Just a nice, unproblematic thread to discuss some of the Princess of Wales' fab outfits and some of the many great causes she supports.

I absolutely love this green suit, which she wore on Tuesday in Leeds

I wish she wore the dress without the shrug/cape. The shape of it looks nice but the outfit is ruined with the baggy gloves and cape.

Kate and her shoulder pads smh. Her shoulders could slice someone.

I do think Camilla has a great colourist. (I’m so over having grey hair, and would get it coloured a light coloured blonde in an instant if I had access to a known good colourist).

I love that red velvet dress on her.

I loved her outfit today, I love it when she tries something different.

I also love her dress this evening with the dramatic shoulder pads. Love love love. and the tiara too, very delicate (she seems to favour light weight tiaras...apparently they can be heavy and uncomfortable) Cam on the other hand seems to manage with the heavier bejewelled tiaras.

Does anyone recognise which tiara the Duchess of Edinburgh is wearing? The only pic I've seen, there was someone else in shot so I couldn't get a good look. I think it's the one with the enormous gem centre front - is it the aquamarine one she's worn before? Or has she had an upgrade since becoming a duchess?

I was trying to work out if the bow is an extra one on the cape or whether it is detachable and added to the outside and then back on the dress, or if it is pulled through the front of the cape.

If you look at this close up photo @wordler you can see the cape is cut to sit under/around the bow that’s actually on the coat worn below it. So Kate wore a lightweight red dress, worn under the red tailored coat with a big bow at the neck (that she also owns in black). And then she had a cape made to wear over them as an extra layer, presumably if it was chilly today.

If it is this one, the Court jeweller says it is known as the Wessex Aquamarine tiara. It is rather lovely on her.

It’s been pointed out by someone I now follow on tik tok that the embroidery on Kate’s dress pretty much matches the Strathmore Rose tiara. I’d need a clearer image of the embroidery but if it does match, this is an extremely well thought out evening outfit.

Kate looked lovely in the white evening gown and the tiara was very pretty

Am I allowed to ask on this thread what the flippers flip “lady” Cameron thought she was doing wearing opaque tights and a midi afternoon tea dress by Ceffin to a state banquet??? She’s not exactly new to this stuff. Her sister has the connections to pull in any number of loan gowns on an urgent request and her husband has the funds to buy them. Appreciate she had a late invite but… wtf??

Yes, white tie event (gentlemen in tails) so she really should have been in floor length. And she should know that stuff.

Cefinn not really suitable, though they do have a few dresses in opulent fabrics. They are mainly maxi-that-still-shows-your-feet rather than proper floor length, but would have done rather better than one that short. But most of their so-called "maxis" are really midi (in its proper sense of mid-calf, and with knee-length skirts wrongly described as midi, so a frustrating site to find what you want)

(Maybe she secretly hates all that stuff and is hoping to escape from most of it, and firmly intends to signal that at every opportunity!?)

I think Queen Camilla is the one who looks best in a tiara. That's not to criticise the others by the way, more a recognition that there's something about the way she carries them off - especially the huge ones - that is wonderful

I think Kate looks absolutely stunning in the red outfit. I love it.
I do notice that many of the RF look very strained and unhappy though.

I thought exactly the same thing . She looked totally out of place .

I actually think Camilla’s hair is more 1970s . Those of us old enough to remember the original Charlie’s Angels and the Farah Flicks ( yes I had them !!).
I remember reading somewhere that Charles loved her hair and asked her never to change it .

I think many of us would be having to turn out for a State dinner 😂instead of sitting at home with your feet up.

I didn't like the gloves with the dress on Kate. The sleeves were wrong. But I understand the practicality of the gloves.

I have to agree. It really was an awful dress for such an occasion and she looks way under dressed in it. She looked much the same at the wedding of Kate and William with no hat and open toe sandals etc.

It's odd as she has been seen wearing lovely clothes when he was PM but her evening wear choice here is way off beam.

Strange as she would have access and the funds to dress more for the occasion when required.

Perhaps SamCam dashed straight from a work meeting & didn't have time to change
