is not me and has probably met all these stars before. Perhaps bringing Harry gets Meghan a better seat.

We are the same, we are flying to Vegas next April to watch Garth Brooks as we both love him but I can guarantee I’ll be there embarrassing him and on the verge of full Texan line dancing and he will be sat there looking bored to death ( whilst secretly loving it but not admitting to it ! There might be the occasional foot tap but who knows 😆)

I have some American m cowboy boots and a checked shirt, hubby said he refuses to sit with me if I wear them! Rude if you ask me 😆

I have to say it's quite fascinating to watch M&H carrying on doing their thang, seemingly oblivious to the raging hatred towards them in a (very) small part of the world, mostly Britain and the British/US/Murdoch tabloid press. It's even more fascinating to see how well received M&H are wherever they go, from Invictus to the Katy Perry concert (where people stood up and started cheering when they walked in) to events like this.

M&H haters truly live in a parallel echo-chamber universe.

As has been said repeatedly the success of the IG is due to respect for the vets and those currently serving. I bet even Piers Morgan would get a standing ovation at an IG event.

Why do American veterans need to focus on a woman who didn’t serve and a UK soldier who barely left the bunker during his tours of duty? Think of all those American servicemen and women who should be the ones being feted and given centre stage, column inches, and the honour of being allowed to open this facility. I find it so bizarre. Surely a decent person would give way to someone more worthy and relevant?

No it isn't environmentally friendly at all but Harold is a vip who excels in being tone deaf so we shouldn't expect anything less.

Agree. Also why does she always herd and physically prompt him? As though he has never appeared in public before. It would drive me insane if someone kept doing that to me. If a man was constantly physically manoeuvring his wife about like that we'd be wondering if he was controlling and why he couldn't leave her alone to get around under her own steam.

Yes its a bizarre dynamic like ushering a small child about. Nothing natural about either of them, they always seem so awkward with those perma rictus grins.

Actually, in defence of them, I keep reading criticism of them wearing poppies and how this is inappropriate as they’re in the US, which is irritating me. Why shouldn’t they? They’re both UK citizens aren’t they? And “H” is a veteran and served for a very respectable length of time. Of course they’re entitled to wear a poppy and I respect them for doing so.

Clearly a topic Harry is very dedicated to, and the folks LOVE him. Lovely photos of the crowds smiling, hugging Meg and taking pics. Just like at Invictus...
