Just a nice, unproblematic thread to discuss some of the Princess of Wales' fab outfits and some of the many great causes she supports.

I regularly post on that other thread and don't think it's "the cliquiest thread on MN".
The one rule is that comments are about the fashion / style and not about the person. Which is fair enough though I do occasionally cross the line---- Blush

Me too. I thought the red cape Kate wore the other day was dire. So I said it. And it was nice not to be jumped on and think folk can have different opinions.

Does anyone recognise which tiara the Duchess of Edinburgh is wearing? The only pic I've seen, there was someone else in shot so I couldn't get a good look. I think it's the one with the enormous gem centre front - is it the aquamarine one she's worn before? Or has she had an upgrade since becoming a duchess?

After a bit of googling it's the Wessex ultramarine necklace tiara which made its debut in 2005. So quite modern. And can convert into a pendant and earrings. Somehow.

Do you mean the one with the bow? I think that's probably the worst thing I've ever seen her wear. It made me think of some of the outfits her late mother in law wore in the early 80s.

I liked the 40's vibe the red cape outfit had, but it seemed to big for her almost. It was not my favorite look of hers.

The white gown and that tiara was amazeballs!

Yes I did mean the one with the bow. I agree it was one of her very worst outfits. I didn't think the colour suited her. Whereas that green blazer suited her colouring perfectly.

Yes, it is. My mother 'didn't like blue' so even now I like any of them in navy or powder blue but I really don't like 'Royal' blue. 🙂

Yes I also noticed the support that her husband openly showed of holding her hand and being tactile in a very visible and right manner. Good on them both.
