Just a nice, unproblematic thread to discuss some of the Princess of Wales' fab outfits and some of the many great causes she supports.

I absolutely love this green suit, which she wore on Tuesday in Leeds

Princess Kate's affordable chunky gold necklace is the ultimate cool-girl accessory

The Princess of Wales rocked a piece by New York-based jewellery label Laura Lombardi that's perfect for for everyday

It's a nice photo - not particularly "Christmassy" but none of the RF Christmas card photos are.

I had a thought while I was reading the other thread and the criticisms of it - this is the distillation of the whole relationship between the RF and the GBP. We allow them to live in the castles and wear the Crown's etc and we get to nitpick about their clothes, behaviour, Christmas cards etc. That's their job and this is ours.

We put them on the pedestal and we get to criticise and they have to take it. The ones who cope better in the RF are the ones who understand the dynamic between us. <Sunday morning thoughts>

@MrsFinkelstein

Very wise words! I agree

I don't like the arty-black and white shot! Harry & Meghan have released lots in black and white. Albeit if it was their card, we'd only see Archie's foot and Lili's hand or somesuch and and H&M would be standing with their backs to us like they have previously.

Not sure why but the YouTube link I posted seems to automatically starts at 1:28…Just to make you all aware 🙂

That is a lovely video. 1500 of the gift bags! It's a great charity, but it's also sad how much it is needed.

Catherine's jumper looks cosy.

FluffyCatBonzo · 11/12/2023 18:14

The charity also said how much attention they had received after Kate's original visit so yes a simple visit can drum up much needed publicity. This visit was a follow up to what she had said she would do - bring the children. I love how the volunteers are just speaking to the children as if they are just ordinary children iykwim. 😊

pinkmont · 11/12/2023 22:36

The video is wonderful, the 3 kids are so enthusiastic, it's really cute and heartwarming. I love Charlotte's 'oh la la'.

ThePoshUns · 12/12/2023 00:14

I love how Catherine and Charlotte are folding the clothes and Louis just chucks a jumper on the table.

pilates · 12/12/2023 05:52

lovely video - George suddenly looks grown up.

rosyglowcondition · 12/12/2023 09:29

Great video and great charity. Catherine looks lovely in that simple jumper and skinny Jean combo. The kids as always are gorgeous. Our local church does something similar.

Alohapotato · 13/12/2023 15:00

Lovely video

Samcro · 13/12/2023 21:32

It’s scary how quickly the children are growing up. Lovey children

garlicandsapphires · 14/12/2023 08:27

Does anyone know what boots Kate is wearing in the recent video? I like them.

pilates · 14/12/2023 08:37

Yes Samcro that must of given that lovely lady such a boost.

They are apparently the See by Chloe boots, according to one of the nice fan blogs.

I gave a donation after seeing that video.
I didn't know about this walk despite the family being local
So it does work when the Royals get involved.

ALittleTeawithmilk · 14/12/2023 09:00

@skullbabe That was a fun moment, and such a surprise for the charity walker. 😀

i know this thread is about kate. but this is lovely of William

I thought this was lovely and so genuine too.

IMO this is exactly what the RF should be doing - highlighting these small, very little known charities & fundraisers. It also links back so well to their established links (like Heads Together and all the all mental health charities they've worked with).

Using their massive spotlight to bring attention to these causes is exactly right, and in such a relatable way.

Same as with Catherine and the baby banks. My mum was chatting to me about seeing Catherine and the children's visit on the news and how she was planning to hand in donations to a similar scheme our GPs surgery is promoting, and telling all her friends about it too.

Mylovelygreendress · 14/12/2023 09:51

Our local coffee shop has started something similar as a result of Catherine’s visit.

YetMoreNewBeginnings · 14/12/2023 10:31

Baby banks (and uniform banks) are such a good thing for them to be highlighting.

They’re so valuable and people who are, understandably, not wanting to feel like a charity case can be helped by the fact that it’s also a really good idea environmentally for baby clothes - which are often barely used - to be recycled as much as possible.

The baby and uniform bank here has seen their referrals more than quadruple in the last few years.
