What next for Prince Harry & Meghan ?

I hope after the trauma & troubles of Harry that this is a new chapter and renaissance for him.

I can see Meghan and Harry hosting an annual ‘Met - style’ Gala/high brow event in Diana’s honour with a listers, red carpets and music performances. Donating the proceeds of the televised coverage to mental health research at a big Ivy League university or some other big cause & using the event and celebrity power to end the stigma

I can see Harry abs Meghan doing what they’ve done with Invictus - something really substantial that makes a huge difference.

I don’t truly know what exactly the Royal do and I read royal news - I know Kate does early years etc but not what they’re doing beyond promoting and visiting places.

I can see a Meghan & Harry really doing something global and substantial and hitting the ground running.

I see the royals getting stale with the new streamlined Royal not getting headlines. It’ll be tricky with no lesser royals to generate scandals and glamour, weddings and babies and leave the main players to look aloof, above being Human and immortal.

The Times is reporting that they are being snubbed by US A/listers and weren’t invited to Oprah’s latest party

Well we know that isn't true. They were just with a bunch of A listers at Ellen's house.

But Ellen is also being snubbed by A listers?
She’s beyond the pale since her show was cancelled in disgrace

That is a lot of networking.

Absolutely me too. They're obviously friends with this group.

I was just pointing out that one should never believe what they read in the tabloids. Again.

Ellen DeGeneres and Meghan have a lot in common - both have been accused by multiple people of being utterly toxic to work for - Ellen's show was cancelled on the back of the toxic workplace she fostered, so I'm sure they get on like a house on fire.

But, but..
That was exactly what was written in the tabloids - that they are friends and family. So you do believe what is written in the tabloids (as long as they are ones you agree with).

I don’t see how Harry could front any mental health work - not after he retold the story of mocking a disabled woman while he was at school. Even if you think it can be excused as ‘teenage silliness’, as I did, initially, nothing excuses his unapologetic retelling of it as a funny anecdote in his book. And frankly, the more I think about it, the more I think that even as a kid he must have known that what he was doing was wrong.

People are basing this whole snubbed thing because they weren't invited to Oprah's birthday party. Except the party in question was an Anastasia Beverly Hills 25th Anniversary party, NOT Oprah's birthday party. The invitees were set by ABH and included people who supported the brand over the last 25 years.

@onlylarkin Thanks. I actually asked whether it was true that they had signed up to appear on the Kardashians show this year.

I don't think they are splitting up at all. They aren't self aware people, they are occupied with the newness of family life so while the good times roll on and the money flows in, there will not be a pang of conscience to provoke it.

Once the kids are older and if either parent matures and acquires values then it could cause a clash to provoke a split.

I have no idea on the Kardashians. Though I would say I doubt it because there are rarely people outside the family that appear. I don't think I have ever watched an episode, so maybe I am wrong on that.

Kardashians are, above all else, are very business savvy and take all the hate straight to the bank. So maybe Kris can mentor H & M in the ways of business?

Yes, I think that is the setup they will go for in the end. They have some really powerful acquaintances and friends, no one could disagree.

A child born to a surrogate wouldn’t be in the line of succession so I can’t see them doing that.

They have $100m in the bank and mix with American TV stars. That obviously makes them very happy. I wish they’d stop all the talk of wanting to make the world a better place because all they seen to do is cause confusion and pain.

A 3rd child would be very far down in the LOS, so I am not sure it would matter.

IMO, anyone living in the US need not be in the LOS, but I don't make the rules.

The only option open to them is a second Harry and Meghan reality series from Netflix.

These two need to leech off family scandals, secrets and reputations forever because they can't make a meaningful living in other ways to finance that lifestyle.
It takes that goldfish bowl feeling to a whole other level when two occasional dippers are sniffing about for content and selectively interpreting every facial expression and gesture for its dollar value.
