LaMarschallin in a response to my post, you put m&h in a group with Trump who you called ‘scarey’, but not in a group with Taylor swift who is both ‘attractive and admired.’
No, I didn't.
I said:
What I hear from them is that the "well known people" that are represented in fancy dress are those such as Trump - certainly in keeping with the "scary" idea of Halloween and Trick or Treating - rather than, say, Taylor Swift or someone else attractive and admired.
I'd said that I didn't know people dressed up as celebrities to compliment them, hence making the comparison above.
I also said:
Having said that, I've no idea whether people dressed up as Meghan and Harry or not. If they did, no doubt it was meant as a compliment to them.
I didn't call them "scary" or put them in a group with Trump.
I then supplied an article about people dressing up as Taylor Swift, but no response from you about that.
I haven't been back to this thread until now - I don't usually spend that much time on MN.
Why should I "respond" anyway? It's a bit of chit chat on an internet forum posted by an anonymous person, not an text from a friend or something. I didn't have anything to say and, tbh, didn't take that much notice. I hadn't asked you to go hunting up articles on fancy dress and I wouldn't have "responded" at all if you hadn't gone on to complain that I hadn't.
There’s nothing wrong with my skin nor my comprehension, and tone reading skills.
My remark about thin skin didn't refer specifically to you. I said:
I appreciate skins on here can be extremely thin and I tried hard not to offend.
I said nothing about your comprehension or "tone reading skills".
I'm wondering a little about them now though 🤷♀️
Please don't be disappointed if you reply to this (although, really no reply needed) and I don't get back to you in a few hours.
Goodness knows when I'll pass by this thread again and I turned my @ notifications off some time ago.
If I'm interested in what someone has to say, I'll generally go back to look.
